Sort of hidden on the back of a plaza behind a consignment store and furniture store we found Cuban Delights. I would consider the name to be truth in advertising as to has the usual elements that you would expect from a Cuban Restaurant worth it’s salt. Everything we tried from yucca frita, maduros(fried plantain to Cuban Sandwiches and Tres Leches Cake all had a rustic home made flair about them. Particular stand outs for me as the delicious roasted pork in the sandwich and the Guava Pastelitos for dessert. The very touted Tres Leches Cake, we found the cake to be a bit dry, but still had a good flavor. Perhaps not quite up to the level of Tampa or Miami or possibly even Buford Highway, it still a good place for a Cuban fix in Paulding county.

My family is puertorican and I rarely get to eat grandma’s cooking since she doesn’t live in Georgia, so I went to Cuban Delights(cuban food is a little similar to puertorican) and got several items to take home and share. While waiting, a family received their food at their table and it looked and smelled wonderful. Once I tried mine… The flan was EXCELLENT. The fried plantains(called platanos in PR) were perfect. The sandwich I got was unique and yummy(can’t remember the name but I think it was named after a lady, Edna maybe? It was turkey with strawberry jelly and a cream cheese like substance). I wasn’t as crazy about the coconut rice as I thought I might be, because it’s apparently a popular favorite there. I’m going back this week to get arroz con pollo.

Food is flavorful and delicious! For being located in the middle of nowhere(basically lol), I feel like it’s a hidden gem that only a few have yet to discover. The interior is fairly small but the atmosphere is typically Cuban ;) Why only 4 stars: The place was empty but takeout orders were continously being picked up. Ordered the Cuban sandwich and one relleno de papa as an appetizer. After about 20 mins, my appetizer came out half burnt. Ohk, I can deal because the parts that weren’t were pretty tasty. Another 25 mins later I FINALLY got my sandwich! Sooooo delish but I mean SERIOUSLY?! I waited 45 mins for a grilled ham sandwich!!! Now, I understand why everyone orders TO-GO!

Delicious!!! My husband and I both had the Cuban sandwich. He had the regular(6″) and I had the mini(3″). It was so good! Better than any I’ve ever had. We also got the yellow rice w/tomato gravy, black beans, ham croquet a and my fave was something that I can’t remember what it’s called but it was a big fried potato ball. It was fabulous!!! We will definitely be back because there were SEVERAL things on the menu that sounded great. The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful and we can’t wait to return!

Not impressed! Go to poppi’s in Kennesaw. Went once have not been back. Expensive for what we ordered!

This place is ok. I wish they would make more things to order and not pre made & reheated from the freezer. The last time I was there my good was freezer burnt, it tasted awful. I have had good Cuban food and this isn’t it.

This place is amazing! Sam is the nicest guy, and his food is top notch. The price is good and for the portions the can’t be beaten. Give his fresh juices a try and he has a good selection of Spanish sodas that are great as well.

The Cuban Reuben was good but they really skimped on the meat and the kraut. Loved the bread and the pappas rellano thing. Nice guy owner had his kids were running around, kind of annoying. Had some pastry dessert with guava and cream cheese although I did not taste the cream cheese and it was a little dry but otherwise good.

I just brought my kid there for lunch. The fried pork was amazingggggg! Black beans were perfectly cooked and the ham croquettes were good too. This will be our go to for Cuban in Paulding county!

Very authentic. Nice family run atmosphere, the way it should be. We had the Cuban sandwich lunch special and the recommended chicken and rice. Watching the World Cup soccer game really brought it home. The table next to is had the fried pork chunks and it looked delicious. Next time I’m going for the pork… Black beans had the balanced mojo flavor. I recognize the true Cuban menu from my Miami trips. Recommend more descriptive menu for the first time/new customers.

I’m from Tampa originally and I have been missing Cuban food in Wisconsin. This place was just what I have been craving! The yellow rice with tomato gravy and black beans were perfect. The beef pino in the empenadas was wonderful as well. And the owners were so friendly and attentive! I would definitely return

The coconut rice was the best I have ever had. I will go back again just for the rice. The owner was very kind, but the restaurant was very hot inside.

This was our first time eating here although we have wanted to try it for a while now. We were happily greeted at the door by the owner who is really friendly and helpful. He recommended a few things and we ordered in. The food came out in a timely manner and was pretty good. Our only complaint was it was quite hot in the dinning area even with the AC running. It reminded me of eating in a Caribbean restaurant as such so I suppose I could take that as authenticity. :) I have cooked whole Mojo hog before and what I was served was very close to that so I will say it takes pretty darn good. Unfortunately, I have never been to Cuba so I can’t vouch for the flavor. All-in-all, it was pretty tasty.

Wow! Finally a Cuban Shop in Dallas. This place is just to the right of Tractor Supply and on the backside of the building. A little hard to find but awesome food. I had the Cuban, black beans, coconut rice and a side of plantains. This place is a great find! It is small but the owner really makes you feel like you are sitting in Tampa’s Ybor City eating a great sandwich. I highly recommend the Cuban coffee!!!
