I’ve been to the other two Bob’s locations in the DFW metroplex, so I figured I may as well give this location a try too since the other two are so delicious. Of the three Bob’s locations, this one is indeed my favorite. Not only is it the newest one, but it has the most modern look of the three restaurants and it’s more hip being that it’s in a swanky hotel in Downtown. The other locations have never disappointed me with the food, but the food at the Downtown location was out of this world fabulous! The mood is so romantic with the dimly lit lighting. It’s perfect for a date night. Our waiter was really slow throughout the night, but I’ll blame it on how busy they were. The Caesar Salad was very pleasing. The croutons were so buttery and crusty, which was a great accessory to the creamy dressing over the romaine lettuce. For my entrée, I ordered the 9pz filet with the smashed potatoes and of course, the infamous carrot. The filet had the best sear and seasoning ever. It really was a filet to beat. The potatoes were outstanding with its rich flavor. As if that wasn’t all good enough, the glazed carrot was so soft, sweet, and savory all in one. Overall, my meal was to die for! I love Bob’s and their signature meal definitely has me won over as one of my favorite steakhouses in Dallas!

This was an excellent experience all the way around. The service and food were both very good. The décor is like a modern steakhouse. Our server and the manager were both friendly and quite helpful. We did not do any appetizers because we knew we would be plenty of food. I started with a ½ wedge salad. It was tasty. They had a special extra thick bacon that night, so I added a slice to my salad. That made it even better. For my meal I ordered the 12 ounce fillet with the skillet fried potatoes. The steak was very good. It was tender and flavorful. It was seasoned perfectly. The potatoes were also good. The peppercorn gravy that comes on them is quite good. We also ordered two sides for the table to share. The cream corn was great. One of the best I have ever tasted. It was a little sweet even. We also tried the macaroni and cheese. It was rich and flavorful. For dessert we shared the Brownie Sundae. It was a large portion that we shared for the whole table. It was rich and tasty. I was full, but found a way to take down a couple of bites. The food or service on their own are at least four stars. It is rare to experience both at one location. Everyone left quite happy.

Bob’s is overrated. I don’t know what the fuss is about. Steak is decent and that’s all I’ll give it!

Fantastic steakhouse! Great service, lovely atmosphere. The sourdough was delicious. Very good mixed green salad. My husbands steak was delicious as well as my jumbo shrimp scampi. The absolute best part of the meal was the lobster bisque. Simply delicious, big chunks of lobster & the perfect amount of chives on top. Exquisite!

Great hotel steakhouse. Typical dark décor. The hostess was friendly and curteous and the bartender was a really helpful dude Place had that wonderful steakhouse scent that gets you so excited for a great steak(unless you ordered a salad or a fish and then the scent is a bitter reminder of what could be yours yet you chose flounder) Had a 12oz fillet, baked potato as a side — I like the way they pull out cheese, sour cream, bacon and chives and make it to your liking. Nice touch. Steak– hunk of meat, light seasoning(salt/pepper) and not too much salt. Sometimes too much salt kinda burns a bit, the moderate seasoning showed the chefs confidence in what he was doing. Nice wine selection to pair it off with. Just had ice xream for dessert and bartender told me other choices were huge cakes. Would be nice to try. Price is what you expect for a higher level steakhouse but a great option to have of you’re staying in the hotel or nearby. I’d return absolutely

Amazing experience & flavor! Loved this place. We had dinner here last night and I’m already craving it again. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time to avoid a wait. The complementary pickled bell peppers are delish. The complimentary bread and butter are too good… Make sure to tell them to take it away before you fill up on it. My boyfriend and I shared the tomahawk wagyu beef steak on special which was PHENOMENAL. This came with amazing mashed potatoes & a sweet tasty cinnamon flavored carrot. We also ordered chopped salads to start with champagne vinaigrette as the dressing. The food was delicious! We also had a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon which was perfect on our palettes. I was stuffed beyond belief but still caved in for a crème brûlée finish. Perfection. So glad we enjoyed this.

