We go to Fiesta and buy crawfish all the time. My bf went in this time to get about 15 lbs. of crawfish. He went to the crawfish bin(seafood section) and most of them were dead(less than a lb still alive). He went to ask the seafood attendant Steve Carrasco(not 100% on the last name) to put some more out because there were not many live one left in the bin. He told my bf to go over there and pick all the live one first. Come on, we need to buy 15 lbs. of crawfish and we need to stand there picking 1 by 1. He commanded to my bf like he own the place. Anyway, my bf has to go to the front and talked to a manager then he have another person put out some live crawfish. You cannot treat customers like that. That’s how a business close down. We won’t be coming back to that hell hole. Fiesta, you need to have some secret shoppers to all your stores before going bankrupt.

My boyfriend and I just left there. There was something spilled in aisle F. There were two ladies at the cash register that we told. We had to repeat ourselves a couple of times because they didn’t seem to grasp what«There is some oil or something yellow spilled I’m aisle F because my boyfriend just fell down» meant. They did not even apologize or ask if he was okay and didn’t seem to take any action to get the spill cleaned up. All I have to say is they better be glad it was my boyfriend that fell and not me.

I remember I time when I was a little nervous about going into this place(and I’m Mexican!). But there is definitely an exploding little cultural thang going on is my go to for fresh warm bolillos and inexpensive produce and meats. They have nice little non-hispanic ethic aisles towards the front left of the store. BUT avoid this place on the weekends!

We tried this place out today after hearing good things about Fiesta Mart(though not this location specifically), and we hoped we might save some money. I can’t say that the prices were all that great. They were on par with what we always pay at Walmart or World Market. Their bakery looks good, they had a good price on Mexican Cokes, and they do have a pretty great international section with some foods that are normally quite difficult to find. That being said, their produce was not nearly as fresh as I expected(to the point of several bunches of bananas that were literally rotting on the self), the freshness of the meat selection left a lot to be desired, and while not overly dirty the store was just not as clean as I had expected. Combine those things with not seeing much savings, we probably won’t be back unless we need something from the international section.

I have figured out that in Dallas you need to go to different markets to get good prices, and it is based on the culture. At Fiesta Market, you can get such great deals on fruits and vegetables used in Mexican cuisine. But the best part of this market is that it has an International Section and you can find just about anything you were looking for from England(marmite!) and other European countries, Japan and other Asian countries(including lots of Indian stuff), Arab countries, and a freezer full of vegetarian and vegan meals(if you want to nuke something). They also have fresh baked bread(comes out twice a day) which is just as good as or better than a baguette from Central Market which costs 4 times as much. I love this place!
