If you are looking for a foot and ankle specialist, (and I sincerely hope that you aren’t and that you will never need to) look no further. Feet come first here. It’s hard to know who to praise first.
Dr. Cook is fantastic. I can’t say he was my favorite person in the world when he told me to cancel my trip to Rome that was seven weeks post accident, but I have to admit that he was right and I am oh so glad I followed his advice. He was very clear in explaining his diagnosis, in detailing my progress at each follow-​up visit, and outlining my mobility instructions until the next visit.
This is one of those times when you wish you had taken time to ask everyone’s names. The gentle woman who takes the X-​rays is an angel. I wish I knew her name, but follow the faint sound of 70s and 80s pop to the end of the first hallway. She will take care of you.
The guys in the cast room are great too. This was the first cast I’ve ever had and I was pleasantly surprised (or as pleasant as one in a cast can get) that they changed the cast every week or two. Super plus! And there is a whole assortment of fashion colors to choose from. If you ask nicely, they might give you a two-​color cast.
Nurses and admin… absolutely efficient. I’m sure they have heard every broken foot story on the planet, but they are compassionate and caring as they ask how you did it and how it feels, and nod understandingly when you complain about what a pain in the a** crutches are and that knee scooters aren’t nearly as fun as they look.
So of course, check with your insurance first, but if this place is on your plan, I recommend them wholeheartedly for any of your foot and ankle restoration needs.
