This restaurant is so pretty! I like the interior, very clean and inviting. Me and a bunch of girls went there for brunch. The food was amazing. However the i’m not fan of their customer service. Our server is not friendly at all and everyone that work there does’t look happy about their job. Will I be back? Maybe not.

Went here on New Year’s Eve. It’s in a very nice area and the atmosphere is really nice inside. I’ll have to say that I expected the food to be a little better. It was good food but I was hoping for great. I do suggest coming in and checking it out at least once though. They make good cocktails and the staff is fun.

Terrible! One of the worst meals I have had. The pulled taco for brunch was bitter. The coffee was horrible. My wife had the egg Benedict and it was so bad she could not finish it. My son enjoyed his steak and eggs. We intended to go to Café Madrid but they were closed for lunch and ended up here. I don’t think we will go back.

Visited for a special evening — service was beyond outstanding, food was terrific, and the setting was ideal. Chad, our server, was attentive but not intrusive — the tough balance to find. The snapper(the special) was superb, and my fiancée’s salmon was excellent as well. I have dined at many fine restaurants, especially back east, and this compared to the best of them. Whatever the chef did with the vegetables was unreal — best I have ever had.(After reading other reviews, I chose to go for the seafood special — the chef does know what he’s doing.) It was, bar none, one of the best meals I have ever had. I called ahead for reservations and was just able to secure a spot. Since it was a special night, they gave us a great seat(as requested) on the patio. It turns out there’s live Spanish music playing across the street on some weekends — and this was one. You couldn’t find a more perfect location. To top it all off, Chad/Le Bilboquet offered a free champagne toast for our special occasion — adding a touch of class to an already-terrific experience. Well done! We will be back — and send many others your way. Fine food, fine service, and a touch of class on top.

Very average, decent food and poor service. You can tell the ownership is different than the Atlanta or NYC locations. Forgot my drink, won’t be back! Go to Bistro 31 in Highland Park Village. Much better service and food!

I have been several times over the last 6 months. Always dinner, always on the weekend, always ordered fish(usually the special) with Crème Brulee for dessert. The halibut has been absolutely delicious. If they offer a fish as the special, it is because they know what they are doing and have something fabulous in the works. I have ordered Crème Brulee in fine restaurants in almost every major US city. I would still order it at Le Bilboquet because it is good, just not great.

I love French cuisine, and this is one of the best spots in town. However, the service leaves something to be desired. Last night, for example, the server spilled hot sauce ALLOVER me, staining my jacket, shirt and pants. He did apologize but seemed largely unconcerned, and I had to ask him to bring some club soda(which didn’t get out the stain). No offer to dry clean, comp, no nothing. As someone who’s worked in food service, that’s just bad form.

The restaurant is beautiful… very clean and inviting! On the weekends they have brunch and the blueberry pancakes are ridiculous melt in your mouth delicious!!! Oh the coffee is delish too! Today for lunch I tried their Fish of the Day. This dish is truly spectacular! Love everything about this place!

Really enjoyed the food at this place. Had dinner with a big group a few weeks ago. The ceviche was so good, and huge — they’ll split it between two people and there is more than enough for both. I had the Cajun chicken on my friend’s recommendation and it did not disappoint. Flavorful and juicy. With the most incredible shoestring fries. Great wine list. I’d definitely go back!

Delicious food and very good service. The seafood in particular is quite well done(loved my salmon). Seating is both indoors and on a covered patio.

This was unexpected pleasure on a Sunday morning for Brunch. Great weather and we were lucky to get a seat outside and it was an amazing people watching spot. Food was great, atmosphere was wonderful. Eggs Benedict and Cobb Salad — perfection, and a great surrounding of people and activity on Travis Street. Try it! Definitely be back and get reservations on a hot day under the outdoor shade…

Had a dinner here last night and it was phenomenal! We started off with the Steak Tartare, which I had never tried because, and it was awesome(must try for someone who’s never had steak tartare!). We also had the crab & avocado salad– delicious! I, along with the majority of my table, had the filet– one of the best I’ve had in Dallas(the sauce was to die for). Finished off the night with a crème brûlée– a MUST have! This is a must try place while in Dallas, I will definitely be coming back here(I hear their brunch is great too).

Food was amazing, the patio area is great for brunch time, service was a little bit slow, we were missing silverware when food came out, took a long time for refills on drinks, and the glasses of water smelled like eggs, i recommend them to wash all glasses in bar area cause our mimosas didn’t have that smell.

