The staff was very friendly. Everybody that I ask help from, went out of their way to help me out. The parking is not great because you have to back out into traffic & it not that many spaces. But I had a good time.

My review is for the men’s section. I love Annette’s description of it being«definitely low tech.» The neighborhood reminds me of Pico Union in LA — a bit sketchy, graffiti on some buildings, and a dude in a cowboy hat selling ice cream and homemade onion things that look like Funyons in clear sandwich baggies. The selection of jeans is mostly of Wrangler, Dickies, and a limited selection of Levis, namely boot cut, 501 and 515. We found some good slim fit 514 and the price was great — at least 30% retail. There were also some cool pumas, mostly tennies, that I’ll probably come back for. retail clerks were nice and helpful, but in true ‘low tech’ fashion one was eating his lunch IN the store, dangling his plate on stack of Levis sneakers(no loss there if his enchiladas messed those up). They take all major credit cards, including amex. plenty of meter spots and free parking a block in on the side street.

Ok, just get over the Jefferson Blvd. bias and check out Levines. It is definitely low tech but you can find some cool stuff cheap in here. They have a good children’s selection, Dr. Dentons and Carters off price. They have standard items for women and men, again really inexpensive. It’s a pretty good place to dig around for bargains.
