First time trying Cryotherapy and I think I’m ready to go back?! They are located on Preston and Royal upstairs next to Toy Maven. They are a tiny little studio with one cryotherapy machine so definitely make sure you are on time for your appointment! The staff was super friendly and made me feel really welcome and comfortable. They explained the entire process of it and the benefits of cryotherapy and talked to me about what my needs and goals are for my session. Since it was my first time, I was simply just trying it out. From what I understand, the benefits of cryotherapy includes quicker healing of sore muscles, any pain you may have, and quicker healing from any surgeries. It also helps boosts your metabolism, and could treat mild anxiety and stresses of your day. Fun fact: also cures hangovers(note to self)! Some even say they have a really good night’s sleep after cryotherapy. Not to mention, you do burn a bit of calories doing this. Basically, when you’re freezing cold, the blood flows into the core of your body. Once you come out, your body pretty much«resets» and when the blood starts flowing back out of your core, it starts going back out to areas that need more blood flow focus(i.e. headaches, aches and pains, etc). When you arrive, they take your blood pressure to make sure you are okay to step into the chamber. They also provide you with gloves, socks, and a wipe to wipe off any moisture you have on your body(lotions, sweat, etc). Then you put on booties, get into your undies(or naked if you really want to), and step into the chamber. Since it was my first time, they set the temperature to –160 degrees at 2.5 minutes. I really liked how the staff was in there with me(only my head was sticking out). They talked to me and asked me random questions for the duration of my session as a distraction, because it was SO. EFFING. COLD. But before I knew it, my time was up and the torture was over :) How did I feel afterwards? Well, I had my appointment after work so I was pretty stressed out, but after my treatment, I felt completely happy, almost giddy(I’m guessing from the rush of endorphins) and energized. So the«treatment» of stress and anxiety really does work! I usually sleep pretty well, so I’m not sure if the treatment gave me a better night’s rest. Is it weird that I’m kind of looking forward to going back? Cuz I am going to!!!

CryoZone is the very best in Dallas. I have been to other places for cryotherapy and CryoZone has outstanding personnel and equipment. Kelly, Dale and Hunter will take great care of you. I have had 15 sessions and I LOVE it. Plus they are open on Sundays when others are closed! I love the flexibility of their online appointment scheduling.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first visited Cryozone, but thank goodness Kelly was very helpful and discussed the entire process with me upon checking in and made me feel very comfortable. After checking in, I was shown the room with the cryotherapy sauna and explained how it works, what the therapy would feel like, and what I could expect to feel afterwards. True to other reviews, it’s an intense full-body ice bath. But having Kelly talk with me through the treatment really helped the time go by quickly! I’ve had a few sessions, and they’ve really helped my muscle recovery. I plan on visiting the Cryozone more often as I train for my first Ironman.

Absolutely adore CryoZone! Located in a super convenient location right on Preston and Royal, CryoZone offers recovery unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. The staff is professional, aware of your needs and goals and are sure walk you through the entire process. Don’t get me wrong, it gets COLD but the way your body feels after less than 2 minutes in there is truly a miracle! CryoZone is an addiction I don’t want to change!