Went to dinner to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday. The waiter asked if it was a special occasion and we told him this, but it was never acknowledged. Food was okay, a bit overpriced, and the service was mediocre. Waitress took a very long time to return to our table and take our drink orders when we asked for a couple of mins to look over the menu. Our reservation was at 9p, we didn’t get our food until close to 10p. Also we asked for our steaks med-well and they were undercooked, way too much pink. Ruth’s Chris is a lot better. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The quality of the food overall was very good, but not excellent like I expected for the caliber of restaurant. It was a party of 9 and my top customer at the table split one of the best steaks with one of his workers. The kitchen cut the steak so that he got mostly the fat. It had to be sent back and created an embarrassing situation. We were really not being overly picky. I also asked for my filet 12oz to be cooked medium+ and it came out rare. I would not return to this restaurant. Go to Nick & Sam’s or Abacus for a much better experience at a similar price point.

Have had dinner her before with pleasant experiences. This time a very loud n obnoxious crowd (they should have gone to sports bar !! Ruined our evening . You would have thought management would Havel Done better than this! This very rude group was using the f word very loudly n talking very rude with explicit words about the pregnant waitress! We were seated next to them n we asked to be moved . By then my stomach was churning, n really Dinner was ruined by then . We still spent close to $ 200 bucks on a undercooked steak dinner with a loud obnoxious Crowd who ruined our dinner at a supposedly Upscale steak house ! We will think twice about having an expensive dinner here again .!

Very nice steak house in a very nice Omni Hotel. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner or even large parties. I had the 14 oz ribeye, side salad, and calamari. I couldn’t find one thing I didn’t like that I ordered. It is on the high end price wise, but that’s to be expected at a steak house. The service was quick and got everything right. If you’re ever in Dallas and want a good steak, I’d definitely suggest this place!

Hellooooooo Dallas! This was my first time in Dallas and I had to try this place out since it was highly rated as a good steak place among Unilocalers. Also, because this steakhouse is conveniently located inside of the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas where I was staying. They had a lovely centerpiece of edible pickled red bell peppers and cucumbers in jar. I normally don’t really like eating pickled cucumbers by itself, but both the picked bell peppers and cucumbers were delicious. I could have probably ate that whole jar! I ordered the Lobster Bisque soup and this was probably one of the two things that I didn’t like all that much. It had this bitter aftertaste to it that was a bit too strong for my taste. I ordered the filet mignon and my friend ordered the Prime«bone-in» Kansas City Strip since they didn’t have the Prime«cote de boeuf» bone-in ribeye. Both were delicious. I liked the filet mignon better because it’s so soft and melts in your mouth. Both came with a honey glazed carrot and a side of your choice(I chose asparagus and they put it on the side). The honey glazed carrot was a bit different and I didn’t like it very much. My plate was just the steak and the honey glazed carrot, which made my plate so plain so the presentation of the food wasn’t all that great. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and helpful. She made sure to accommodate and achieve any requests that we may have. The manager stopped by once to ask how we were doing as well. Overall, I had a good dining experience with Bob’s Steak and Chop house and would definitely recommend this place.

I had dinner here. With a big group 9 people. The waiter Khurram was amazing. Very orderly. And smart. He asked first off if we wanted bills split. Super smart on his part. I had a salad. Super yummy. Everyone else had steak, one had the pork chop. All said food was amazing. It was a little dark. And bathrooms are outside of the restaurant. Great job.

Impressive! Appies Shrimp appetizer was tremendous. Fried, cocktail and another type in a remoulade. Calimari were fried and light. Bruschetta was vibrant and tasty. Salad Wedge salad was solid. Caesar was very good too Main courses Filet was big and rib eye marbled nicely. The filet came out too rare(raw), but I understand why. Heck, it’s top shelf meat. They happily brought it back med rare. Served w a massive candied carrot and garlic mashed. Dessert Key lime pie was generous size and tasty! When in Dallas, you won’t go wrong eating here!

We are here for NCA. Quick review: 1) service is great 2) onion rings need more flavor 3) kids’ size portions would be appreciated 4) ribeye was good, not the best I’ve had but good 5) jumbo fried shrimp was great 6) drinks were delish It’s in a hotel and breaks all«hotel restaurant» stereotypes. Really good but doesn’t hold a candle to Capital Grill for me.

