Banana Republic

Visited the day before Thanksgiving and the store was nicely staffed to attend to the crowds. I purchased a dress shirt and a couple sweaters taking advantage of their 50% off one item and 40% off rest of purchase sale. The men and women’s sections were divided nicely and contrary to some other Unilocal’ers experience I didn’t encounter any snobby or unhelpful staff members.

This late afternoon, I headed to this Banana Republic in the west village.
Simply making a return, not asking for anything extra. But I did get something a little extra.
The guy helping me with my return was this young, tall lanky blonde caucasian boy. The extra part was him having Resting B Face, and perhaps he has ADD as well. He kept asking me if I had worn the items I had returned. 2 – 3 times. For each item. Did he forget that he just asked me that very question?? It gave me the impression that he thought I was telling a fabrication. Did customer service change recently? It felt like the scene from Pretty Woman (no I’m not a lady of the evening, but yes he was one of those snarky little girls with animosity). At any rate, I responded each time to the same question, with just to try it on. And yes, his Face was still resting A LOT.
I hope this isn’t common practice for them to have their employees act so smug. Hopefully they (he) can leave those extras at home.

By far my most Favorite banana republic location in the DFW metroplex. They have a vast selection for both men & women. The workers are helpful. Their petite women’s section is AMAZING! I always find something at a decent price. Not too long ago, I got a dress for $ 70 and the original price was $ 180. #love

i LOVE the new Marissa Web inspired clothing at Banana Republic. Every time I pass this store, I see the mannequin in the front looking all fly, taunting me… telling me that I too could look that good… if only 1. I would stop eating and 2. buy the outfit. We’ll …1 out of 2 aint bad. So I seem to be buying the outfit every time I pass by. I think I may need to find a new path around the mall before I go broke! But for reals, this location has a great, nice & helpful staff, large layout, and very clean and organized store. And they do always seem to be having great sales, so yay!

One star only because the store is spacious and has nice layout. But don’t expect to be treated nice or as a decent human being.
I had the worst customer service ever! The manager of the store, Kelsey (not sure on the spelling) is absolutely rude. I have a pair of shoe, purchased at Galleria Dallas, that one of the pair’s heel is broken into half length wise, only after wearing for the second time. The cobbler I use — I have been a customer for more than 10 yrs now — advised me to take it to the store as the shoe was poorly manufactured. I took the shoes to this store. The male sales person at POS barely took a look at it and snobbishly said, «looks like your dog needs another chew toy.» I answered him, «as I pointed out before, there’s no teeth-​mark on this shoe which the high is broken.» He didn’t even apologized and turned around. Another sales person brought Kelsey, who seemed to be a store manager. She came to us with her mouth full and talked with food in her mouth. I explained the situation and politely asked if there’s a repair center to send it to. I also added that I will pay for the cost if necessary. Her first reaction? Snob «this was purchased out from an outlet.» Excuse me? Did i ask you where I purchased theses? And they are from Galleria. And then she add, «there’s no repair store and we cannot take these back or give you back your money.» I did not ask for a money back. And didn’t I just added that I will pay for whatever it’s necessary? I can assure you that my attire was not in bad taste. I asked politely, and received the worst, snobbish customer service. I’m sure you will go far in sales with that attitude. Thanks to you, I will NOT be spending any more on Banana Republic. You can thank yourself. :)

Good store layout. Lots of space. Dressing rooms are nice and have lost of room. Some times the employees are rude and snobbish but sometimes you get the best customer service ever!
This store is hit or miss on the employe front BUT they have a huge store. I love browsing this sale section. I always find at least one top (or pants or vest or sweater, you get the idea).
The store is utterly massive (have I said that yet). You don’t have to climb over tables or feel squished while shopping which is nice.
