Delicious fresh baked goodies in a beautifully decorated house on a hill. The owner was so courteous to explain each cookie. I bought three! They are huge. The brownie cookies are heavenly. Forget about dieting because they are decadent and moist. My fav so far is the chocolate brownie with a soft gooey peanut butter cookie inside. Yummy yummy lawd ha mercy! #foodie

You guys were fun! Thanks for make my bday yum! We got the three flavor deal– Pecan Chocolate chip, honey roast peanut putter and the hot chocolate! You guys aren’t messing around and cheaper than Tiffs and to be honest more fun! The only suggestion is make sure you’re name gets full stamped onto your box!

Hands down… the best cookies I’ve every tasted. I fell head over heels with this place after tasting the Hot Chocolate. A wonderful blend of sweet and real spicy toy with every taste bud. The cookies are so delicious that I make sure to share with people who haven’t tried them… and especially folks visiting Dallas.

5 stars without hesitation. Every person has their own very specific mental image of what a cookie or brownie ought to be, but just go ahead and throw that right out the window and just appreciate these cookies for what they are. And what they are is huge, like dessert plate sized. They are also firmer, possibly indicating a slightly higher flour content, yet uniformly tender if not soft. They have a lovely flavor with their high quality butter, extracts, and spices. The only one I found bland was the plain chocolate chip but that blandness is beautifully resolved with the addition of toasted pecans, so I recommend the pecan chocolate chip instead. Their brownies are unbelievable. They’re the same gigantic size as the cookies and they’re thick and fudgey with a crackly top. So far my favorite is just the plain chocolate. I almost want to say that they’re even better than the cookies, but that’s like comparing apples to oranges so I’ll just say that they’re equally worth trying. Plus, this business itself is quite lovely. Beautiful shop, kindly staff/owner, loyalty program, and they throw in extras like free 7th cookie when you buy 6! And yes, it’s pricey… this is Bishop Arts/Kessler Park/Dallas after all.

These cookies are the best. I get different cookies every time I come. But they have a rewards program so that you make the most of your dollars. The owner is really nice and explained each cookie with care and passion. My favorite cookie is the hot chocolate cookie. It is to die for. The cookies are the right consistently, the right crumb size and great for overall size. The cookies are worth the price. The place is clean and it is easy to find. This place is better than Tiff Treats. I would definitely recommend this place and the cookie to anyone Note: they also serve brownie but I have not tried those. They however look great.

My aunt and I got a bag of Kessler hot chocolate mix. It was so horrible we could only take two sips. Maybe the bag was bad, but I have never tasted any hot chocolate this bad.

The fiancé and I had a serious case of the sweet tooth but didn’t want to travel far to satisfy it. I wanted pie, he wanted cookies. He won. We had always driven by this place on the way to Jonathons or heading home from work and wasn’t sure if it was just catering or if they actually sold individual treats. Luckily we decided to pop in to find out and were amazed at all of the different varieties of cookies and blondies on the menu. At any given time there are about 30 delectable treats to choose from. We ordered an oatmeal toffee cookie, a peanut butter cookie, a chocolate chip cookie blondie(which had actual cookie inside) and a few other delicious treats. Each one was very moist and were huge! The owner was super friendly and really enjoys his craft. I’m sure we will frequent this place when our sweet tooth hits.

I was craving something really sweet and reading the Unilocal reviews I thought why not try this place out. The cookies were jumbo size which made me so happy!!! I had the oatmeal and kesslerdoodle which were both full of flavor BUT they weren’t the soft and chewy texture I was yearning for. Other than that the employees were so sweet and helpful. I think I’ll go back, & give the brownies a try.

I decided to drop in as had read all the reviews on Unilocal and well who doesn’t love a good cookie. Nice little shop with jars of cookies and brownies. The workers were very nice and knowledgeable of their products. They had a party or something going on so it was very loud so I could hardly hear the workers. I would advise them to have a separate room or something when party’s are going on so other customers can hear or at least talk. I really didn’t like the cookies or the brownie’s. They both felt dry and crumbly. I was really expecting more a moist/soft cookie. They weren’t the worst I’ve ever had but I expected more when that is your specialty. I really wanted to love this place as I haven’t really found a great dessert place by Trinity Groves.

