Great old fashioned hamburger joint. It was really hard to find a parking spot, but totally worth it. Given the chance, I will be back.

Went here after celebrating the nuptials of my two friends. Only ordered a slice of Italian cream cake, but it was fabulous. Moist, smooth, and flavorful. Same goes for the small amount of carrot cake I was able to have from my fiancé. The spices used definitely made it a worthwhile aftertaste. Got a look at the fries and they were fresh cut, which already makes it a superior fry.

Fried mushroom is really good, especially with the tartar-ish sauce that comes with it. The price for burgers is also very reasonable.

Always a good food. Always cheap. Always good service. Always. I’ve never been here and not been happy with the food and how we are treated. Service is great even during the always busy lunch rush. Best Burger in Oak Cliff!

Classic burger and fries place. Cute setting. The Vanilla Coke was awesome. Had the Hawaiian Burger and that was dang good. Good burgers and repeatable side items. Nothing that original but would definitely return. Great service!

I hope they don’t ever change a thing about their food– the burgers ARESOGOOD. I ordered the simple cheeseburger and could taste the fresh cracked pepper in the meat– YUM. The ingredients were fresh and simple! My husband had the chili(Swiss)cheese burger — BIG flavor so affordable too! Both burgers were $ 13! We also had an amazing Blue Bell milkshake and it was DIVINE. Not to mention, the staff were SOOONICE, sweet and welcoming. Good vibes and good food? IMBOUTIT

We went here on a family outing today and discovered it’s stroller friendly! We ordered the blue cheese double double with tater tots w/cheese and the chipotle double double with small fries. It was okay. Blue cheese burger tasted odd, but that didn’t stop me from eating it(side eye emoji). The tater tots were just as good as sonics. Chipotle burger was good, I was told, but didn’t have enough sauce. I’m coming back and trying something else! Especially the desserts! They looked amazing, but I can’t say for certain.

I had the Blue Cheese Cheese Burger, onion rings, and a large glass of Coke Zero. The food was(because it’s gone now) delicious. This is the place to come for burgers, really. The fast food places have just become so disappointing(you know who you are), they’re not worth the calories. But this place, let’s just say I put the diet to the side for a minute, and I feel fabulous. Now, I may have to walk a little longer, and squat a little deeper, but it’s worth it!

If I could I’d give it a 3.5. It’s a solid place to stop by to grab some grub but definitely not my favorite burger I’ve ever had. My biggest complaint is the onions on the burger come diced, not sliced and that makes it difficult to eat. However, the service was great, warm and welcoming. I love being greeted with a smile! The atmosphere is cool too, it has a diner feel. Parking is a challenge, so it’s probably best to find a spot a few blocks away and walk. Plus, there are so many shops to check out, the walk would be a pleasant one! I’d come back and try their desserts. They had a lemon cake that looked very promising!

Old fashion hamburgers. Its a nice place great service but the taste not that great. I was expecting for more. It has a variety of menu, I order the jalapeño cheese burger and the taste is very bland to our taste. Hubby and me still prefer uncle über over this burger joint.

Great place for the whole family. The bacon on the cheese burgers is thick, crispy and delicious! The mozzarella sticks are second to none. Loved the atmosphere in here — very retro. The food was good and cheap.

The burgers are delicious! I had the guacamole cheddar cheese burger today and added bacon of course. It was really fresh homestyle burger. I wanted a shake but it’s a little to cold right now. They do have cheap adult beverages for my drinkers.

I can totally appreciate a good burger and this is one that I under estimated! The taste was great, rich meat, all fresh veggies and completely satisfies your hamburger lover gut! My husband and I each got a Bacon Cheeseburger, a large basket of French fries, small one of Onion Rings and two drinks for about $ 20! If your around Bishop come try them!

Came in from Houston and needed a burger. Typical 50s diner experience. Great service. No fancy pants burgers or anything like that. It is what it is. Had the Buffalo burger(bison) medium. It was great. Chased it with tater tots. I would definitely come back.

Kind of like a Braums burger but a bit better! So don’t expect some fancy shmancy burger now! But it is very yummy. Go for an old fashioned burger and shake and you are good to go!

Cheap, Simple, and Satisfying. This is my go to spot in Bishop Arts when I want a quick bite and a good cheeseburger. Ever since Hunky’s came into my life I don’t go to any fast food burger joints(except In and Out). They have a wide rage of options and a quick pace staff which makes it perfect for work lunches. It has a community vibe, and is a perfect spot for families. I HIGHLY suggest their frito pie, fried pickles, and zucchini fries!

It’s a good old fashioned burger place in Bishop arts district. The service was good and very friendly. Burger was good, ordered the double meat cheese burger, the meat was juicy and the buns toasty and delicious! Had the onion rings, they were ok, next time I’ll go with the fries. They have many choices for drinks and different kinds of cakes for dessert. If you’re around Bishop Arts and are craving a burger, come check this place and taste a good old fashioned burger.

