Small fried chicken salad is nearly enough for two and pretty dang good! Chopped up, delicious chicken breast over a bed of shredded lettuce, onion, tomato and pickles. Simple, delicious and MORE than enough for anyone’s lunch… When you walk in, stay to the right and order just under the sign that says ORDERHERE. They’ll ask for your initials as an identifier. Move to the left of the counter and out of the way till they call your initials. Pay for your food at the front like a gas station counter. Then GETTHEHELLOUTOFTHERE. Don’t wear your Trump 2016 hat or shirt, for the LOVEOFGOD.

Best fried chicken in Dallas as far as I’m concerned. Also they have a great chicken salad, which is a green salad with fresh chicken breast chopped up in front of you and put in top and hard for them to close lid because they don’t skimp on loading it with fresh chicken breast. Great and fair prices also.

I’ll be honest I would never stop at this place if I drove by. I don’t really even know how I got there but I will go back for sure. It’s a convenience store and it’s crowed but only because people are there to buy food, fried chicken, pork chops, burgers and salad oh my. We went at lunch got there around 12:15 so there was a short line but it moved fast. The lady who took my order was very courteous. Really once you step inside those doors there is nothing to be afraid of., yes this isn’t the greatest neighborhood but no one is going to bother you. I wanted to try the chicken salad but once I saw was they had wings well it was all over. Those were the wings will make you sing, no lie. I didn’t even need the fries or bread. The wings were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Next time I will call my order in and I recommend you do that as well, we only waited max 15 minutes but it was right in the middle of the lunch rush. It was far from work but worth the drive and every penny of the price because I enjoyed my chicken immensely while I worked. The service is top notch as well, so don’t let the people or the neighborhood stop you enjoying some really good chicken. I cannot wait to try the chicken salad and the pork chop basket on my next trip.

Oh My Lanta!!! This is AMAZING. I was referred here by a coworker, and yes as others have said the neighborhood isn’t the greatest, but it is worth possibly being shot to eat this chicken salad! *(joking on the shooting part) I get the small chicken salad, and it is HUGE and mostly meat. Like others say, if you’d like to avoid the line, call ahead and get ready to be stuffed!!! So flavorful, moist and delicious. Even the finickiest of eaters can satisfy their taste buds here!

Chicken Salad was GOOD. Waited only 10mins and service was nice. Don’t let the location scare you from going because it’s definitely worth going to. In the meantime, I WILL be back!

My husband ordered a large chicken salad and always finishes his food, but couldnt finish this. If I ate salad I would have helped him out. I ordered a 3 piece wing basket and it was great. The chicken was seasoned down to the bone. I didnt expect such great chicken from a convenience store but it was delicious. I passed by here for years never thought to stop by, but saw all the great pics and reviews and had to try it out. It didnt disappoint. I will most definitely return.

Where do I begin? This place was a referral from a child hood friend! It is by far the best fried chicken in Dallas! That chicken breast? OMG! Yes it’s in the hood, but the neighborhood convenience store, offers exceptional customer service, it is obvious the owners/management take pride in offering a product that is consistently good. I highly recommend this place for take out fried chicken! Thank you Tracy Shaw for introducing me to the truth!

I came to this place based on the Unilocal reviews. This place by far has the best– And i mean the best chicken that i have ever eaten. I ordered the chicken salad that was pretty darn good. I got the small and it was more than enough. I couldnt even finish eating it, They prices are reasonable and you certainly get your $$‘s worth. Try to get there early if you are going for lunch. I am sold/hooked & i look foward to trying some of their other menu items. The food is served fresh and the wait time wasnt 10 – 15 mins– I went at 11:20 am. Fyi: It is in a less than desireable neighborhood– However you will be ok. If you are nervous once you drive past the location. Go grab a bullet proof vest and return… This place will not disappoint you.

Absolutely the best fried chicken. The meat is actually marinated versus other places I’ve tried where the meat is tasteless except for seasoned salt sprinkled on top. I really like the cheeseburgers, and my husband likes their fried fish. The parking lot is small, and it’s super crowded during lunch and right when people get off from work so be prepared for that. It’s also a convenience store so they carry all sorts of drinks and snacks. I usually stock up on snacks and energy drinks to bring back to work. The food is also decently priced, especially if it’s the day’s special. Area isn’t the greatest so if you are willing to ignore that for some really good food, go check it out.

Mom and Pop convenient store located in the hood BUT well worth the wait. PLEASE call in first cause there will be a wait and they have early hours. I think they close at 8pm. «Grab and go place,» or there are even areas where you can sit in your vehicle and watch the view. People sitting in cars eating and playing their radios. The food alone is worth trying at least ONCE. The workers from the front to back are extremely polite. They work fast to get you in and out. This is a neighborhood friendly hangout. You go once, you will go back again. Get phone get your phone or your video because there will be plenty to see. Such a diverse atmosphere. No public restrooms.

I loved the pork chop basket! Even the bone was delicious. I wish there was an eating area, I would love to eat it as soon as they put it in that brown paper bag. The area the store is in may not be the best and they may have transients walking around and asking for money but the food will definitely make up for the temporary fear for your life. And the fries are hella good too!

Best southern chicken salad in the metroplex… they are a lil slow an often packed… they cook in the back of a convenience store. They do take credit or debit card. They have daily specials and you can call in your order ahead of time if short on time, otherwise you will be waiting in a long line. They are generally packed for lunch and dinner time. What does that tell you… must be good! Lol

Food(**** out of *****); An enormous helping of fried chicken on a bed of salad. The chicken is freshly fried, never sat under heat lamps, and seasoned just right. I think there’s an entire chicken on that salad! An entire family of 4 can probably share one chicken salad at this joint for dinner! Yum, yum! Service(*** out of *****); You walk up to the counter and order, they chop up your chicken and prepare your salad right in front of you. Then you pay at the cashier. To go service only. No dine in. Atmosphere(* out of *****); You’re ordering food at what used to be a gas station, in the hood, where all the houses have boarded up windows. Don’t go at night and be friendly to everyone there so you don’t seem out of place. The place is often packed, but don’t park on the street behind the place. Wait patiently for a parking spot right in front of the joint so you can watch your car while you’re buying your fried chicken. It’s not dangerous here but do stay sharp and pay attention to your surroundings(turn off that smart phone). Conclusion; Best fried chicken deal this side of the Rio Grande. If you’re in Fair Park for the state fair, then skip the overpriced fair food and give this joint a try. I promise you’ll leave with a smile a big as Texas! For the price of one entrée, you can feed an entire family!(Sorry I don’t remember the exact price, but I think it’s around $ 8. All I remember is that it was a great deal because of the enormous amount of food I got for what I paid). Enjoy!
