DFW Home Inspections

He inspected two homes for me. First one I didn’t purchase because it had big issues. Second home I’m living in now and it seems he missed a lot of small and big issues. At the end of inspection he didn’t notice two roof leaks which I pointed out the damage to the ceiling. Now I’m realizing there was mold and termite damage in the attic, bucket of water … he didn’t point out any of these. I don’t feel he does a thorough job and his prices are steep compared to others.

Great inspector, very reasonable and knowledgeable. He was on time, polite, thorough and yes, although there are some minor items he can mention but not put in a report those are logical. The items that matter were in our report and we were very satisfied.

We chose Jeff as our home inspector due to having a short option period and he was able to come out on short notice. I would say he did a decent job on the inspection but i felt we were overcharged. The house was very small and he charged $ 450 plus lead us to believe the termite inspection was included when in fact it was an additional $ 100. He discovered several issues with the house that we were grateful for. However he did a very poor job typing up the inspection report. The inspection report is very important because it helps with negotiating with the seller to fix things. Jeff mentioned a lot of things to me verbally about the house that were important issues but he did not include them in the report. He was also very argumentative when i asked him to include items in the report he had talked to me about. I understand he has to protect himself from liability but the issues i wanted him to discuss in the report were very straightforward. Overall i would say he did an «Okay» job but i would not recommend him to anyone. We felt ripped off and will choose a different inspector who is a little more professional next time.

There prices were very competitive, but when I had to cancel my appointment due to a rep stating that the company didn’t do VA inspection the owner called me back and was very rude, questioning why I canceled. When money was on the table, they were very nice. Isn’t that funny how that occurs? Not a guinuine owner.

Jeff Hanna provides detailed home inspections. Our real estate agent recommended him to us, and we were happy with his services.
He’s very thorough and provides a report with pictures to support his notes. He will provide you with a report on-​site or email it to you.
In addition, if you’re busy, he has a Suprakey, so he can get into houses with those electronic lockboxes. Or, if you want to be there, that’s fine too, just allow him to stick to his schedule.