Went to Dallas for the first time with my cousin to find something to eat after coming back from the Dallas Zoo and we saw this place! The environment brings me back to a 60’s diner. It was super cute! Plus the staff were very kind and patient. On a plus side, their burgers were great! My cousin ordered a salmon burger which was under $ 10 and said it was better than a salmon burger worth more than $ 10! I ordered the spicy black bean burger and can I say it was amazing! The guacamole added to it kicked the spot. Would definitely go back here!

Had lunch here today. My girlfriend and I were really impressed with this diner style burger and sandwich joint. We tried the burgers. She had the cheeseburger and fries and I had the double double(double meat double cheese) and tots. The burgers were right on. Very meaty and juicy. She isn’t a big burger fan and normally doesn’t finish her burgers and eats all of her fries. She actually said forget the fries, I’m finishing this burger! We tried the cheese sticks and they were just regular plain Jane cheese sticks. Good still, but not a star. We just wanted cheese sticks. They have a really nice ranch. Pretty flavorful. I ended up eating my tots and cheese sticks with it. They hand grind their meat daily. And hand form the patties when you order. They had 4 cheese choices, American, Swiss, cheddar, and Monterey Jack. There are a lot of sandwich and burger choices here. You’ll definitely have something to eat. They have some cakes, but I can’t comment on them as we didn’t try them.

It’s Hunky’s Hamburgers, need I say more? Great burgers, including a black bean and veggie patty, if you are searching for that. I love the sweet potato fries. Beer is always cold. Kids love the diner look and you can’t beat the corner location and all the windows.

I was born and raised in Olé East Dallas but have lived in Fort Worth since 1998. My wife and I planned a date to Dallas Bishop Arts District on Monday 3÷30÷2015. I researched places to eat and most were very expensive until I happened to see a listing for Hunky’s Hamburgers in the Bishop Arts District. I reviewed the menu and noticed that it was very reasonable so I decided that my wife and I will dine there for lunch on our date. We rode the TRE to Dallas($ 20 day pass) and jumped on the DLink(free) to the Bishop Arts District. By now it was already close to noon so we heading up to Hunky’s. Once you step inside you are reminded of a Soda Fountain Era setting. Lunch crowd was not crowed at all. We placed our order, my wife had the daily combo special and before I ordered I asked how big the Burgers were. I was told ¼ pound burgers, so I ended up getting the double meat cheeseburger with everything on it and fries and a drink. Needless to saw, my burger was AWESOME to the point I could not finish it… I know… sad to waste great food BUT I only had like 3 – 4 bites left. The entire meal was amazing and just like it should be and the presentation was perfect and the price was very reasonable, $ 17 for 2 meals. The only sad thing was the lack of people dining here on a lunch period and most shops closed during the day. Needless to say, I WILLBEBACK! My new favorite place to dine with family come the summer months visit’s to Dallas.

An old tradition burger joint in the Bishop Arts area. They offer a variety of choices on their menu. They also have a daily lunch special. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Cheeseburger with Jalepeno added. Also tried their fried zucchinis and chili cheese tator tots. All was tasty. Fried zucchinis was actually my favorite as a side choice.

They are a big corner restaurant in the heart of the Bishop Art’s District. Hunky’s is a classic hamburger diner reminiscent of the 1960’s. With bright teal counters, neon signs, and handmade shakes. Their prices are reasonable, service is friendly. It is a great place for quick comfort food. I love cheese on my hamburgers, and wish they offered other options beside American… Cheddar, Pepper Jack, and Blue Cheese Crumbles would be heavenly.

Your standard burgers at a diner. My friend and I went just for takeout so review might be skewed. I ordered a mushroom and swiss burger and my friend ordered the guacamole cheddar burger. My mushroom and swiss burger wasn’t bad, but I would’ve liked the mushrooms to be sauteed more. My friend’s burger didn’t even have any guacamole on it. How do you miss the most important part of the burger(other than the meat itself)? Nevertheless, it’s one of your cheaper options in Bishop Arts.

Hunky’s is a classic Dallas dive burger spot! I’ve been to the one on Cedar Springs and I recently visited this one, located within the now flourishing Bishop’s Art District. The Burgers and big and juicy and always hit that honey hole just right. lol The onion rings are a great side item addition as well. This place has great craft brews to accompany your appitite Hunky’s Hamburgers is a 5-star Dallas Delight. Peace!

We stopped here on Friday night for a quick bite to eat while shopping in Bishop Arts. The prices are affordable and the service was great. My hubby and I each ordered the double-double with ketchup and mustard and we shared tator tots and onion rings. I was expecting the burgers to be thinner than they were. It was too big of a burger for me. Next time I will just get one patty ;) The tator tots were good but the onion rings were the stand out. They are fried in tempura batter and have a great batter to them. We will be back next time we are in Bishop Arts.
