First let me start by saying, I came to Dallas for my Grandmother’s funeral. My mother booked my boyfriend and I’s hotel stay so that we could be in the area to help out before the rest of the family came. My mother pre-paid for our hotel room for a room in the suites on the third floor. When we signed in, the attendee gave us our room key. Then he changed his mind and switched our room from a suite to a regular room on the second floor. As we entered the newly assigned room on the second floor it smelled of old ethnic spicy food, it was small, and there was a dark ring in the tub of the shower. We called down and asked for a different room. We were told all the other rooms were booked; I inquired about the original room I was supposed to have, room 315, but told it was a smoking room(I went upstairs and it was not — 1st lie). Then we looked on the hotel’s website that indicated there were plenty of available rooms(2nd lie). We then called again asking for a different room, we were given the choice of two other handicap rooms(all equally as dirty and smelly). Because I did not set up the reservation, and we had some in late at night, way later than I wanted to call my mom and inform her of the disgusting situation, we settled on one of the handicap even smaller rooms. We had our room key switched to the new room, at that point a new front desk attendee(another family member) was there and said that the staff who informed up that all of the rooms were full was new. Everyday our key stopped working at check-out time, for they did not set our keys for our three-day stay, and our room wasn’t cleaned once our entire stay. This is the cheapest family owned hotel I have ever stayed in! All of the food an toiletry items are beyond dollar-store cheap and I cannot believe that this family-owned hotel would blatantly lie to our faces on top of facing the struggles of preparing for my grandmother’s funeral. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISDIRTYCHEAP(OVERPRICED) HOTEL! By the way, each night of our stay was charged a different price for some reason yet another family member could not explain. CHEAP, SMELLY, LIARS!

Through Hotwire, paid approx. $ 45 a night. Overall, this is an ok place for short stay(less than 5 days), the main reason is that the place is just a bit small for longer than a few days. The good: — Clean and fairly updated room. — Free hot breakfast — Mon — Thu, free managers’ reception with chips and salsa, there is usually a keg as well. — Fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room — Centralized entry, as in everyone has pass through the lobby to get to the hotels. Adds a level of safety for travelers. The improvements needed: — Rooms are a bit small(~350 sq ft) — 32″ TV — Smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor next to each… really?.. what’s the point? I can smell my neighbors’ smoke walking in the hallway. Like, 4 rooms smoking, then 4 rooms non-smoking, then back to 4-rooms smoking. You get the idea. — Most other extended stays have plates, forks, freezer, etc in the room, not here. — Better managers’ reception with real food.
