Company Café is a personal favorite! I have Celiac and often can’t eat out and whatever is available is a combination of expensive and tasteless(a rather disagreeable combo). This is not the case here! The chicken fried stake is hands down the best I’ve ever had and the french toast bites are to die for. Everything I’ve tried has been really yummmy. It has been really busy lately and sometimes that atmosphere lacks a peaceful quality. Also, the servers vary and that highly affects the experience. Some are very friendly and prompt with refills and detail to order. Other times, I’ve had my glass remain empty for a good while and my server did not mention gluten free on the bread so the whole order had to be re-made and we did not eat for almost an hour. Overall though, the food is delicious and the enviroment is quirky and fun. I highly recommend it!

After calling around to a variety of venues in the area, I decided to host my party at Company Café, and I would recommend that you do the same! The restaurant is currently closed in the evenings, and it is a great venue for any variety of gathering. My main point of contact, Jeff, was responsive, open, and easy to work with. His crew on site that night was equally as great. I selected a few appetizers from the menu, the taco bar for dinner, and a tres leches cake for dessert. They also created a couple of signature cocktails representing the two themes of the party. Jeff and his crew were on top of everything, and it was very well executed. My guests commented that the buffet was always kept well-stocked(and delicious) and that their plates were cleared quickly and efficiently once they were done. After we sang happy birthday, I could hardly blink before they had started to beautifully cut the cake and had plates and forks right there by the table ready to go. All of the food was delicious, but I have received particular compliments on the guacamole, brisket, and cake. Hosting a party can be nerve-racking, but the solid crew, great space, and delicious food at Company Café made it easy and a blast!

This place was a light house in a storm, a beacon of hope, a bit of rope extended while sinking in the pits of hell that is Dallas on a weekday morning when NODECENTBARSAREOPEN except this friendly, fantastic, lake in the desert. Open at 8 am and serving good beer with a smile, worth 5 stars every time.

Food and service were both good. Some really unique and good options to choose from and the interior has a industrial kind of rustic/hipster touch. A little pricey for what you receive but doesn’t prevent me from going back.

Had breakfast here yesterday morning and it was amazing! GF French toast bites and GF biscuits in gravy — literally in food allergy heaven! Anyone who suffers from food allergies knows that terrifying waiting time right after you eat at a new place, but I felt absolutely great and went on to enjoy the rest of my day. Our server was busy but efficient, the atmosphere was nice and overall clean and pleasant. I highly recommend! Thank you so much for living up to your gluten-free menu!

My husband and I were so excited to try Company Café but had a bad experience. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were told that the wait would be about 25 minutes, but we waited for nearly an hour. We ended up snagging a seat at the bar, where the bartender was disorganized and slow to take our order. My husband also had a hair in his food(!). Despite the frustrating wait, the French toast bites were a redeeming quality!

Came in and sat at the bar. I was immediately helped. Bartender was friendly and my Oder came out quick. I had the chicken fried steak this time around with eggs and loved it. The burger is always a good option. I hadn’t been here in awhile and forgot how good it was.

I hardly write reviews anymore but this is definitely an exception! A friend of mine recommended this place and took me here for lunch after our marketing meeting. She has various dietary needs and therefore she advised this café met all her exceptions time and time again and naturally, I was intrigued and excited to try the food here. The café has a ‘hipster’ vibe to it with industrial type furniture and the walls have fresh coats of paint to open up the space more. Upon entering, the staff were very accomodating and greeted us at first instance. My friend ordered their gluten-free biscuit, omelette and sweet potato fries. I ordered their grass-fed chill with tortilla chips as I was only peckish. To cleanse our palettes we ordered a carafe of ‘Pimosas’ which is essentially a Mimosa but made with Pomegranate juice. One word to describe this drink. Satisfying. The grass-fed chili with tortilla chips was delicious and their gluten-free biscuit was fluffy! The sweet potato fries were heaven. Crunchy and moreish. Im wanting some right now as I type this. I was impressed with its reasonable pricing too. If you’re reading this, please order the sweet potato fries, you’ll thank me later.

Great place with a down to earth staff and decent food. A very fun spot to sit outside on sunny day and enjoy the crowd marching by.

If you’re looking for breaded, fatty, delicious foods that you’d normally never associate with gluten free dining, this is the place to go! From pancakes to fried chicken with gravy, you would never guess it is gluten free. The downside: service can be sub-par and they’ve gotten my order wrong on more than one occasion.

