Every now and then they have lines; primarily cuz there’s always only 1 register open. Today’s cashier was super efficient, i came in to a long line and as soon as i selected my items there was no one in line(wow!). I like their deals and they have a wide variety of items. SInce there’s no real stores in the area this is perfect for all our craft, emergency stop, and snack needs.

Family Dollar is such a great deal. I come here and buy water, toilet tissue, soap, laundry detergent, etc. for my business. It’s the exact same stuff at the Kroger next door except for a fraction of the cost. And if I apply a coupon to the already inexpensive merchandise… WAHLA!!! Almost near free. The store itself is maintained fairly clean. The employees are a hit and miss. Sometimes you get some working that are really nice and helpful, while at other times you get someone working that are a pain in your rear. But again, for the price near free… It’s worth it every time.

Don’t come today… it’s a hot mess in here. Ventured by Family Dollar on my lunch break to grab two things: envelopes & a Father’s Day card. As soon as I entered the store I saw a display case turned over and a huge puddle of water/mess…and none of the employees seemed to care that it was blocking the back half of the store. Okay, cool… whatever. I venture over to where(I think) the envelopes would be and I walk into another mess. But this mess was different. It was a trail of sticky stuff… and instead of cleaning it up, the employees decided to drape paper towels over the trail… mind you the trail spanned across about 5 aisles. Yeah, it looked ridiculous… and paper towels got stuck to my shoes. Grrr. I finally found the envelopes and decided to make a b-line to get out of there before something else tipped over or fell from above. I was so fed-up/distracted by the mess, I forgot to get a Father’s Day card :-(

So… what do you want to know about Family Dollar? Well, it’s a «dollar» store. So you can buy cheap crap that will probably break sometime in the near future. HOWEVER, I do come here occasionally for random stuff(i.e. dish rags, sponges, comet cleaner, etc) The service, the items, the cleanliness… are all pretty much what you’d expect. Definitely not better at least. I recommend the Kroger next door to this Family Dollar. Go there.
