You know what’s funny? The only reason why I rated it three stars is because the food is good. But the service? Oh lord! Lol … I’m sitting here reading the reviews and everyone is on one accord about the food being great but the service is horrible lol. I definitely agree. The manager though is awesome and there is a server who seems to be nice as well… But there are some who just have the worst attitude ever. With that kind of attitude u all will get no where in this life. Don’t be mad at me for nothing, just do your job and be grateful you got one lol. If I wasn’t mature and grown lol I would have definitely went cra cra on the a**. It’s sad that they would treat people with no respect. Why u mad though? It’s not my fault that you have to work? Lol. Anyways if I was the owner I would really be picky about who I hire. You are driving away good customers and money with the horrible service and people you hire. The only thing that keeps bringing me back is the food and the owner is not a bad person. But pls I beg oh hire better people. I really hate when I have to come there to get food because I know the experience is never good. It’s all good, u lucky I love to eat. If not my a** would never come back. Lol

I was visiting Dallas from the midwest and I really wanted to eat at a nigerian restaurant. Unfortunately, this was probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced! The waitress had an attitude the whole time, did not introduce herself to us, rolled her eyes at us, took forever to get our checks because we asked for separate checks for a party of 3. My friend ordered the grilled tilapia which was salty. I had the jollof rice with goat meat and most of meat was bone and fat. I don’t think i’ll be going back here.

If you want a unique experience go check out Aso Rock. It’s a Nigerian restaurant, bar, lounge, disco club all in one, in a retail strip off Skillman and 635. I visited on a Thursday evening around 8p and took a seat at one of the many open tables. At the bar, there were groups of people hanging out. This place is authentic. How did I know? Because I was the only non-Nigerian in there. Luckily my friend is Nigerian and also a regular, and was able to tell me what to order. Knowing that I eat spicy food, he recommended the goat pepper soup and jollof rice dish. Soup was spicy but it was a slow heat. Not sure what cuts of meat were in there and I didn’t care to know. Let’s just say you need to be adventurous to try it… oh well whatever. There’s nothing I won’t try once. Jollof rice was also good. It’s kind of like Mexican rice but better flavor and spicy. Everything was tasty. Give Aso Rock a try. If the food isn’t exciting enough for you, this place turns into a dance club at 10:00 p.m. Where else can you go for that?

Typical African Resturants, Vibrant atmosphere, a little wait on the food but that’s okay cos the food is prepared fresh. I ordered Jollof Rice, Plantain and Beef. They all tasted delicious but I must say that I am disappointed with the sizing portion of the food. especially the meat. Just 2 pieces of meat ?? All in All it’s a good place to eat…

Aso Rock Lounge is a neighborhood Nigerian restaurant and bar that also plays music and has sports on all the surrounding televisions. The food was Amazing! It’s by far the best African food that I have ever had in life. The price was right, about $ 13 per person. I ordered the mackerel and rice and MoiMoi(a bean casserole) my dining companions had goat and grilled chicken. I tried everything and it was all delicious. The service was good even though the food came out slow. I definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to try some authentic African food.
