I’ve been here twice. Both times by chance. Both times I was glad. I will probably try to come here on purpose next time. ;)

We wanted authentic Mexican fare and we got it! You know you’re in the right place when the restaurant is surrounded by Quinceañera stores. We got the 3 taco combo plate, I got lengua, barbacoa, and carnitas. My hubs got pollo en salsa roja, carne asada, and nopalitos. They were really tasty tacos! Especially the lengua, you can always tell a place has good Mexican if they cook a good lengua. And the price was phenomenal! The service was polite, quick, and friendly! Don’t be put off by the dingy façade or the fact that it’s in a strip mall. This place is worth a visit, you won’t regret it.

This is a cute little restaurant near the Bishop’s Art District. The waitstaff was very friendly. The prices were very cheap. I got a combo plate with chicken tostada, cheese enchilada, beef fajita taco, rice & beans for only $ 6.75. The chicken on the tostada was cooked to perfection and was juicy and flavorful. I’m honestly normally not a fan of cheese enchiladas, but theirs was pretty good. It did not have onions and had a much better quality cheese than most places. The fajita taco was a bit lacking on seasoning & spices, but was fine once I added salsa. Their red salsa was delicious, but I did not care for the green sauce. It had a hint of sweetness to it, which was awkward. My husband loved the green sauce though. Overall, this place was a comfortable, friendly place, with good food and excellent prices.

If you want something more authentic this is a good place to visit. They also have traditional Tex Mex dishes. There’s a lot of variety on the menu. The salsa is good and the menu is all decently priced.

Anyone who has read my reviews on Mexican food will know that I am not a Tex-Mex fan. El Rincon Tapatio is not a Tex Mex place that’s for sure. This is authentic Mexican food at it’s best. I went here with a whole group of people most of whom had eaten here before. All the food that came to our table looked delicious. I had a dish with large pieces of thin steak attached to the bones served over a variety of onions, peppers and what appeared to be sauteed cactus. I could not get over how delicious this Mexican food was and I’ve been craving it ever since. There was a huge amount of food, I took home half and ate the rest for breakfast the next day, and the prices were very reasonable, or maybe I should say cheap, the group I went with were mostly college students from CFNI and they always look for cheap affordable food.

It’s a hole in the wall place. Not good hot sauce it horrible even the tortillas chips aren’t fresh tasting. I rather cook my own home-made Mexican food. Service is bad, restrooms are disgusting. I ate the mixto seafood soup was alright I’ve had better.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it’s always been the same quality service at the same low price. They have arguable the best tortas in town and their freshly squeezed orange juice is served in massive glass cups that add to the uniqueness of the place. The only downside is the lack of parking.

I love this place. This is another one of my comfort food fall-backs. I can’t get over how it’s a full service restaurant with waiters and such and yet I can get enchiladas for $ 5.00 all day every day. Their cheese enchiladas are my favorite because not only are they filled with cheesy goodness but there is also a good portion of the liquid gold ladled on top. My boyfriend is the true fan of Rincon, he favors the Tablitas and raves about the Lengua tacos. The waiters are very friendly and the crowd is very laid back. I would even say it’s a great place to take the kids, especially if your low on funds. You might be able to feed a pack of 4 people for under $ 20 bucks. Take that McDonalds!

This really is an authentic Mexican food restaurant. It hasn’t reached much fame among the yuppies of OC yet, but I think it will. It definitely has tremendous fame among the Hispanic locals, which is always a good sign that they’re serving authentic Mexican food. The portions are excessive and the price is really cheap — a great combination.

One of our friends from Mexico told us Tapatio was the best place in Dallas for authentic Mexican food. She did not lie. This joint serves amazing and delicious food. We ordered a plate of tongue and brisket after doing the walk for the AHA. The tongue was so soft and moist. Wrapping everything up in a tortilla was mind blowing. The salsa had chunks of jalapenos, but it didn’t give any burning sensations. When the brisket came it, it was basically two giant pieces of tender meat sitting on some vegetables. We had leftovers for 2 more meals that week. All the food was only $ 16 dollars. It can’t get any better then this.

I’ve been wit my wife to this place twice and both times we leave very satisfied. We’ve had the coctel d camaron, filete de pescado asado, torts d milanesa, and takitos al pastor, pierna, asada, and barbacoa. We’ve loved everithin so far. The takitos r awesome. The filete came with rice and fries which my wife wasn’t too excited about. Also, the tortillas that comes with the plates r store bought, would be nice if the were home made. Other than that, everything is great. the chips and salsa r good to us. I love varieties of salsas and always look for them on restaurants and both times I have liked their salsas. Great flavor with enough spice to compliment the food. The service is always great. Both times the manager has come to our table and asked if we need anything. The price for the food is unbeatable. We both speak Spanish and I don’t know if that makes it easier to get the best out of the place or not but its definitely a great authentic Mexican food restaurant. The parkin is bad but all businesses on the street share the same luck. We will come back and do recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. This place has some of the best authentic Mexican food! The customer service isn’t all that great though. Oh and did I mention that the food comes out fast! :)

I had been going here since I was a kid and hadn’t been here in a long time. We were actually going to go try out some new place but couldn’t get to it because they were having some sort of festival that was blocking the place. I saw Rincon Tapatio and suggested it to my hubby. We went in and I knew what I wanted. I had always ordered the Fajita Quesadilla and thought it was great. My husband decided to order the Bisteck Norteno. Holy Moly! My food was great. I love how they use real Mexican cheese. Not that yellow cheese or mozzarella cheese that some places have used(sad but I’ve had them). There was so much food and for the price it was a great deal! My hubby’s bisteck was divine. It was soft and juicy and it was served on a bed of grilled peppers, onions, and nopales, which were the best grilled nopales I had ever tasted! I will be getting that next time for sure! My hubby said we had found a new spot! Two compIaints though. The chips weren’t all that great. They were a little stale but the hot salsa did make up for it. Second, the parking. It’s on Jefferson(downtown Oakcliff) and the parking is horrible especially on the weekends. You also have to be careful when you’re backing out that you don’t get hit by oncoming traffic. I can’t believe I had forgotten about this place. We will definitely be back!

I went here after a night out right before they closed up shop and the food was decent. I have had better but the food was good, the prices are cheap and the hot sauce(chile) is HOT! The agua fresca lemonada was pretty good too. You can tell its not some crappy mix so order some of it. Overall a good experience and the staff was nice and friendly. I would go again…
