The came out for the Capes Against Cancer fundraiser, really added a great vibe to the event. I had their Mac and Cheese pie which I didnt know what to expect. Unfortunately I was the first person to order and item, to think the oil was hot enough thus though fully cooked at places was a bit cold. But alas great flavor and worked will together.

This food truck comes to my job at times and we are always happy to see them! It’s good to have a different option for lunch. First of all, the truck is too cute, has a 70s vibe to it. But I digress… I’ve only had the peach pie and the chicken pot pie. The peach pie was pretty good. It could have been a bit more heated, and maybe used different peaches, but overall good. The chicken pot pie is the star of this food truck. It’s everything you want in a pot pie, but in a little pocket size. So, yummy and full of flavor. I could tell some love was put into making it. Warning: Please let it cool off first. You will regret it later. LOL! The ladies that run the truck are always very upbeat and bubbly, which is good when you’ve had a long work day and you’re only half way through it . The prices are decent. Under $ 10. If you’ve been afraid of food trucks before, don’t be. This would be a great jump into food truck heaven.

It was interesting… Ordered the al pastor savory pie, supposedly pork and potatoes? Couldn’t really taste the ingredients because everything was just mushed together. Potato bits were sprinkled in there some where. Pie crust was decent, just very fried. But yes, this is a fried food truck. Also tried the peach sweet pie(which they gave us by mistake when we ordered the coconut pie). Didn’t expect it to be cold… which wasn’t great either since if they can heat up the savory pies, why can’t they heat up the sweet ones? Again, if you’re in it for the fried crust, you’ll be golden. But the filling was not worth it.

We visited this truck at the Great Texas Food Truck Rally. It was the last truck we stopped at I was craving something sweet and I was not disappointed. I was impressed because they were all about the service. They had one person outside of the truck taking orders at eye level no looking up and handing money up she was right in your face, pleasant and smiling. Our order was placed and gentleman handed us our hot delicious pies. We bought 2 cherry and pecan, OMG the pecan was heaven in a fried shell. The cherry was equally delicious. Full of cherries and not of just pie liquid, lol. I wish we would have gotten the Caramel Apple the lady after us bought the last one and since they sold out they had to be wonderful or we could have just turned a quick profit on reselling it to her. I will be on the look out for this truck so I can try the savory pies as well if they are anything like the sweet then I know I’m in for a treat.

They came to my job one day for lunch but by the time I got to the front they were all out of sweet pies so I ordered the Veggie pie. It was actually really great! I hope to try a sweet one in the future. The only thing is when there is a long line you end up waiting but I think this is typical of food trucks using a credit card swipey thing on their phone and most people don’t pay with cash(I did though). Anyways, I recommend them!

Delicious fried pies. My favorite so far is the coconut. Haven’t tried any of the savory pies, but hope to soon.
