Unexpected superb display of air power history. We were not able to see all in one visit, so we returned the next day to finish looking and listening to the numerous displays. The old planes being maintained look better than new. Cudos to the many volunteers and staff.

This has to be the nicest private aircraft /WWII museum outside of the Smithsonian in DC! I don’t know how they funded such a massive complex, but the collection, layout and organization is second to none! Even though the aircraft hangar is probably what attracts most patrons, my favorite aspect was the amazing collection of WWII nose art and historic displays. If you are anywhere near Midland this is a MUST see! If you are a military aircraft or WW2 buff, then the drive is well worth it. I will return with my son… driving the 5 hours from DFW!

Very nice visit. Excellent museum. My only regret was that they didn’t really have any bombers or fighters on display. I believe they were at different air show

If you are interested in planes, the military or history, you need to visit the CAF’s Airpower Museum. We go at least once year and usually make an annual visit to the Airsho. The workers are knowledgeable and helpful. Don’t miss the nose art gallery.
