I am definitely not coming back here again. $ 70 extra to pop a pimple(without using any steroid injections or any other type of pimple disappear-er)? NOTHANKYOU. I called last minute and said I needed to see a dermatologist because I had a pimple that I wanted GONE before this weekend. I made sure to make that very clear to the receptionist, and even asked her if it would be extra. She said she didn’t know. So then I get to the office, wait 30 minutes to even be let into the room, and the nurse does the usual pre-screening stuff. I go over my skin conditions and then I say I want this pimple gone. Dr. Adler wanted to prescribe oral antibiotics but I said no, absolutely not, I’m allergic.(If he had read my chart he would’ve known that). He then prescribed some topical creams and wanted to get on his merry way(even though he only saw me for maybe 7 minutes), but I said I want my pimple popped. As in, I want it GONE by this weekend because I have an event. Both the nurse and the doctor kind of gave a huff and said«ugh alright.» Dr. Adler left, and the nurse was left to pop my pimple. I have been to a previous dermatologist where she just popped my pimple without my even asking, and it turned out to be the best thing ever because it was gone the next day! That’s pretty much what I wanted. She had injected something in there and cleaned it up really well. Miraculously it was gone when I woke up. In this case, the nurse literally just popped the pimple, didn’t put anything special on it or inject steroids, and I was expected to pay $ 70 «towards my deductible for a procedure» on my insurance. Um WHAT? That was not a procedure. That was a nurse popping my pimple. I could’ve popped my own damn pimple. It’s easy, I have a tool for it and alcohol swabs, but I wanted it done by a professional because it was important for me to have this gone by the weekend. Dr. Adler didn’t even have the decency to do it himself. Not a good experience and would not recommend them to anyone. Ask how much it will be before you get any«procedures» done. Such a waste of money. By the way, I have been to many dermatologists’ offices(6 to be exact), and this is the 2nd worst I’ve been to.

I saw Dr. Adler over the course of two years and could not be happier with my experience. My acne was cured and scars were diminished with facial peels. Great staff and amazing medical results. I’ve been to over ten dermatologists over my lifetime and he had a unique treatment that worked for me. For the personal complaining about parking; you should review a building employee when reviewing a doctors office. The doctor did not employ the valet.

I learned of PCD through a friend of mine, who learned about it from another friend. Dealing with bad skin my entire life, I am picky about dermatologists, and this one has been pretty good(after trying one other in the Dallas area, which I never went back to). There are two doctors there, I see Dr Adler. He’s genuinely nice and cares about your situation and any side effects you’re having, and he didn’t try to sell me expensive or new or needless treatments. Instead, I told him what I wanted done and he agreed it was the best option. The staff there is a little on the cold, no-nonsense side, but hey, they keep the place running like a tight ship, and I’m always called in on time. Yes, I sit in the room maybe 10 minutes before I actually see the doctor, but not like 45 min. for one dermo I used to see. A tip: Go early in the morning, when parking and traffic is lighter, because it’s off of Preston /Douglas and NW hwy shopping area and you do NOT want to get in the way of cranky moms and bitchy shoppers in the afternoon. They WILL run you over.
