This is my favorite Mexican burrito place in Dallas. The serving size is large and plentiful. I usually get Al Pastor or Fajita. It comes with small salad and fresh slices of avocado. The burrito is close to the Cali style. Burrito is always fresh and hot. Quick service!

Great place to order tacos late night. They are open 24/7, but must order at the walk up window facing the Racetrac. Good variety of meats to choose from with fresh corn tortillas.

The prices are fantastic and the food is very authentic. I really enjoyed it! I recommend the Parrilla(Fajita) Mixta. I split it with my boyfriend but it can easily feed 3 people(with an extra order of tortillas).

Great food for excellent price! I ordered a Parrillada Mixta and it comes with flour or corn tortillas, a plate of beans, rice, pico, and nopales. It feeds about 3 – 4 people for only $ 14! Their tacos and tortas are delicious! I recommend if you want traditional Mexican food.

I went last week with my buddy to this place and i was very surprised with the food. The appetizer are tostadas and chiles en escabeche so delish. I ordered lamb tacos and the consome. They were both very tasteful and had alot of flavor. You really gotta try the tepache omg i cant belive they have tepache. For those of you that dont know what tepache is its a pinnaple and spices drink originated from the midwest state of Jalisco in Mexico. Anyways, this place hit the spot and its truly one of the few places that taste like REALMEXICOFOOD. Birreria Arriaga its the place if you want authentic Jalisco Food!

Good eating from the cooking of Jalisco, Mexico. I ordered the the chile con carne, beef con carne tacos and Tripas tacos. That’s right beef intestine tacos. It was on point! And the chile con carne, well, I love this dish due to beef embedded w/spicy Mexican sauce. The rice was authentic. Mexican rice made the traditional way where you boil fresh tomatoes for the tomato sauce to be added during the rice cooking process… way better than canned tomato sauce. Refried beans on point! You’ll surely be full with your meal because corn tortillas will keep on coming. And the chips and salsa, well they will fulfill any hunger urges you have early on while waiting on your meal. Hot sauce was spicy! Location of restaurant was in a less than ideal location. There’s a lot of traffic during rush hour/lunch times. And… for a night out w/your hot date?!? You just might want to see if she or he doesn’t care about where they’d want to eat. This restaurant isn’t about décor or impressing your GQ-ness Like yourself, I love food and love new cultural experience and don’t care where I go for delicious authentic food. Although, you might want carry concealed Hehehehehrh. It is in an area where«the Batman» might rollllllllll. But, head here for good Mexican food.

Sunday night is Taco Night. It is as American as apple pie and as Mexican as birria. With that said, I was looking for authentic Mexican tacos and looked to this place. Once I got out of my car, I saw many Mexican families heading over to this place and noticed that the majority of people spoke Spanish. I took these 2 signs as maybe I’ve hit the jackpot in authenticity. Immediately when my party was sat down, we received a serving of crispy circular chips that were definitely not tortilla-based. They were really crunchy with a particular spice. They were served with a fragrant, flowery salsa of onion, carrot, and orange peppers. Refreshing, I like this place. Note: If you want more of this freebee appetizer, they will charge you. Now, onto the main course. The Food(2x beef fajita, 2x lamb birria, 1x pork al pastor): The tacos arrived wrapped in 2 small tortillas with only meat. They put the onion and cilantro on the side for you to control, but in a meager portion. Tears of joy ran down my face as I saw the greasy manteca wet the tortilla. The smell of grilled beef, long stewed lamb, and roasted pork was strong and awoke the inner carnivore in me. (Beef) Fajita Tacos: The beef fajita was crunchy with a strong beefy flavor. As the beef cooked, its meaty flavor concentrated and really packed a punch. THISHASMOREBEEFFLAVORTHANWHATABURGER and MCDONALDSCHEESEBURGERSCOMBINED! It wasn’t heavy, nor was it light… it was just right. Overall, they made the fajita meat very well due to the inherent beefiness that worked well with the cilantro and onion. I added their red salsa, which added heat and tangy tomato, but it was slightly bitter and fragrant(–1 star). It didn’t pair well as well, since it didn’t do anything to enhance the taco. (Lamb) Birria Tacos: Birria is usually made with stewed goat meat; or beef or chicken. THISPLACESUSESLAMBMEAT. My initial thoughts upon tasting it: Did I just order a rack of New Zealand lamb for $ 1.25? I think so! Well done, bravo. Lamb usually has a really pungent flavor, but this place balanced and tamed it with the right herbs, spices, and cooking. It was sweet and lamby without any of the usual problems encountered when cooking with lamb. (Pork) Al Pastor Tacos: You can taste the charred/grilled flavor of the pork. It is not overly sweet and the pork, meaty flavor was very controlled. Usually, I see Al Pastor paired with grilled pineapple, but this pork was sweet enough. Between the fajita, birria, and al pastor, the al pastor had the mildest flavor. You can live without tasting their al pastor. The Verdict: I smell authenticity here. You see the grease fallout on the plate, but that’s what makes up the flavor of a great taco. The fajita had a strong beefy flavor that is usually tough to reproduce. Many people think that making beef fajita meat is just grilling beef, BUTTHATSJUSTWRONG! Ive experienced taco places with weak beef flavor in their carne asada, and I feel the dolor en mi corazon. The lamb birria is what you should be coming for; sweet, lamby, but not too lamby. The al pastor is sweet, but not really to die for. Overall, the tacos are cheap($ 1.25) and great to eat.

