Good burger! Didn’t care for the fries much but everything else was really good. The prices are a little on the high side for what you are getting.

Like opening up a fresh can of Hormel chili… Had the Beck’s Prime chili for $ 8 the other day. Yes, $ 8 for maybe almost 8 ounces. This place is WAY overpriced. Save yourself the money and go buy a can of Hormel for fifty cents. Pros: Didn’t charge extra for cheese and onions. Cons: Greasy, small portion of low quality chili that was barely warm. Still have that onion taste in my mouth three days later. Besides that, pretty good… tasted like what I imagine dog food might taste like.

Wanted to try Beck’s and I am overall very happy. The service was good, the girl behind the counter was very friendly. I ordered the burger and was pleased with my order. It was juicy and made the way I ordered. Overall a pleasant experience from a pleasant place.

Say yes to 20 ounce Temptress on tap for $ 5. Pork ban manh sandwich was interesting and different and perhaps healthier option than burger. It had cilantro and sirachi and jalepinos and was tasty. Nice staff. Good fries. Boring décor. Huge TVs(bad). Kinda loud. Bit chilly. High priced. Can someone tell me why a guy ordering at the counter had a shaving kit? Is this a new thing? Like a «man bag»? Just curious.

Had lunch here today. $ 15 dollars for a hamburger mediocre fries and a drink. The blue cheese hamburger was slathered in mayonnaise. There are better places North Dallas. I’ll stick to Kenny’s hamburgers or In and Out. I really don’t like the entire staff staring at me at lunch either. I won’t be back.

Yes, it is expensive but the quality and portion are worth it. I ordered a Bill”s Burger, medium rare. Very nicely cooked, but for take out a bit TOO underdone, burger was falling apart. So, next time I’ll bump up to medium in hopes of a sturdier burger. The toppings were great. Nice heat from the jalapeños. The fries are good, lots of them as a side order. I used DoorDash for delivery and they provide wonderful service.

Burger is excellent. Get Bills burger w grated cheese, raw onions and guac. Fries are also all natural and excellent. This is a high quality place. Ahi tuna is also excellent. I would highly recommend this place. I live down the street and the consistency of this place is great. Always a good meal.

Decent salad and chicken sandwiches. I’d give them four stars except for the prices seemed pretty steep for what it is. Very friendly staff.

Becks Prime is by far my favorite burger place in Houston. It’s my go-to place whenever I’m really hungry. I get the B.P. burger(rare) with an extra side of Prime sauce. I love it because the burger doesn’t taste fattening or too salty like most other places do. Sometimes I order a side of sweet potato fries or a chocolate milkshake, but usually the burger is enough to fill me up. I’ve been to Kirby and Downtown locations.

I chose the bubba burger, sweet potato fries, Caesar salads with ribeye. My boyfriend ate the old fashioned hotdog. First of all, it was all very juicy and delicious. But the Caesar salad was not as good as others. Ribeye was excellent choice, but the salads dressing did not taste good. Anyway

Becks Prime cheeseburger has become my favorite in town. The local craft beer on tap may be a small selection but they have always had some really good ones to pick from, including Deep Ellum IPA(at a great price by the way). We weren’t especially impressed with the Kitchen Sink dish or the chicken sandwich. But for a quality burger and great draft beer, this place hits a home run. Sweet potato fries are a local favorite. Frozen margaritas were delicious as well. Staff is very friendly. Patio is dog friendly.

Best burger in Dallas, cooked«to order»(mine came perfectly medium rare). Cooked over mesquite wood coals, served on toasted sesame seed buns, with hand cut fries. Hickory sauce is especially good.

Such a shame to write this review because my boyfriend and I love Becks but I do NOT love hair in my salad! The servers hair was blonde, the hair in my salad was black. This is a very big issue for me, if you aren’t wearing a hair net while preparing food/salad, what other sanitation steps are you skipping? We didn’t even get to the steak part of our dinner. Worse part about this whole episode is when it was brought to the managers attention, he said«sorry» like it was no big deal. Beck’s Prime of 4002 Oak Lawn Avenue will not be getting any of our business.

Terrific burgers handmade to order. Local craft beers on tap and in bottle. Variety of other plates and sandwiches — We’ve enjoyed pretty much everything they have here. We ordered from DoorDash(delivery service from many local restaurants), and everything came fresh and surprisingly hot. One order was incorrect — and manager Paula made it right, very quickly — impressive service. Only item in the con column would be the guacamole, which I suspect is not hand-mashed; tastes like the kind from a box at the grocery store. Other than that — great.

Customer service was 6-star. Food was average. Prices were way higher than comparable food elsewhere. So even with a great name like Becks, we probably won’t go back. Too many competitors do it just as well for 2⁄3 the price. But kudos on the customer service. Somebody has trained that staff well – and/or just hired amazing people.

