Everyone is so frikkin nice.
Sanel is the best bodyguard ever! Sanel told my roommate (wearing a boot because of a broken toe) that if anyone touched her foot that he would kick them out immediately! And all the bartenders (Rob, Cole, David, Tia, and of course CZAR) are outrageously courteous and give the best service. So if you don’t tip them then go somewhere else!

This is officially the worst nightclub I have ever attended. We paid for a table with bottle service, about 3k, and they could not close out my account. I am still sitting here over an hour later and they cant close out my account. No discounts or concessions, they do not care about their customers.

All of these reviews are ridiculous. If you got to «nightclub» expect to get a nightclub experience. Yes it will be loud. Yes the crowd will be younger than you will find at a pub. Yes there will be a bouncer and you prob will not walk right in. Yes it will be packed. BUT yes it will be fun.
The staff is awesome. I have been coming here since they opened and if i have a free night this is where i like to spend my night. For a nightclub the drinks are reasonable and the music is always on point. C-​zar bar is the best, he is a great bartender (bar in the back right corner usually) and works quick to make sure you’re having a good time. The staff is attentive and makes sure that it stays a fun and safe environment. Brandon the VIP manager is always quick to respond if you need a table or request anything special when you get a table he makes it happen. The bottle girls are all really sweet and always look stunning. Jenice is the best, any time we get a table we ask for her!
It gets crowded around midnight so getting their around 11 — 11:30 makes getting in without a table pain free.
Ladies do not wear your best shoes… I have a pair of «Avenu heels» its a club people are dancing and drinking they will get stepped on so keep that in mind when picking shoes… only semi issue at this place but its all clubs. Its dark and no one will notice if youre not in your red bottoms lol
If youre looking for a fun night out to dance and listen to a good DJ this is the only place in Dallas to be on a Friday or Saturday night. Go to this place dressed to impress!

Very nice. Pretty dainty spot. If you’re a dude and you don’t have a table, I don’t think you’ll get in very easily… I came here with my friend for his friend’s birthday party (which they had gotten a table) and not to pull the race card, but they pulled the race card. Said the table was too packed and if he wanted to get in, my friend would have to buy another table, which started off at $ 700… Ok so after all of that nonsense we finally go in and the place is EMPTY. Wtf… Ok dude. Btw my friend is a handsome black man that was dressed up, not like some raggedy man at a kwik-​e mart. Came here another time with just girlfriends and it was like a Vegas night out (never been, just assuming). Staff is very nice and there’s valet right at their door. All they play is EDM (untz untz untz) music, good luck getting to ever hear Back that thang up by Juvenile, which personally, ALWAYS gets the fiesta started.

We asked for a table service and got the worst treatment any club could possibly give. This is by far the worst club in Dallas I’ve been to. The bouncers are rude.

Will never ever go to this club again. We paid 2000 for a vip table of 10 for nye 2016. As soon as it was 12 midnight the bouncers came and kicked us out of the club just because they had sold the table to someone after 12. They told us our time was up. Even after paying 2000 bucks we had to go through all this. And the bouncer was clearly racist towards us. He started pushing us n threatened us for no reason. I guess the bouncers here have a different business going on among themselves where they sell the tables to whoever they want to. Please please don’t waste your money at this place. Its not worth it. We learnt it the hard way.

I visited Avenu for the 10ish time over the last couple years. Bottle service is always up to par and the service is standard. Prices are competitive for other comparable lounges/​clubs in the area. My fiancée always has a great time going out with me or her girl friends. Also, we have never had a problem with scheduling. Music is excellent! Like always, we will be back.

Ordered two tequila drinks total was 51 dollars. Asked bartender what was up with the price and was told that they don’t have well liquor and that people that come there do not order well. Over all atmosphere was ok but, bartender was rude and condescending. Will absolutely never go back to this club.

Being born and raised in Las Vegas and now living in LA I have had a decent amount of club experience. I can tell you that for someone who’s just going in to have some fun and buy a couple of drinks and dance any club that’s biased towards bottle service sucks. This is one of them. Unless you’re reserved for a table, this place is lame. DJ doesn’t know the crowd and didn’t even give a shout to a birthday girl… who paid for bottle service! I’ve seen some of the biggest DJs in the world (Armin, Tiesto, Aoki) and even they give shout outs to people of birthdays or special appearances like a famous boxer or something. Oh did I mention they pour weak drinks too? Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because there were a number of cute girls.

Not much of a clubber anymore honestly, but I just plain think this place is average. If you like a raging, drink and dance your face off kind of attitude, then this is the place for you. Trust me, I used to really enjoy places like this for maybe an hour, two at max. But to think people do this on the regular just blows my mind. Cheers to you!

Avenu Lounge was the worst fiasco! Never going there again! After having confirmed that there was no cover on their Facebook page for a dj event, I invited a big group of people from Uptown Young Professionals. When we got there the arrogant bouncers said we couldn’t get in if we were not on the guestlist! I asked why I wasn’t told this when I asked on FB, he replied that the person who runs social media knows nothing about the day to day operations. Way to go Avenu!
Avenu has the worst PR of any venue that I have dealt with in Dallas. I will stick to the Sisu, Lizard, Dram or Truth and Alibi when wanting to dance.
Don’t go to Avenu! Don’t waste your time! They won’t let you in unless you…

This crappy «club» on McKinney is not worth it. If it was Vegas or NY, I would understand, but not for Dallas. They took the word pretentious to a new level.

