I thought this place was really cute and had a good range of stuff for such a small boutique. I went in to buy a gift for my friend’s baby girl. I was hoping to find one or two cute little outfits that were really fun and different, not things you could find at any given Babies R Us. I also wanted a blanket or something sweet and snuggly. I ended up with a set of super soft blankies that come brilliantly in packs of 3 so the kiddo still has her fave blankie when she loses one or wears one out. The clothing search was a disappointment, though. I felt that all the newborn and infant stuff was very generic. Sure the onesies were soft and delicate, but lots of them were cream, white, or palest pink. Boring and too traditional. I wanted something a bit funky or edgy. I am NOT a pink lover and do everything in my power to be the person who does not bring a ton of pink clothes to a baby shower. But if you like the traditional frilly, lacy baby clothes, they definitely have plenty. I still love the store… they can’t help it I’m a weirdo who doesn’t want to buy pink for girls! I loved all the adorable stuffed animals, blankets, and cuddly items, too. I think I would like this place more for toddler clothing than baby clothes. They definitely had tons of fun dresses and jumpers for little girls. It seemed like the clothing was geared more toward older babies — 12 months and up — rather than infants. No idea what the boys’ clothes were like since I wasn’t shopping for a boy! The back room has toys for older children, some specialty items, and sale clothing. I could have spent a long time in there, but it’s pricey, so it’s probably good I didn’t find a ton of stuff I wanted to buy! The thing is, it’s pricey because they quality is good — no cheap polyester-feeling blankets or stiff onesies. I’ll definitely be back any time I want something special for a little one.

I have shopped here on and off for a few years. Great gift items but not where I’d go for my every day baby needs. The shop itself is very appealing to the customer — items are arranged beautifully and the merchandise is unique and whimsical. I make an effort to shop local as much as possible and support my local businesses which is the ONLY reason I contunue to shop Bebe Grand. The staff I have encountered upon every visit has been quite stand-offish and on one occasion down right rude. Shopping at BG should be a warm and fun experience and it would be if the people that work there/own it were more gracious and friendly. I always feel as though I’ve interrupted or bothered them by coming in. I’ve always been satisfied with my purchase — although it is obvious that their mark up is insane, like I said — I love Lakewood and want to see independent businesses thrive. But please, Bebe Grand — provide better customer service!

I love their kid clothing although expect to spend an arm and a leg when shopping here. I personally can’t afford to buy anything but I do like to browse the store every few months to see what cute offerings they have. Last time I went in I saw the cutest mermaid pajamas but they were(drum roll please) $ 70! I had to look at the price tag a few times just to make sure I was reading it correctly! Back area has toys and books. All in all a great place to find an unique baby gift.

Gorgeous stuff. Pricey. Really cute. The staff is completely uncaring and unaware of their customers. Each time I’ve been there, they’ve been busy arranging bows or something. Today I was there and was trying to buy a ball that was in a bin with a ton of things placed on top of it. I had my 8 month old daughter with me in one arm and was trying to get through the bin, stuff was flying everywhere and they didn’t lift a finger to help me. I walked out without the ball. But man, the clothes are cute as heck and they have a great selection of books and gifts. Just don’t expect help :)

Wow, I just can’t believe these Lakewood Gems have not yet been discovered! Just like I go to Talulah Belle as soon as I receive news that a girlfriend has said«yes» I go to Bebe Grand when I hear that she has a bun in the oven. I get the same gift for everyone, every time(usually this is a work person as none of my BFFs have decided to stop partying long enough to commit to the life sentence that is motherhood): a fluffy towel that looks like an animal. I have bought the daisy, the monkey, the elephant and the flamingo and every mom loves them! they are great for baths as well as pool or beach towels and are oh so adorable! They also have the absolute cutest and softest little toys and blankets, not to mention the sweetest little clothes and shoes you have ever seen. They are a little pricey, but this ain’t Babies R Us — it’s Bebe Grand and it’s worth flattening your wallet a little. Even if you don’t have a baby gift in mind, stop by next time you are in the area– it’s in the same strip as Cantina Laredo and Snow Pea, across from the old Minyards that is(allegedly) going to be a Whole Foods sometime before we all turn to dust.
