First time here, got the french toast breakfast. Food was really good at an Ok price, it was $ 9. Service was a little slow and rushed but it was only one server with about six tables. Overall, very good. They also have a HUGE menu with lots of other good looking breakfast and sandwiches. I’ll be back to try more.

Super crowded on the weekends. But not a bad problem to have. Pastries are hand made and to die for! Wasn’t a fan of the corned beef hash but it was also my first time here so I can’t be too harsh. Nice, sweet staff.

Small restaurant with outdated but clean décor. I would not reccommend going here if your party consists of more than 4. Breakfast was good. Service was fair. I would go again, but only at someone else’s suggestion.

So happy to have come across this restaurant with authentic NY Deli selections, delicious Reubens and Open face Roast beef, matzo ball soup. And even perfect half-hour pickles! Delicious bagels and vegetable cream cheese, Latkes. What a delight.

Went there today for lunch, wanting to try something different than the regular burger and fries It was busy, as expected, but we were seated promptly Our server immediately asked if we knew what we wanted, even though we had barely opened the menus We asked for drinks instead, my wife a root beer, my son a lemonade, and I asked for tea Server asks, what kind, I said sweet In a very condescending tone he says, we don’t serve sweet tea! Ok, fine, no biggie, got the iced tea, I know how to open a sugar packet and stir with a spoon When he got back, he took our order, I told him I was considering two different dishes, he tells me, order the sandwich, the other takes longer Ok, I’m open to suggestions, and the sandwich was very good! Chips that came with it, I’m sure they came out of a bag, and the pickles were limp and bland My wife never got a refill, and he attempted to fill my glass at the end of the meal So, all in all, sandwiches were excellent, maybe a little overpriced at almost $ 50 bucks for 3 sandwiches with prepackaged chips, and a single drink refill, but still good Service, not so much, condescension its not a good appetizer If we go back we are asking for a different server, and trying something else

Arrived for brunch at 11am on a Saturday and the place was packed from the moment we got there until we left 2 hours later! The food was amazing so I suggest waiting. They allowed us to get coffee while we waited. They have so many options and give you so much food. They have a counter that was pretty popular to come in and get food to go as well. Lots of bagel options and lots of deli meats.

Good place if you want a fast, cheap and classic breakfast. Good selection. Huge portions. Opens very early.

I loves this place! I wish it didn’t close at 9! I had chocolate pancakes(bomb) and a side of scrambled eggs. For the value, this place is great! I wish the location wasn’t so dark.

In a word — Yummy! My only problem was what to order. There is something for everyone including specials of the day, deli sandwiches, omelettes, salads, entrees, fresh soups, baked goods, & noshes. Cappuccino bar includes espresso, and other coffee drinks. . Authentic Jewish deli w/a delightful staff. I had the combo platter which included potato latke, meat(corn beef) Knish & stuffed cabbage. You know«When in Rome«. So good, hot, & tasty. The latke was thicker than the ones I had in the past but still delish & I didn’t OD on it like I have when they are thinner. SO(significant other) had the eggs benedict w/Nova Salmon. He enjoyed to the last bite. We had the opportunity to meet lovely Ann, the owner, who has done a incredible job w/all aspects of the deli, while raising 4 beautiful children. Check out the deli case of fresh meats, spreads & cheeses. And there is a beautiful display of fresh sweets & desserts including cheesecakes, pies, chocolate dipped strawberries & eclairs, cookies & pastries. Such a great treat! AND serving breakfast all day! Tip: If you have to wait, don’t worry it’s not too long, well worth it and you can order a coffee drink while you wait. Then read some of the great reviews of Cindi’s posted in the foyer.

Cindis is… Comfy, Old Booths = some might have tears or stains. Quit being a snob. Chicken Salad = Eat by itself or schmear on anything and I mean on anything. Chopped Liver = Clogged arteries, but worth all the fat and deliciousness. Egg Bagels = Extra toasted and be sure to order the fresh cream cheese… if you don’t they will bring you the Philly in a pre-packaged container. Nope. Lox Plate = Salty and makes all your dreams come true. Matzo Ball Soup = Jewish Penicillin. Heals all and everything. Crap. Now i’m hungry.

I grew up in North Dallas and used to love Bagelsteins. This place is about as close as I have found for quality food since Bagelsteins closed. I had a roast beef and Swiss on rye yesterday, I forgot just how good deli fresh is. Love this place, love the food. Only negative is that I have to drive so far to enjoy it, but since I’m supposed to be on a diet that’s probably a good thing.

