I guess Noelle fails to see that business responses to Unilocal reviews are supposed to be addressed to the customer… but instead of apologizing for the terrible service she’s defending herself. Interesting. Let me just clarify some things: When I told her it was $ 80 at my regular salon, Groove, in deep ellum. I never said it was my friend — she is my regular hairstylist, who gives me a regular rate. Noelle made that whole bit up. Also, I was not moving around in the chair? I don’t know where Noelle even got this idea. It wasn’t a small bleach stain, mind you, there were LARGE stains on the shirt(everywhere my hair touched my chest/back, she didn’t even use foil) — as she was using a cloth cape that is meant for cutting hair NOT dying it. Noelle didn’t start the ombré, she just went over the blonde that was already there with bleach to make it brighter, then applied the hair color I asked for. A pretty basic job. I wasn’t trying to buy some voucher online. I just checked in on Unilocal,as I do at most businesses, and she had a CHECKIN coupon!(You know, like a coupon you can ONLY get when you are INSIDE the business) I had never received such awful customer service in this industry as I did here. And then for her to LIE about my awful experience to potential new customers in her response? Incredible. And as for her addressing my profile picture? Cringingly unprofessional. Do not give this crazy person the benefit of the doubt.

Terrible experience. I purchased a groupon online and called to make an appointment. I told Noell I had a groupon for color and cut and that I needed a cut and highlight. She said no problem and scheduled me for the next day. When I arrived, I explained to her I had purchased extensions(which are not cheap) and put them in myself and just wanted the ends trimmed. She started chopping my hair with a razor and giving me layers, saying she was«blending it». Then she proceeded to tell me the groupon would not work for highlights, but only all over color and that I couldn’t use it for this service or even put the credit towards it. I would of never went to her unless I could use the groupon and at this point I was sitting in the chair with half my hair done, stuck. The highlights weren’t terrible but I asked to get around my hairline because I pull my hair back and she did not do that and I have diagonal stripes. After the color, she proceeded to keep chopping and left me with my hair 3 inches shorter, ruined extensions, random chunks of hair everywhere and horrible layers. She charged me $ 150 for a cut(oh and the razor cut which I didn’t ask for was more expensive) and partial highlight which is insane for the service she provided. She completely scammed me and knew it! I called her the next day to tell her how unhappy I was and got no answer. I texted her twice and got no reply. I even told her I would write a bad review on her and she still did not have the decency to call or text me back. I am not only out $ 150, but I had to go pay $ 150 more for new extensions because she completely ruined mine, plus another $ 40 to get them trimmed by someone else! I’ve never dealt with such an unprofessional and untalented stylist and I hope this saves someone else from having a terrible experience.

Let me tell you that Noell knows hair, especially hair color. I got tired of using the boxes from the grocery store because they faded so quickly and the color was never consistent. Noell immediately fixed the color and added highlights. I never received so many compliments on my hair. In November, she traveled to Arlington to get me «fixed up» for my son’s wedding. She did the hair as well as the makeup. I was glad I spent the money after I saw the wedding pictures. If you want a trusted hair colorist and stylist, I highly recommend Hair by Noell.
