‘Lawd Jesus… If you are looking for a damn good, down home southern soul food that is served in Styrofoam to go containers and not looking for any frills… Get your ace in here.
This is from scratch, no pre made anything… I had the home made, cooked to order fried chicken with black eyed peas and the greens. It came with my choice of corn bread or a roll. I opted for the corn bread.
Sweet baby Jesus!
If you have never had «Hot water cornbread» you need to introduce your taste buds to this culinary treat. Think fried corn bread flapjacks ;)
The chicken was juicy as hell, the peas were on point and the greens were just like Grandmother used to make…
The daily specials are only $ 8 and the weekend specials are $ 9…
They have water and sweet tea… if you do not want sweet tea, you’re gonna have water. They might have had some other drink options, but I did not really pay attention to them.
I will definitely go back and it is in walking distance!!!