We went to the Omni hotel for a graduation dinner. Although I don’t have nice things to say about the hotel staff, this restaurant was amazing! When you first sit down there is a jar of pickled bell peppers and cucumbers, which is interesting! Pretty tasty but I’ve never seen that! They also give you bread and butter. Our waiter was very nice and joked around with us all night. I have to say the most delicious thing I tried was the bacon! I know that sounds strange but they have the most delicious, thick cut strips of bacons for an appetiZer that I could have had a whole plate of!!! The lobster bisque was delicious! I ordered the rack of lamb with the garlic mashed potatoes, and you get one giant glazed carrot($ 40). I have no complaints at all. Everything tastes absolutely delicious, and I mean for the price it should! At the end of the night we tried this giant ice cream with a warm brownie thing… equally delicious! I have no complaints! It’s pretty pricy but for the quality it’s really quite delicious! I’m also a huge lamb person so…

I ordered the most expensive steak. Oh hell why not right? Well it was good, but not the best kobe/wagyu i’ve had. It wasn’t as tender and fresh as I wish it would be. The seasoning on my steak was exceptional though. The service here is impeccable and décor is great. Other options on the menu are very nice and hearty. It is a steakhouse in Texas… I would recommend this restaurant if you are at this hotel.

Do we have a Bob’s in the Chicagoland area? If we don’t, someone should get on that right away. Bob’s Steak and Chop House is located inside of the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas on Lamar Street. I found out that there are two Omni’s in Dallas, so don’t get confused. I was in town for a quick business trip and my boss had decided on Bob’s for our group dinner. I am so pleased that she did! Ten of us were gathered for dinner on a Wednesday evening at eight o’clock. It felt like we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We certainly had the most attentive server, Jeff! I was a little nervous as Jeff was a bit talkative, but it was all about the food, so it worked out okay. There were two jars of pickled red bell peppers and cucumbers on the table. They weren’t exactly pickles yet, because they hadn’t gone through the whole pickling process(I hope I’m describing this correctly because I don’t eat pickles…). These were thoroughly enjoyed by most of the table. Warm bread arrived, but there was so much talking that by the time I got to the bread, it was room temperature and kinda chewy. I wish I had tasted it warm. One of my bosses wanted to order wine, but had some questions. Jeff was knowledgeable, but not to the level on the topic of wine that my boss desired. Without prompting, Jeff excused himself only to return with a gentleman who was very familiar with the wines we were interested in trying. Nice move! I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order, but I knew I had to try the crab cakes. Thankfully, the gentleman sitting next to me was thinking the same thing. We split the shrimp cocktail and a crab cake appetizer to start. The shrimp were jumbo! And the horseradish was plentiful in and on top of the sauce. It was a lovely way to start the meal. The crab cakes were mainly crab with very little filler. They were seasoned just so and the sauce was a nice compliment, but not necessary. I enjoyed the entire appetizer course. For dinner, I was leaning toward a ribeye when my dining buddy encouraged me to try the bone-in ribeye. I gave it a whirl. It was served with a large carrot and I chose the fried potatoes, sautéed onions and peppercorn gravy on the side. The ribeye was seasoned with butter, salt and pepper. It had a great crust and it was served at medium rare as requested. The carrot tasted like it had spent the entire day in orange juice before it hopped in my mouth. I thought it was a nice addition to the plate. And the potatoes were right up my alley! I tried the peppercorn gravy, but I was glad that I requested it on the side because I didn’t love it. I think it was just a matter of preference. After a very attentive dinner, I was pleased that Jeff remained just as courteous and helpful through dessert. It turned out that there was a birthday at the table and so fudge frosted chocolate cake and a locally made French silk vanilla ice cream(in a separate cup) made its way to our table. I can’t begin to tell you how much we enjoyed both, but especially the ice cream. And then, we indulged in a variety of after dinner cocktails and spiked coffees. Needless to say, we ended on a high note. The restaurant was immaculate. The service was top notch. The food was very, very good, but they could use some work on the presentation. I have a friend who may be moving to the Dallas area soon. At least I’ll know of one great place to suggest!
