You can’t beat the flavors and varieties of suasages offerred. Their venison breakfast sausage and chorizo are hands-down the best I’ve ever had. BUT — they are still in the stone ages when it comes to packaging — they do not offer vacuum packing, and the link sausages come«bulk» in 5-lb bags. Who wants to get home and have to immediately re-package all of their meat? The salami dries out in a few months if not vacuum-sealed or wrapped in butcher paper. Their hamburger meat and breakfast sausages come frozen in 1.5 lb bags — not really a convenient size since most recipies call for one pound quantities. Several of my friends have been repeatedly shorted this year on their meat by up to 25% that Kuby’s called«waste» — bloodshot or dirty meat. Interesting because the fresh kill went straight to a gambrel, was skinned, gutted, washed, quartered, and then transferred directly to an ice chest.(I for one have not had this problem because I debone all of my meat myself at home and then take them the boneless meat — that way there is no question of how much meat that I took in.) This has only occured beginning at the very end of last year and this year on multiple occaisions with my friends, and I have had Kuby’s process my meat for the past 25 years. Not saying that they may have an internal«skimming» problem, but it does raise the question. I have not seen a review on here less than a year old, but I am curious as to how many others have noticed this abrupt departure from previous experiences. Once again, the flavor and variety can’t be beat — but that can only carry someone so far. Kuby’s needs to do some self-examination and see what they can do to get their house in better order.

There’s No Tellin’ what you’ll see hunters dropping off @ Kuby’s! The Hunter Sticks & Jalapeño Cheese Smoked Sausage are my favorites! I do miss the Vinson tamales they used to offer. They were so good! By Far, Kuby’s is the BEST place to have your game processed! Try Kuby’s, you won’t be disappointed. Can’t beat the Great Service, either! Ask for Johnathan, he’s very helpful and knowledgeable. My husband wouldn’t take his game anywhere else!

IMO, this is hands down the best spot I have ever been to for game processing. Their venison and pork sausages, respectively, stand up to ANY in the city. Rudolph’s is an admirable 2nd place, but you hands-down cannot beat Kuby’s. Truly the best.

As the previous reviewer stated this is THE place to get your game processed. You can find other processors in and around the metroplex that are cheaper but from my experience none that are better or offer more variety of sausage. Besides sausage Kuby’s will cut steaks, filets, and just about any cut that you would like as well as offering tenderizing. They also does a great job of making ground venison/elk, etc with the option of adding 5% beef fat or not. All of the sausage is pre-cooked except the breakfast sausage and the Italian Sausage. The standouts for me are the Bratwurst(Go figure them being German), The Hunter Sticks, and the Jalapeño /Cheese Salami. Kuby’s does do jerkey however don’t expect typical thin type beef jerkey… this is really thick and slightly peppered. I have taken many different types of game and have never had an issue. The only thing that comes to mind as a minus is that they used to offer tamales as an option(deer season only) however as of this year it is no longer offered.