Seriously the best place for tacos I’ve ever tried! El Ranchero was my go to place until I came across this restaurant. Not only is it cheaper, the verde sauce is absolutely amazing! I never leave dissatisfied, this is my overall favorite place.

So I’m not sure exactly why I gave it a five star… I had their breakfast taco, egg with potato. What comes to mind when you think of a Mexican egg and potato taco? Nice soft crispy egg with crispy potato cubes cut in the restaurant, right? Well not here! The egg was sad and lame and the fries… yup I said FRIESCRINKLE cut FRIES(think Church’s Chicken fries), NOT cubed potato from an actual potato… Obviously a huge disappointment. I didn’t eat it. So we ate outside, therefore our tacos came in to-go boxes. Everyone ordered 3 or 4 tacos and theirs were awesomely arranged in big containers with a lot of the usual taco fixings AND grilled onion. So after the big disappointment I decided to order the fajita tacos(I ordered three on purpose so I could get the neatly arranged big box.) Nope!!! All three were cramped in a teeny box with barely any fixings, one sad lime wedge, and no grilled onions… dude. Could it have been that I’m a chick?! I’m gonna cross out that idea for my own sanity. If you’re gonna eat here, eat inside. Just eat inside please!

If you want delicious, cheap tacos for only $ 1/taco…this…is…the place. However, don’t expect outstanding customer service and although you have the option to order outside and eat at the benches, there always seems to be a bum nearby asking for money or a free taco. Also, the tacos are a little on the greasy side but you get limes, grilled onions(if you order outside) and delightful green creamy sauce. Despite the things that aren’t going for this place, what keeps me coming here every week are those cheap tacos!

I went to the location that’s in Garland and enjoyed the food. With that being said, I have to go in detail about my experience. Walking in, I thought that it was cleaner than I expected because of the area it’s located in. I went to the restroom and it was very clean add well. Very welcoming place, composited to some of the small taco restaurants in the area. Okay customer service The food! I ordered three tacos(2pastor &1 fajita) with beans, rice and a drink(to go). I thought the placement of food was neat and clean. The corn tortillas were doubled soft with a light crunch, the pastor looked very juicy with a lot of flavor and it delivered. Very good… Same with fajita taco Beans were not the best I’ve had, could use more flavor for my taste. Rice was good. The sauce! They didn’t offer the green sauce like most places but, the red sauce they use was great. Possibly one if the best I’ve had. Not to thick with flavor. Spicy but but to spicy. Left my lips with a little tingle, I can appreciate good sauce. Overall, I rated it with 4 stars because of the price. I thought that $ 9 was on the high end for three tacos, beans, rice, and a drink. I would definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Lamb tacos. three of em. with beans and rice for $ 7.50. You won’t get speedy service necessarily and if you are Caucasian, they may be afraid of you. My poor waitress got a teenager out of the kitchen to help take my order because she was afraid of of me. No problem. I can speak halting limited Spanish with the best of em. I can point at things too. It all worked out. Would I go again? I think I might. I saw a lot of older gents eating lamb stew and I think next time that’s what I want to try.

A few weeks ago, some friends and I decided to try our luck at this place. The drive from my East Dallas abode was a little lengthy, especially considering Google Maps first tried to direct us towards an address in Garland — do not be fooled by the evil Google, the location is actually off of Northwest and Webb Chappel, near Korea Town. Eventually we made it over there and pulled into a packed parking lot from all the patrons at the restaurant next door. There weren’t many people in Aguinaga so we sat down and the waitress brought our menus. She also brought out some crisped tortillas(in lieu of chips) and an onion/lime juice/habenero pepper mixture that we ate on top of our tortillas. It was delicious but fairly spicy, so bland lovers beware. The menu here is extensive — they offer plates of meat, tacos, stews, tortas, sopes, nachos, meat by the pound, etc., and everything is very fairly priced. Their specialty is lamb meat, so I ordered a few birria tacos and a few pastor for good measure. The tacos come with cilantro and fresh onions, as well as a jalapeño and lemons, in addition to the oregano shaker and red and green sauce sitting on the table. My lamb tacos were pretty tasty — birria is a stew meat somewhat similar to barbacoa in texture, so the meat was very tender and juicy with a slightly spicy flavor. For my first time having lamb tacos, I was impressed. They weren’t as fatty as barbacoa tends to be and had a lot more flavor. The pastor tacos were okay. Just okay. They were just a little too dry for my liking, and were missing that nice charring that I so enjoy. After tacos, we stopped by El Pulpo, the restaurant next door, for a quick drink before we headed home and just based on their chips, salsa, and queso alone, I’ll be stopping back in there some time to try out their fajitas.
