One of my shirts was returned to me with a staple through the shirt. Eco Cleaners was careless when attaching an ID tag through the shirt button hole. Instead of replacing the shirt, they offered a credit. Why would I ever return to a cleaner that damaged my clothes? I asked to speak to the owners but they never followed up with me. David M.: I made two requests of Melissa — 1. Have the owner of Eco Cleaners call me. To date, you have not called me. 2. I also asked for your email address so that I could send photos showing the staples through the yellow tag and my shirt. To date, you have not given me an email address. Explicit in my review is the fact that I won’t be returning to your store if you don’t replace the shirt. Although I might accept your store credit if you let me staple the shirt that you’re wearing. Thank you.

BEWARE! I have been going to Eco Cleaners for over a year. I go back because it is incredibly convenient to my home. For a while, I overlooked the shirt per batch that was ironed incorrectly or where wrinkles were ironed into the shirt(which eventually ruins the shirt) but I started to keep track of it. I also started looking at what I was getting billed. They choose to dry clean what should be laundered(wonder why? It’s 3x the price), they keep collar stays and just put them in a big bucket for others to pick through and they significantly overcharge. Errant sock in the batch? No problem… they’ll throw it away for you! Errant undershirt in the bunch? No problem at all sir… we will dry clean it for you and charge you $ 6.99! So I decided to start pointing this out. Not only did they deny they did anything wrong(dry clean v. Launder(isn’t this my choice anyway?), not replace my collar stays and not re-do poor ironing), when I asked for a simple one time discount(I literally asked for $ 10), they told me they could not do that. I spent over $ 2000 with Eco cleaners in the past 12 – 18 months. They agreed with that figure and thanked me for my business. When I asked them if they were prepared to lose my business over $ 10, they said yes. That told me all I needed to know. They get away with this because of location. That’s it. It’s the only reason they’re in business anymore. My advice is to find another place and refuse to support people who could care less if you’re happy or not. Stay away from Eco Cleaners. I DONOT feel entitled to a credit. Your«services rendered» were very sub-par. Your prices are absolutely NOT competitive(unless you’re comparing yourselves to Avon). And worst of all, you are blind to dissatisfaction of your customers. You are in business because of your location. Not quality, price or service. I know this because you can walk 100 yards to the west and pay less. If someone chooses to frequent your establishment, I would STRONGLY advise them to review every bill meticulously because you will pay for dry cleaning when you should pay for laundry. It’s funny because following my request for a credit and on my final trip to your store… for the first time ever, you just happened to find THREE mistakes on the bill, cross them out and recalculate. Funny how this has never happened before. The comment in your response says everything… that the money I spent in your store was for services rendered, not as a gift I offered you. Actually, sir, your attitude in this regard is exactly why people should beware of you and your store. Where would you be if all you had were services to offer and no one to use your services? Read the response from Eco Cleaners. They’re confirming everything I said above… a bad review from the management of the company itself is all you need to know. And you’re right with the condescension, I can’t afford to pay 50% more than the 4 other dry cleaners within a quarter mile for terrible quality and service. You can’t rip people off just because you’re located in University Park!