I really want to like Company Café and I think on some days it does deserve 4⁄5. However, as a whole out of the 5 or so times I’ve been here I am always left thinking: «If only(insert service/food complaint here) I’d be super happy». The great thing about this place is that it’s a great option for those looking for gluten free food. My mom is GF and every time she’s in town she asks to come here for their French toast bites. They are really really good! We always come for breakfast and I’m never thrilled. I keep trying new things on the menu hoping to find«the one». It hasn’t happened yet. This last time I ordered the Migas which were drenched in a ketchup-like salsa … it also came with a side of salsa and said it had black beans but I only found a few underneath the red super soggy tortillas. My boyfriend enjoyed his venison breakfast tacos, but was annoyed when he ordered«shoestring» fries and got plain ol fries. Mom was really happy with her gf toast and eggs, tomato, and avocado. Service was nothing special. All in all… I’ll be back because it’s an easy place for a GF person to eat and my mom loves it. I’m just really unimpressed.

I’ve had multiple good experiences here, with both food and staff. Two quick examples: — I once went for brunch in a group of 6 people on Sunday late morning. They were slammed. People everywhere waiting, bar full, kids screaming, etc. Our server was so attentive when he really had an excuse to be the absolute opposite. This sounds ridiculous, but since we all ordered an Arnold Palmer he offered to make them to order for each of us and actually nailed it(I like mine very lemonade heavy, others asked for and received the opposite). When you are busy as f$&# and you take the time to ask me the ratio of lemonade to iced tea in my drink, you’re just a rad dude. — I went tonight and there was nobody in there. We were starving after going to another restaurant and walking out after 20 minutes of no service. We again received pretty awesome attention, including our server explaining different types of kombucha to my mother and giving me the low down on what was new to the tap list. Her salmon was perfect, I gambled on the chicken fried steak and really liked it. I’ve been to both this location and the former location on the Katy Trail, and each time have left feeling great about the experience. They know their menu well enough to make thoughtful suggestions, and I’ve never felt rushed by the servers, only by the line out the door waiting for my spot. It is definitely a favorite in Dallas.

What a gem of a place! I wish there were more restaurants like this. I love the fact that you can get scrambled eggs anytime of day, in many different menu items. My mom and I went here for lunch. She had the egg scramble with Buffalo, spinach, scrambled eggs, onions, mushrooms, guacamole, and salsa. She loved it. I had the scrambled eggs and chicken fried steak. Mine was delicious as well. They have a special jalepeno jam mixed into this recipe, which gives it a slightly sweet taste. Very unique. Everything on their menu is gluten-free except the toast, pancakes and biscuits, but you can get gluten free versions of those as well. All of their beef is grass fed. They even make their own Kombucha! I had to the pineapple super greens. We will be back for sure. I bought some mini cakes for my son and husband. If I lived near here I would probably use them for some holiday dishes.

Company café is great for any meal of the day. It’s always busy when I’m here. I often come for a boozy brunch with friends. My favorites are«the samich» and Johnny Rooster, but I wish they would go back to the jalapeño bacon pancakes and not this plain pancake and marmalade(not as good in my opinion). Great gluten free options and accommodations if you are gluten intolerant or celiac.

Really great food, friendly service and a cool atmosphere. I had the breakfast tacos with venison sausage which was delicious. Who knew! I also like that they have a fast, free internet connection and outdoor seating.

I was in Dallas for visiting some friends and we were in the mood for a good brunch spot. Company Café had good reviews on Unilocal so we decided to see so for ourselves. We were sat outside and promptly asked what we would’ve liked to drink. Since coffee is a morning requirement for me, I ordered just a plain coffee. My two friends ordered Bloody Mary’s and my oh my, did they look appealing. The coffee was self-serve for their guests(which was nice since I did not need to wait for the waiter to come back every 15 minutes to refill my coffee). I ordered the Veggie Rx Scramble.(I thought it extremely fitting since I am a vegetarian and soon-to-be pharmacist). The portion was extremely huge. The scramble was filled with cauliflower, black beans, spinach, mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper. It was a good scramble but not the«best». It was very rich/greasy and I felt a bit over-stuffed after my meal. The reason I would be giving this place 3⁄5 stars is because our waiter went to lunch in the middle of our order and no one replaced him and we probably waited for a solid 45 min– 1 hour after siting down and ordering our food. We knew that something was fishy when people who were seated 15 – 20 minutes after us were done with their meal before we even received ours. I’ve worked in customer service and I understand that miscommunications happen, so I don’t think my experience there is an indication of Company Café’s service. Overall, my meal was«okay» but not as great as I would’ve expected. The restaurant has been designed beautifully which is what would entice me to go back during my next Dallas trip. Next time I may just go for drinks or I would try another item on the menu.

