I saw Dr. Toler in 1997 for symptoms of numbness, tingling in my feet and unable to move my little finger. I was also very shaky at this time. Dr. Toler had me walk on my tiptoes and try to walk in a straight line in addition to touching my index finger to my nose. My co-ordination is not the best even during times when I feel well, let alone when I was feeling sick. I laughed when I tried to walk in a straight line on my tip toes. Dr. Toler stared at me as if I had 3 heads. I explained about my co-ordination situation, she has a very poor bedside manner and at least at that time non-existent sense of humor. To make matters worse, Dr. Toler wrote on my receipt«demyelinating disease»(layman’s terms for Multiple Sclerosis), all without the benefit of any testing. She told me she would write an order for an MRI but that she could tell just by looking at me that I had MS. Geez, she must’ve been a brainiac at med school. She even tried to cheat my insurance company by billing both under her name as well as the name of another neurologist in the same practice. I saw another neurologist in another practice who did order an MRI, a spinal tap as well as heavy metals testing and all tests were negative. Strangely enough after I was fired from my toxic job all of the symptoms went away. So if you like having the bejeezus scared out of you and a doctor that sees no need for testing, Dr. Toler is your woman. However, if you want a doctor with a caring and scientific approach, run the other way.