Plus side: You never go there again and waste your money and time
Negative Side: You go there to earn a lower quality experience and after that everywhere you go you feel much better!
I mean seriously the worst place you can hang out in Uptown. You better stay home on your couch and drink beer. Extremely rude staff and low quality DJing. I have been there at least 10 times in the last three months because of my BAE but I do not recommend you to go there. I finally made her stop going there because it is a waste of time and money. I have been in the best clubs all over US so I know what I should expect. On the plus side, there are handsome bouncers that better put their statues without even saying a word. You cannot treat someone with a luxorious life to obey what you say. I would buy this place and burn it down if I wanted to waste my change money, but I do not have extra time.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My girls and I waited in line and the bouncer told us they are having a busy night so we can’t come in tonight. And he said if we get a table for 1000 minimum we would get in, seriously? Then we entertained that idea and he said there are actually no tables available. I’m pretty sure I saw some girls in skimpy outfits sneaking in and out on the other side. I have never been denied entrance to a bar. This was an awful experience especially considering I had friends from out of town visiting.

Ripped off!
I was at Avenu Lounge last evening to meet up with friends… we ordered 3 domestic beers and the bartender charged us $ 18($ 6.00 each which is high for domestic)…we gave him a $ 20 each time we ordered and we ordered 3 rounds… later in the evening when our group way saying our goodbyes to one another I saw the register ringing up Domestic beers for $ 5.00…so basically we were ripped off and the bartender made some extra cash… now I know in the grand scheme of life, being took for $ 9.00 extra bucks isn’t going to make the world stop turning… but I hate to be ripped off by dishonest people… so if you want to get ripped off you can go to Avenu Lounge because I’m sure they would gladly take your cash anyway they feel like.
Since we paid in cash and got no receipt, I felt it was a useless to talk to management… I just know we will never go back… and if this was done to all patrons I wonder how much extra the staff made…

A MUST READ… BUT to bad indeed
Took some international travelors to this place (Aug 29^th, 2014) based upon the review and some comments from some friends that reside within the US… However let me introduce myself as George (Director of Marketing and PR for Hilton Hotels Asia).
Took about 7 international guest and decided to go to this place however was turned away as they stated «no more tables» but seemed as if it was more like «no International guest allowed»…To bad they didnt know that Mr. Li was with us, AKA Jet Li. So we decied to take a strole down the street where we were warmly welcomed by the Manger of the outlet named, 6^th Street… A warm welcome indeed…
If your looking to go to this place you might have better luck than us. Good luck to this venue as we didnt get any luck…

I don’t know what people write here… there is no issue with the door guys, just DRESS like you are going to a CLUB, don’t wear freaking shorts! Who wears shorts to a nightclub?!
I like coming here about once or twice a month with my gfs (all mixed btw)
First: its in uptown, bars and clubs here in Dallas think they are in NYC or something so think about that.
Second: brush your hair or get your hair did… seriously. Don’t complain you cant get into a foofoo club looking like you took the time machine from the 80ies.
Third: ladies. dress for your size. Men no SHORTS, no saggy pants. What are you thinking?
Forth: why is everything right away about race? this is bs and you know it. Dress accordingly, walk erect as a homo sapiens should, look presentable and upscale and no one will have an issue not getting into any place.
The drinks are typical about $ 8 for a well drink. there are no Dixie cubs so I have no clue where that comes from. Plus they do pour it very generously.
I usually have a high tolerance but after 2 drinks I am an awesome dancer :)
The floors get wet fast so ladies be careful, specially in front of the bars and bathrooms.
The dance floor is a bit small. They usually have great DJs.
The crowd can be very mixed. sometimes there are A LOT of middle eastern people, other days more white and mixed people and I think Thursday it is hip hop night (or Sundays. don’t know)
Either way, I always have a blast here, and so do all my girlfriends. We are a very diverse crowd and we never ever had an issue here that is why I don’t get some comments on here. The music is great, dancing is fun, people watching is great and if you know B celebs there are a few all the time! (including me hehe)

Racist place! Didn’t even go inside to try their place, but had to deal with their horrible parking lot, waitress and rude bouncers! They treated multiple Asian customers (who were from different groups) like 2^nd class citizens! This place has NO valet and the parking lot shares with next door Shell Shack. BEWARE
After we ate dinner we got to our car to find that their OWN employees parked in the customer lots and BLOCKED the entire entrance/​exit drive-​way so none of the cars can enter or exit!
The blonde waitress «Rina» in her black Mercedes was rude because she BLOCKED the enterance/​exit where the guests parks. We asked her to move her car and not only was she RUDE, she honked and tried to HIT an Asian girl who was trying to walk to her car, get in her car and get out of the lot.
There were 7 people/​customers watching the situation. The rude bouncer even came out to see what was going on. He even tried to protect «Rina» cause we were all yelling at «Rina» to watch out and not hit the girl! «RINA» purposely yelled at everyone that SHE and HER business owns the parking lot! The bad breath bouncer also tried to get in people’s faces (hence why I know) by flashing his flash light at me, which didn’t do any good.
There were lots of witnesses and customers. BTW this was only at 10pm… imagine later at night with drunk people!
NEVER GO TO THAT PLACE or PARK IN THAT LOT AT NIGHT UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH «RINA» AND THE RUDE BOUNCERS! We were also Asian and they treated us like animals!
For the employees… way to go in representing the business! ALL rude and no class. can imagine how you treat your customers inside!!!

TIP: Valet is $ 10
My friend had his birthday at Avenu. I was able to enter by stating the guestlist I was on. Turns out my friend knows the general manager at Avenu. This didn’t get us any special treatment, my friend had a bit too much to drink and was repeatedly asked to leave. Though he was able to get back in through the smoking area haha.
Venue is a bit small but feels exclusive as there were many attractive people here. Due to the size, the sound system as well as the lasers were good enough to warrant a thumbs up. The washrooms were clean which is a big plus but there are only two stalls so you may have to wait a bit.
Drinks are relatively cheap. I’m use to NYC prices so I was shocked when two shots and a beer came to $ 18.