Compared to prior visits, today was not up to par. Seated immediately, our waitress greeted us in a reasonable time. Drinks, etc. .everything was fine. We expected to wait a little while for our food which was fine, 30 minutes elapsed & the waitress informed us that the food would be out shortly, another 15 minutes and our food arrived. It was cooked properly, however, it just did not taste as good as it has in the past. Perhaps they have changed the recipe for the chicken and pancakes, but my guests, who’ve all eaten here before, agreed it did not taste the same. We’ll be back, just hope this was an off day.

Would highly recommend this place! Stumbled upon it because everything on Greenville was so FRACKING packed. It’s very hipster and has a great beer selection, with awesome daily drink deals. Monday is trivia, so if you are looking for low key, go tues-thurs. For an appetizer, we got the loaded sweet potato fries, they were delicious(and filling) — but get them without chili. I got the chicken samy– essentially a giant fried chicken sandwich. Wayyyy too much for me to eat in one sitting so I took about half of it home. They have a ton of awesome options for breakfast, and my boyfriend even got one of the egg bowls — the yard! We can’t wait to come back for breakfast! The only reason it loses a star is because it was unsuspectingly expensive… they charge $ 2 for ANY add-ons…so we ended up spending more than we had initially bargained for. But we learned the place a little, and now know how to get the most for our money and enjoy an awesome hole in the wall place!

Great if your a health nut. Parking is always tricky on Greenville. So take care to spend some time searching for parking. Food is healthy and well priced. Good selection of desserts!

I really like the whole concept of this place. They serve gluten free everything and all their meats are grass fed. For all those serious dieters out there, it’s very easy to get a paleo friendly meal here with multiple varieties. I ordered the Deep Bowl which consists of a bacon sweet potato hash, avocado, 2 eggs, and grass fed beef. It was a good breakfast meal and i was able to bring some leftovers home. My sister got the tenderloin but it was pretty dry and hard to cut into. So don’t get that next time. I will be giving this place another chance next time I am around. It’s a good healthy meal for a reasonable price.

I am so sad to write this review because I truly believe in supporting local spots. But, Company Café just isn’t cut out for it’s busy and re-budding lowest Greenville home. My family and I came here on a whim during the week and it was just fine. But fast forward 6 months later, the same group of us returned on a Saturday and sadly, it may be the last time. For a weekend night, the place wasn’t crazy. We waited for a few minutes at the bar and just as our last couple walked through the door, we were ready to be seated. From the time we sat down, two whole hours ticked by before we got our food. It was so incredibly disappointing. And what was worse was the fact that there were two servers holding down the entire place. It wasn’t their fault — they kept apologizing for the kitchen and giving us updates as they could. I hope Company Café can get it together soon or I’m afraid another local spot may be joining to Greenville Ave strip.

I want to hate you so much Company Café!!! The risotto here is dry and disgusting. Service is usually slow and inattentive. The side of sweet potato hash is laced with suspicious lemon juice. The last time I came here, my order for migas wasn’t even placed. While I waited in despair for them with an empty glass of water, my eyes became teary and I started conjuring up spells in my mind to wreak havoc upon the managers of this establishment. Then, after the migas ordeal was sorted out, the waiter offered us a free cake of our choice. Well, that was nice, but my soul is still hurting from your misdeeds! Their tres leches cake arrived, short yet round and topped with a circle of dusted frosting. I was only going to take a bite of it. Just one. One was all I needed. One was able to take all of my sorrows away and banish the hatred that was growing inside of me. Every single bite was a spoonful of splashing sweetness. The cake was soft and milky, like tres leches should be. BUT, it was as if they whipped up a cake like version of tiramisu and turned it into a tres leches cake. Tiramisu and tres leches had a gluten free baby and I ate it! Now I am the happiest person in the world! FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