This is more of a 3-star restaurant in the realm of ALL restaurants in existence, but for what it is(a sort of upscale fast-food burger place), it’s a solid 4 stars. First of all, you have a drive-through option… and I don’t know of any other upscale burger joints that offer that, much less ANY other restaurant where you can order a steak at a drive-through window.(Yes, as weird as that sounds. I haven’t tried it. You probably wouldn’t go here for a steak, but who knows, maybe they’re fantastic.) The smell of their kitchen exhaust is what got me in here in the first place. It smells AMAZING. The food lives up to the smells, haha. My husband loves the Bill’s Burger(with bacon, jalapenos, sauteed onions, and cheddar). I don’t think he would call it the best burger of his life, but it certainly satisfies. I’ve had bites of his burgers here but have only ordered their salads myself, simply because I wasn’t in the mood for a burger(sadly). Their salads are great! The Queen of Hearts(with hearts of palm and artichoke hearts, among other things) and the Kirby salad(with spiced pecans, dried cranberries, and blue cheese, among other things) and the Mediterranean salad all are excellent salad options, especially if you add chicken(with that delicious smoky flavor, mmm) or seared tuna(also mmm). I’m also a big fan of their fries, which usually have a good sampling of skin-on slices, my favorite. Like the rest of their food, the fries taste really fresh. Service has always been very friendly, and during Christmas they even had a real(live) tree up with ornaments and everything. It was really nice and homey. Yeah, they don’t check your drinks as much as at a regular sit-down restaurant, but come on… this is not REALLY a full-service restaurant. You wouldn’t complain about not being offered refills at any other order-at-the-counter restaurant. I see it as a really nice gesture that they come around once or twice at all. All told, this is a great, casual place that suits when you’re looking for a fairly quick, affordable meal but want something a little step up from fast food. Don’t have your expectations TOO high… it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s great for what it is. Let’s keep a little perspective here, Unilocalers!

I always thought this was a BBQ place. I thought their burgers were very good and for a fair price. We got the cheeseburger($ 7.50), Bubba burger($ 8.50), and regular fries($ 2.75 I believe). They burgers were just the right amount of juicy for me. Some places(like Hopdoddy) make it a little too greasy for me personally but Becks got it right. The fries were enough for both of us to share. I can’t imagine eating the whole thing alone. The workers were all so friendly and helpful as well. The place itself is a good size. This used to be a Jack in the Box. I don’t know if it’s a new building but it’s the size of a fast food place but much nicer design. I would recommend this place.

This is pretty average and average doesn’t cut it when we have so many fantastic burger options in Dallas. The service is fast and you get the food relatively quick, but the food is just mediocre. I had a bacon cheeseburger and my friend had the Bill’s burger. We both concluded that the burgers were a little on the bland side. On the upside, its a decent sized burger. On the downside, its rather expensive for what it is. My fries were flimsy and needed more ketchup than usual. Sweet potato fries were ok. They need to fix the ratio of syrup to carbonated water, my orange sunkist tasted bland in keeping with the theme. I wanted to give it 3 stars, because its not really an awful place, but due to the price point(almost $ 15 for burger, fries, soda), I don’t think the results match it. At that price, there are a ton of other great options in Dallas.

Leaping flames in the kitchen gave me high hopes of a backyard-charb burger experience at Becks Prime – but those hopes were quickly dashed. Everything else about the restaurant was underwhelming – from the fast casual feel to the lack of creative menu options, Becks smacked of overpriced fast food burger. I’m not sure where the«prime» in the name comes from – Beck’s meats are billed as choice grade Angus. Nothing on their steak menu even hints at prime grade beef. I requested a blue cheese burger medium-rare, which they said they could cook – but the end result was a slightly-pink-in-the-middle patty on a dry, gritty cardboard-tasting bun that I could have lived without. Blue cheese slices, not crumbles, were layered on along with a slather of mayo. Not bad overall, but not great – the yucky grainy sesame seed bread still haunts what otherwise would have been a decent burger. I was appreciative of their crispy sweet potato fries, but could have been bettered with a liberal sprinkling of seasoning. The price-point of these burgers is inconsistent with the high-end competition. I didn’t feel Becks was operating in the same league as the big Dallas players, like Hopdoddy’s or Maple & Motor. I’m likely to lump them in the company of Carl’s Jr or Fuddruckers. I suppose if they’d focus on their burger menu, instead of trying to please everybody(sandwiches, steaks and salads also feature heavily on their menu), Becks could rival some of the best. Unfortunately, flame-grilling isn’t enough to help them stand apart from all the rest.

I loved it here for many reasons. First, you order at the counter instead of having someone that takes your order. Service is quicker this way because they give you a number. The guy recommended the Bill’s Burger, so I ordered it without the bun. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. Service was so quick, it was ready in less than 10 minutes or so. My food came out HOT and tasted really fresh. They cook their burger medium, so if you prefer something different tell them. The burger came with cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions and lettuce, it was REALLYGOOD. Sweet potatoes are a must here as well, they are seasoned perfect in my opinion. The prices are a little pricey, but the service and the quality of the food made it worth it. There is plenty of room to sit inside, and they even have a patio that seems dog friendly.