Decided to drop in as my friends and I were walking down the street back to our cars after having brunch a few doors down. Cookies are my thing. I’ll choose a cookie over cake, brownies, or any other sugary goodness any day of the week. First impression — cute little shop with large jars of cookies and brownies! Both workers were very amiable and knowledgeable of their products. I was excited to dive into a variety of cookies and bought half a dozen, which scored me a free cookie! Woohoo! Unfortunately, I wasn’t that impressed with the cookies themselves. They were dry and crumbly, and the flavor was just okay. Stinks to write this because the people were sooooo nice! I really wanted to like this place, but I was expecting more gooey, moist cookies(think Barnes & Noble Starbucks cookies, Corner Bakery, Panera Bread, etc.). If you’re not a cookie freak like me and just want a little(well a lot. cookies are big haha) something sweet with friendly service, definitely stop by!

Their cookies are good but I wouldn’t say it’s great. Maybe it’s just not for me. I find the prices too steep and the texture is off. I prefer my cookies crisp on the outside but soft chewy on the inside. This cookie is big no doubt and it’s thick and doughy, kinda like a scone texture. Wife and I bought 12 and we felt the same way about each one. I could tell it’s made with good ingredients, It’s just not my cup of tea. Everyone has their preference so I hope you’ll like it better than I did.

I knew I had to write this review only 1 bite into the brownie with pecans. So good… I stopped whatever I was doing to text my coworkers about it. Later on I also got to the peanut butter brownie and the blondie, which were also great but there was something special about that pecan one. Will be indulging myself again soon.

I have been passing by this very unassuming converted house forever! Decided today to stop in. Love the atmosphere and oh if he could bottle that smell! I got a sample of each cookie(very modestly priced). I just had some of the peanut butter. LOVE it!!! Yay!!! My new sweet treat spot!

I can’t remember the owner’s name but he was soooo nice! We had a great conversation. My favorite cookie was The Ranger cookie. Grew up on those and it transported me back in time to my childhood on Treehouse Lane on a summer’s eve. Plus you can buy imported Mexican vanilla that he uses in the cookies! Double score

The owner was fabulous! The space is cute and smells of fresh cookies… I wish I could bottle up the smell and put it in a candle because it is fabulously delicious. I wil be ordering cookies for my Christmas Company party! The chocolate chip cookie and Blondie was everything!!!

Nice staff, cute shop, and good cookies. The shop itself is in a converted home. You walk in to the main area and see a bunch of large cookie jars filled with some tasty looking cookies cookies. The guy who took my order was really friendly and helpful and was more than willing to answer my questions. Also gave me a lot of information about their business — all products made from scratch and using local Texas butter. I like hearing little tidbits about these businesses. The cookies themselves were delicioouus. Crunchy around the sides, and chewy on the inside. Nice portion sizes, and not a terribly bad deal for $ 2 per cookie. I tried a brownie as well, but it was a bit too much chocolate for me.

Kessler Cookie Company is a bakery that specializes in cookies located in Oak Cliff. It’s a charming shop with nice, oversized cookies. Definitely a must stop if you’re in the area. My Overall Rating — 4 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — Kessler Cookie Company is a converted house. The living room serves as the main area, and you’ll find an assorted number of cookies in big glass jars. There’s a delectable smell throughout. My main complaint is that it’s tough to get to. There’s minimal parking and you have to walk up a hill(sidewalk under construction). Also it would be nice if there were a small table/chair just in case you want to sit around and snack. ½ Star. Service — The owner/baker was super nice, and most important, he was excited & proud to show off his cookies. They also do large cater orders, but we were there just to sample. You can tell how much passion they have and you know it translates to the cookies. 1 Star. Food — The cookies are quite large. I’d say they’re at least 5 inches in diameter. Honestly, I ate mine too fast to really remember. They’re nice and soft in the middle, with generous amounts to ingredients(e.g. chocolate chips, etc.). I microwaved mine for 15 seconds, dipped them in milk, and was immediately transformed back into a 10 year old kid sampling a freshly baked warm cookie while washing it down with ice cold milk. My favorites were the Kessler-doodle, chocolate chip, & oatmeal raisin. 2 Stars. Will I Return? — Maybe when I’m in the area. While I loved Kessler Cookie Company, its location will keep me from being a regular. If I’m ever in the area, it’s an automatic visit. I just can’t see myself going out of my way to Oak Cliff ONLY for a cookie run. Having said that, if you’re in the area or perhaps finishing a meal in Bishop Arts, pass on the dessert & make a short drive to experience the goodness of Kessler Cookie Company. ½ Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.