It was so beautiful this past Sunday, so we decided to have brunch on a nice patio. When going in the area of Le Bilboquet, we saw how open, yet shaded the patio was, so we dropped in for a table for two and were immediately seated. Once seated, a man brought us two waters. Ten minutes later, we still hadn’t met our waiter. As we sat and sat, finally, a waiter came to us and said he would be just a moment. Ten minutes later, he was still at the next table flirting. I knew he was flirting because I could hear the whole thing. Finally, another waiter came up to us and asked if we had been helped, and when we said no, he took over our table and got our drink orders. We ordered two mimosas. My mimosa had way too much orange juice and pulp in it, so I gave it to my fiancé and ordered a Bellini. The Bellini was too sweet, so I gave that drink away too. About 15 minutes later, we were finally asked if we were ready to place our food orders, and we quickly said yes. It took over 20 minutes before it came out. I ordered the Egg Florentine with scrambled eggs instead of poached. The dish would have been glorious if it weren’t for the over indulgence of hollandaise that the chef decided to drench my meal with. Normally, I love a lot of hollandaise, but this was just way too much to be enjoyed. It ruined the plate. I also had some of the Egg Bilboquet, and I thought it was ok, but my fiancé complained that there was hardly any duck meat on the plate. We also ordered a half order of the Blueberry Pancakes, and the pancake was amazing. It was crisp on the outside, and light on the inside. I’m still not sure why a man came to offer us a bread basket after our food had already arrived. It would have been nice to have the bread before the food came since we had been sitting there for 45 minutes before getting it. We had finished eating and our empty plates sat in front of us for over 10 minutes before we had to ask for them to be removed. We even had to run the waiter down to give us our bill. It’s too bad that our service was so horrible. They were clearly understaffed, and the two waiters that were there to cover the patio took their time serving everyone. We weren’t in a rush; however, this service was too under par for me to return here anytime soon.

The best French food in Dallas. My wife and I come here at least once a month. The setting is elegant yet subtle. The food is phenomenal. Best foie gras in the city hands down. Other amazing dishes: grilled romaine salad, poulet Cajun, grass-fed ribeye, crab avocado salad, lobster roll, beef carpaccio, endives roquefort, rack of lamb… too many to name. The service is excellent.

Second time here and has been amazing both time. Very simple dishes but very well executed. Have tried the following(in order of best to good). Cajun chicken, rainbow trout, veal scaloppine, roast chicken, pork chop, duck breast. Some reviews on bad service couldn’t be more wrong. We had fantastic service even with them slightly messing up my order.

QUICKHIT(Must Go vs. Consider Checking It Out vs. Pass/Don’t Bother): Pass/Don’t Bother Dining Recap: Arrived at this French Bistro at peak hours on a Sunday for brunch. We made reservations in advance(although seemingly not required based on the number of vacated tables) and were seated in a prompt manner. After browsing our menus, we waited roughly 15 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order. Fine, no worries. After she returned with our drinks, she left, and we waited another 15 minutes to finally order our food. Unfortunately, it was at that time that she notified us that the lobster roll was unavailable and that the steak and eggs is a pork, not beef, steak(which is not listed on the menu). Since I would have preferred the former and can’t have the latter, I selected the also appetizing Eggs Le Bilboquet. After another 25 minutes passed, and the number of occupied tables had dwindled, we received our food. Well-presented, smelled delicious. Oh wait, only two of us had our silverware. We kindly asked the waitress if we could have some silverware. After 5 minutes of her disappearance, we simply grabbed two sets from a nearby table. The food was fine. Nothing special, nothing memorable. My dish came with two eggs, house made biscuits, duck confit gravy(sans duck), and potato hash for $ 14. Once again, nothing spectacular, but a decent meal. Overall, the food was mediocre and the service was disappointing. Dinner may be different, but I am pessimistic. I will update this review if I return, which is unlikely.

The Setting: 6 visits here over the last year, the«go-to» restaurant for my fiancé and me. NOTE: Reviews vary across the board for this place, as it truly does depend on what you order here. The Vibe: 4 Stars — True French Bistro vibe, with white table cloths and candles… but somehow they seem to do this without being stuffy. The crowd is mostly couples and small groups from nearby, and the age ranges across the board. The Service: 4 Stars — We have now been enough times that they remember us and what we like to order, but even without that treatment, the service is good, while relaxed. The Food: 4 Stars — As seen my many reviews, there are things to order and things not to order. Their salads are not too impressive and their lemon tart dessert is a bit gross. The beef carpaccio gets mixed reviews, although we have enjoyed it. Now, let me tell you what to get… first, the Crab and Avocado salad is amazing. Tons of lump crab meat and avocado with great flavoring and a very good value. Secondly, the Cajun Chicken. I know what you’re thinking, this sounds weird at a French restaurant. Please just trust me and order it. If you come to Dallas for one night I seriously recommend you come here and order this dish. It is ridiculous how good it is, and consistently good. Lastly, the profiteroles for dessert. Instead of cream/custard, they use ice cream, and it is wonderful. The Bottom Line: Great service + the above recommended ordering selections = great meal.

I simply LOVE this place! My husband and I go at least once a month. His favorites are the poulet Cajun and the tartare. I’m French and I can tell you the Foie Gras is the best I’ve had in the 10+ yrs I’ve been living in the US. Their meat is always excellent and they introduce new dishes very often to keep things exciting. I work in the neighborhood and I sometimes take my coworkers there for lunch: they all love it! Service is friendly and professional. Can’t wait to try their brunch!
