I enjoyed the chicken, but I dislike the staff. WARNING — don’t get anything out the soda machine. My girlfriend tried to get a soda and water came out. When she told the chick at the register, she was told that «the machine does that often and they would not offer to get her a soda from the back.» A bunch of BS. I started going to the other location at Illinois…

First let me say I brought a Groupon to this place because the chicken looked really good from the picture and we thought we’d give it a try. We went in to order and I could already tell from the atmosphere what kind of place it was. The young lady at the register had a crass attitude. I wanted to order the 10 piece combo that comes with fries and the pork chop dinner. Well they were out of pork chops, yams, mashed potatoes, and fries. So since they were out of fries I had to pay extra for the rice and gravy. Now my thinking is why would I have to pay extra for something you’re out of. The girl says well that’s just how we do it. So I went with it still trying to support the establishment. Once we got home and tasted the chicken, it was something I could have fried better myself. Needless to say, I will not be a customer here ever again.

Maybe I’m becoming a french fry kind of girl. I’ve never liked french fries very much but these fries definitely stole my heart. A co-​worker brought some chicken and fries to share and everyone loved the chicken. I thought it was good, too. When I got to the fries, I did one of those spin around double takes where you notice no one is watching and so you reach and grab two extra helpings of the shareable fries that are no longer shareable because you just ate them all. Is that just me? There’s some seasoning on the fries that I couldn’t quite identify between licks. They were soggy but for some reason I really liked that and it made me want to smush more into my mouth. Just saying, try the fries!

Driving around the town looking for a place to stop for a lunch my husband and I spotted this place in a small little strip mall.
Since my hubby had a taste for some fried chicken, we decided to stop and give it a shot. Place is tiny with maybe two table. they offer Chicken, Pork chop and Cat fish with side order that you can pick. Greens, Rice and Gravy, Fried Rice, etc. I ordered 2 piece dark with side order of Greens. My husband had a 3 piece with side order of Rice and gravy. Chicken was pretty good. It’s more like 3 and half star instead of 3. flavorful but I wasn’t sure if they wanted batter to be crispy or wet. It was like in between. Which was kind of different. Side dish was OK. had better but not bad. Price was really reasonable, 2 piece was like $ 2.50 and 3 piece was like $ 3 and some change. I think this place have potential.