This past holiday season, I was riding a Porky Pig guilt-trip to the max. For you see, I can go fifty-weeks out of the year being a freakin’ choir boy when it comes to what goes down my throat; but for some reason, the X-mas season conjures up the gluttonous Mr. Hyde side of me.
I’m like the pious minister who suddenly finds himself as the master of ceremonies at your local orgy. Now, on most days, breakfast consists of perhaps a protein drink at my desk at work. Or a small bowl of oatmeal. And, on those really hungry days, a bowl of skim milk and muesli topped with a banana. One morning near X-mas, after a long workout at the gym, I nearly gave my SO a coronary after suggesting that we go out for breakfast. «You want to go out for breakfast?» she said. «That’s like the Pope saying he wants to play a little craps followed by a lounge show in Vegas. I don’t think so.» «Hey, loosen up a bit,» I replied. «It is the holiday season and we’re both on vacation.» She had a look as if she had just been hit by a two-by-four. «Is this one of those break-up breakfasts? Are you about to tell me over a short stack that you’ve become gay and have hooked up with some guy named Mark?» «Take it easy,» I said. «I thought we could try Cindi’s NY Delicatessen. After all, you’ve been needling me to take you to breakfast since we met.» Over the years, Cindi’s has caught my attention on a number of occasions as I’ve driven by on Central Expressway — given that the parking lot has always appeared to be slammed. And, I have always had this weak spot in my knees for NY delis, having worked in the NYC area for a number of years in a past life. On the week-day morning we wandered in, we were lucky to snag the last empty table. As we sat down and studied the menu, my SO saw that I was confused. «I know there’s not much on the menu that fits your diet,» she said, «But they do have dry cereal — I’ll ask if you can get it with non-fat milk.» Just then the waitress walked up and asked for our order. Not waiting for the SO, I blurted out, «I’ll have three eggs with hash browns, buttermilk pancakes, Canadian bacon, with a side of Latkes and some home fries.» I paused. «And don’t forget the orange juice and a pot of coffee.» Fearing an imminent mental breakdown, the SO got nervous, grabbed her cell phone, and started to speed dial my shrink. I’ve got to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast, despite the five-and-a-half pounds that I gained. My Cindi’s breakfast reminded me of some of the breakfasts that I slurped in roadside diners around the country back in the days when I wasn’t such a freak about my diet. However, I’m ashamed to say that my SO was more than a tad embarrassed when, upon finishing, I picked up and licked the syrup off of my plate. Given that the holidays are now over – despite the goodness on the menu – it’s unlikely that I’ll be visiting Cindi’s again soon. And after climbing off the scales shortly after the Christmas season ended and realizing what the Santa season had done to my waistline, next year — around St. Nick time — I’m thinking about having my stomach stapled.

Excellent deli food, great service. We were a group of 10 on a busy Dec 31 morning. Although Cindi’s does not take reservations, we had called before coming in since we were a large party with two elderly people, one in a wheelchair. They kept a table for us, seated us right away and were very gracious. The food and experience were great as always, which is why Cindi’s has been a go-to spot for our family brunches for many years. Great Reuben sandwiches, excellent fish plates, terrific pastrami.

A solid place for a reliably good breakfast. I’ve been here twice. This location is Jewish mother in law recommended and approved. With coffee, served in a pitcher on the table, our meals ran about ten dollars each, all in. Service was prompt, efficient and professional. The kitchen got the orders out quickly, even with a full house on the day after Christmas. This is a good place to either hit it and quit it for a fast sit down breakfast or linger over coffee with family or friends. It’s child friendly. On the other side senior discounts are a separate menu section, well numbered. There is a separate take out counter stocked with flavored bagels in many varieties and baked goods. In summary, the meals on both visits were served quickly, exactly as ordered and a good value.

I visited this restaurant again around noon yesterday. I stayed far away from the roast beef sandwiches, and my sister and I tried breakfast. I had the pancake platter with eggs, bacon, and a side of hashbrown. She had an omelette with grits. This was a great choice!!! It was so delicious! The pancakes and omelette were huge and the price was right! I ordered two pastries to go. They looked so beautiful behind the counter. I couldn’t pass it up this time! I would have given 5 stars but my sister and I had to clean our table and the seat.

AUTHENTICNYDELIINDALLAS — WHAAAT? TRUE! We love Cindi’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Our faves for lunch and dinner: a cup of Matzo ball soup and the Hand-sliced Nova Lox on Jalapeño Bagel. For breakfast, Cindi’s cheese blintzes are the bomb! A perennial Dallas favourite, we come to Cindi’s whenever we feel the need for some real pastrami on fresh NY rye bread, baked fresh daily.

Amazing place to eat. Great variety of New York style Deli in Dallas. We are from Puerto Rico and had travel to New York many many times and this restaurant was packed of people waiting to have a table. That means the place should be very good. And it really deserves the wait. We have the Rueben sandwich, very nice flavor and good quality. And we also had strawberry waffles and they were delicious. Nice cappuccino and the service was really quick and food was serve quickly. Have the chance to meet the owner Anh Vo. Her story make my day. She is a true fighter as business woman I’m super impressed of how you can start a business and be very successful. Her staff is very important. Every one was super nice and service was excellent. Hope to come back some day

This place is a treasure and reminds me of the(quickly vanishing) things that make New York so great. The Ambient lighting, booths upholstered in maroon vinyl, and dark wood paneling are straight out of Scorcese’s Mean Streets. The extensive menu is a mix of all American, Italian, eastern European, and Ashkenazi Jewish… with the oh so NY addition of chocolate phosphate and egg cream drinks. The prices on main dishes are just a few bucks more than you’d pay at say, Denny’s. But it’s so worth it! The sandwiches are piled high with filling, portions are generous, and the quality of ingredients is a cut above. My suggestion: get a potato knish or two. I promise you won’t be dissapointed.

The pancakes. You MUST get the pancakes. I couldn’t get enough of them! So fluffy, cooked perfectly. I got full off of them, couldn’t get enough, forgot all about my Tex-Mex Omelet… but not really. The menu is huge, so prepare yourself. I had to focus on ONLY breakfast so that I wouldn’t get overwhelmed. I heard about the pancakes and the omelets, so that’s what I concentrated on. The waitress, who was really cool, recommended the Tex-Mex, so seeing as though she works there, I got it. It was like a nacho married a huge omelet, three egg omelet at that. I honestly believe that my mom liked it more than me. Chili, sour cream, onions, jalapenos and LOTS of cheese, which I LOVED! I’ve passed this place so many times going to my Grandmother’s house and always wondered how it was, well I’m glad I treated myself and my mom. It really has that city feel to it, like NY, very mom and pop, comfortable. I know next time, I’m for sure going to get a bagel, not sure of what flavor and lox. That’s a must at a NY deli. I know it’s probably really good!
