This place was amazing… now ILL have to GO even FURTHER to have Dimassis to the other locations!!! GRR! Thanks a lot to all the people who have no taste and rather eat at Stake and Shake than an awesome place like Dimassis. really thank you so much uncultured jerks.

Very disappointing. I expected much more based on the prime location. Terrible décor, average food. For a MUCH better experience try Ali Baba in Richardson.

WHATHAPPENED!!! My husband and I used to LOVE this place especially at their old location off Preston. Even after they changed locations, it was still good for a while. We went last night and could not believe how disappointing the food was and the restaurant only had a few people during normal dinner hours. Everything looked ok when we got our plates but as we went down the buffet line, we kept wondering why there weren’t as many choices as before. Then we sat down to eat and ALL the food was cold. We also battled flies the entire time. It seemed like they gave up on the restaurant completely, They used to have bread going in the oven during dinner. Now, they don’t even have the stove on anymore. The bread was hard and cold. Everything wasn’t as clean as it used to be either. Their soup was extremely watery but it used to be much thicker with more flavour. Ah, it was so sad. The dessert was ok and I ate some of the rice. I can’t believe I paid for a buffet when I ate so little. It was like being robbed. The few people in the restaurant also looked very disappointed. Get it together, or we’re not coming back.

I just stumbled onto this place today while out for a Sunday morning motorcycle ride. I decided to stop in for lunch(Sunday). I think this is the old Steak and Ale building in Addison on Belt Line. The place is huge on the inside with a giant buffet line. The restaurant was empty except for me and one other guy at 11:30 in the morning. What the restaurant lacks in personality, it makes up for in food selection and value. That is a polite way of saying it is pretty boring on the inside, sort of like a Golden Corral. The buffet has your standard Med fare, Hummus, Tabouleh, Babbaganoush, Yoghurt, Falafel, Dolma, etc. All of the salad items I tried were fresh and very good. The pita bread was also good and there is a brick oven where it appears they make the breads fresh throughout the day. The hot dishes were even more varied than the salads. Nothing was a particular standout, but everything was«buffet good». A pan full of lamb shanks looked inviting, but unfortunately, the shanks were tepid at best. They need a better way to keep their hot plates hotter. IMHO, the salads and the bread are the standouts here. It is well worth a return visiit and may become a regular for me.

I love Mediterranean food and I finally had a chance to try out this place. It’s a pretty big restaurant, I thought we might have trouble getting a seat during the lunch hour but there was no problem. They have a pretty decent sized buffet, dizzying number of different variation of chicken dishes, some were quite good. Very few meat dishes though, I can only remember steak kabob and brisket which were OK but bland. The hummus and what seemed to be tatziki was not very special but OK. As far as Mediterranean buffet goes, looks like Ali Baba in Irving is still king of the hill.

I was really, really disappointed in my first visit to Dimassi in Addison. Was hoping the atmosphere there would be more than what they offered. The food was just OK, but the atmosphere just did not make eating there very appealing. Price was Moderate but still, for that price I would have rather there been less a school cafeteria feeling. Maybe they should close and remodel and try again.

Went to Dimassi’s for lunch this week with my family. You basically seat yourself and there is a self-serve beverage station and obviously the buffet. The plates are relatively large which will allow you to try all that Dimassi’s has to offer. Each dish is labelled with what it is and some of the ingredients to help you decide if its something you’d like to try. I had two of the rice dishes and they were ok. The pizza was ok. The bread that looked like pizza with green stuff on it was … ok but I have no idea what it was. The meat ball stuff was good. The steak kabob was decent for a buffet and the chicken fajita was good though there wasn’t really a tortilla type bread to go with it. The green beans were like you’d expect green beans to taste with a hint of spice and the potatoes were good but a little salty. Some of the dishes looked and tasted like an indian dish without spice. I like spicy food so that was a bit of a disappointment. All and all I would eat there again if someone wanted to go there but I don’t have any strong urges to go back.

this used to be the old Steak n’ Ale place next to the Bennigans now Twin Peaks. upon entering we were quickly greeted by the manager looking guy who’s friendly and told us to sit anywhere and help ourselves. Everything on the buffet is pretty good – although I might avoid the fish and the fries and pizza? =/… didn’t look right on this kind of buffet and it didn’t tasted good as I tried a piece of fried fish The great thing about Dimassi’s is the bread. It has a brick oven manned by an employee that cranks out puffy hollow pita bread and this other kind of bread with multiple dark spices & sesame on top cut into small pizza shaped slices which was awesome!!! Baklava was decent… but I’ve had better everything we had was great… their hummus was good… but I wish some of the chicken dishes were a bit hotter(it was warm and a bit dried up and taugh creamy chicken w/pasta) but besides that everything else was good … and what’s up with NOLAMB meat??? =(that was dissapointing but nevertheless at $ 10 lunch drink included… it is a hard to beat with it’s selections
