So, Greg has been cutting my hair since I was in High School when he was at Toni and Guy and his haircuts were upwards of $ 100. I have strayed from time to time(like our year long rendezvous in Austin, or those crazy times I was thinking I wanted a change) and have always come back. Why? 1. He is extremely precise. You want someone to cut your hair and mean it? You like having your hair cut for an hour? This is your man. 2. He listens and makes suggestions. He looks at your face and tells you how it would look best. 3. His hair cuts are so good that they look even better as they grow out. I often go thorough phases of «CUTITGREG!» and then«GROWITOUT!» and then back again. He’s always helpful and patient, and I’ve always looked good at all phases(toot toot). :) 4. He can blow dry and style better than anyone I’ve ever met. I have only had him cut my hair. He does color also, but I’ve either gone to someone else or just done it myself. I’ve seen people leave who have had it colored and they look great. On my last visit we talked about how much he likes doing both because he feels like he can really control what the look is going to be and how much he wants it to be perfect. He really is a perfectionist. He left Toni and Guy years ago and now is in Salon Boutique with his wife and another partner. He charges less than in the Toni and Guy days(women’s haircuts are around $ 60) but is worth every penny. All in all, I have never felt anything less than fabulous when I leave Greg’s chair. I have a level of trust with this man… I simply know there is no way he will screw my head up. In 15 years I have never had a complaint, never felt like I had a crooked cut, never wished for anything different(unlike so many other people I’ve been to). Finding someone who does a great job and you feel comfortable with can be so difficult!
