This place is ok. Nothing special about it. Would not go there again. The service was better than the food.

Tried the shishito peppers. Just grilled with lime salt. I added fresh squeezed lime. Very good but had a little kick. Local beer brined chicken wings with habanero agave sauce with kimchi. A sweet heat great kimchi. The next one is a first. Texas steak tartare. Piquillo pepper, egg gribiche, cilantro, crustini. Awesome on the crustini. Loved the egg salad and steak tartare. Tried it with balsamic reduction and soy sauce but it masked the flavor a little to much.

Solid four stars if for nothing else but the bar and breakfast. If you are ever in the area and don’t mind a hotel restaurant get in there and try the Texas Eggs Benedict. Amazing flavor and the spice I like!

So the breakfast buffet is amazing, Included in the price are nice fresh, HUGE omelettes. It is a huge spread of food, from cereals and muffins to eggs, pancakes, potatoes. Everything you could imagine for a very reasonable price. The reason this place is getting 2 stars is because of our dinner visit. We arrived and were quickly seated, the waitress brought us our beers and then disappeared for a while. When she came back, we ordered the bbq shrimp appetizer, it was decent, very different tasting. We ordered salads which were good, but had little to no dressing on it. By this point in our meal, our beers and waters were empty, our waitress would walk by our table and not acknowledge us. Finally our dinner came out. I was very underwhelmed. $ 42 for a steak, it was small and served on top of potatoes. The steak was bland and fatty. We didn’t finish the whole meal, because at this point, we were still waiting on refills, and were quite annoyed. The restaurant was not busy, there was some sorority event going on, so lots of tables of young girls, so that may have been the issue, but even at that, we were ignored most of our dinner. We spent more time waiting on our check than we did eating our entire meal.

Okay — This restaurant is located inside the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Dallas on the first floor. We had reservations for 7:30pm however were a bit early. It didn’t matter! They were waiting on us. We were seated promptly and had one of the nicest waiters ever! He stated everything on their specialty menu for the evening and answered any/all of our questions about the menu. There were a few things we hadn’t heard of — haha.(Thanks Google!) Pros: Complimentary Valet is included as long as you get it validated. The menu is a huge variety. Wait staff very attentive. Cons: None Overall, the restaurant is very romantic. I would recommend it for any special occasion. The wine selection is pretty good, and the noise level is low — perfect for intimate talks. I’ll be returning!

Love the hotel however the brunch buffet was just okay. As a Marriott platinum I member I thought the dining experience would have been a bit nicer but it wasn’t terrible. I would definitely stay in the hotel again but would probably opt out of dining at the restaurant again.

I’ve eaten here three times and it’s always been exceptional. Great food, service to match. Even when it’s crowded, the staff stays on top of everything. Great place, especially for a hotel.

Asador is a pretty legit restaurant located just outside of downtown Dallas inside of the Renaissance Hotel. This place has fantastic décor and is really setup nicely. The food here is portioned nicely, seasoned well and just plain out delicious. This is one of those places that you wouldn’t expect to be as good as it is. Had the steak which was cooked nearly to perfection, potatoes were great and the Brussel sprouts were probably the best I’ve ever eaten. The only real knock on this place was the bartender, he was overly stressed out for no apparent reason and didn’t really treat most of the customers with any sort of respect. I would say that he needs some additional training both behind the bar and when dealing with customers. Nevertheless, this place has excellent food and is worthy of a look, just be weary of the undertrained bartender… Pros– Delicious food Décor Ambiance Brussel sprouts Menu options Wine selection Hostess Cons– Undertrained bartender Small TVs in the bar

Let me first say that the service was good. The food on the other hand was not that great. The fries were too GREASY. The seafood pasta had entirely too much sauce. Since this is the only restaurant in the hotel we will probably have to eat there again so I will stick with wings & a salad.

Asador is inside the Renaissance Hotel. It’s a pretty mellow chill place to meet and reconnect. I had my semi reunion with a couple of friends here. It was a no rush kind of meeting. Muddled by frantic search for places and unreserved spots until we finally found this. The bar and the dining area is well attended. They cater to you and wants you to have a great time. No break in service at all. Seamless and amazing. My flat iron steak was perfect! Tender, tasty and the portion was great. It came with a side of potato encased in what looked like an onion? It’s a spot if you’re interested in actually talking to someone while dining. Our little party was finally reconnected and parted ways full and satisfied from the great food and service provided by the staff. Thanks again!

I’m from out of town staying at the hotel Asador is in so I’ve been twice in a week. And for good reason. Everything was so good! First time I got chips and traditional guac and it was awesome. For dinner a friend and I split the tomato sandwich and that was also good. It wasn’t bland and the pesto sauce they added was just right. My all time favorite thing is the banana crème brûlée. It’s phenomenal. I also had the Brussels sprouts and they were amazing. The décor is nice and the service is great. Treat yourself. Go to Asador.

Asador is the hotel restaurant for the Renaissance Hotel. Ambience is nice, good lighting, very polite waitstaff. Seating is well-spaced and comfortable. I had the flatiron steak, it was cooked rare, as I requested. Liked it! The au gratin potatoes inside of the onion skin left something to be desired. Nothing unique there in flavor. I wouldnt choosw it first if there were other options close by, but its just fine if youre looking to eat close to your room!

The presentation and the decoration is better than the food itself. The good part is the salad dressing was tasty. The bad part, chicken cold and too dry, bread drenched in butter, grilled vegetable half done(sweet potato burnt and bitter on the outside, crunch inside), bacon mac&cheese too salty. The breakfast buffet is much better though. I enjoyed the omlete and the oatmeal. The sausages were very good too.

Went here for a late dinner(still in the pacific time). Ordered the grilled chicken salad and it was alright. They are really good with the grill but the salad dressing didn’t hit the mark for me, wasn’t tasty even though the vegetables were fresh. Needed a better sauce. For my co-worker he ordered the burger, it looked really good when they served it but after he started eating it, the bottom part fell apart and it was really messy. He did say it was really good.

So many hotel restaurants take advantage of a captive audience and charge exorbitant prices for poorly executed dishes. Asador refreshingly bucks the trend. I chose three small plates… veggies cassolet, brussels sprouts, and steak tartare. The roasted veggies were perfect… topped with a chimchuri sauce. The tartar was served with an egg salad and sliced bread… a great take on steak an eggs. If you’ve always hated Brussels sprouts, you have to challenge yourself and the sprouts at Asador. They are buttery good without any bitterness and served with chunks of bacon. Delectable. Service was good. Prices were reasonable. I’m a fan.

Slow to get going but once the dinner was moving the food was outstanding. The Char Bar had a wonderful selection of meets and cheeses and the wine selection, though small, was on point. We started with the Shashito Peppers, ask for sea salt. After this our entrees arrived with a side of blistered and braised Brussels sprouts that made our mouths salivate to ultimate proportions. A tomahawk Pork Chop and a baseball perfectly cooked Beef Tenderloin were given our full attention. The rustic fire taste of root vegetables with fire roasted kale and a kale pesto made the plates shine. With service being the only reason for not giving the final star, it’s definitely worth a trip for all Dallas locals and anyone venturing to our fare city. Which by the way, is cited as the best bang for you buck major city in the USA!

Had birthday dinner here with wife and group of friends on a Saturday. I liked the décor and the place was full of much older patrons(50+). Don’t expect to come here to pick up any young hotties on a Saturday, they are elsewhere. For appetizer I tried the shrimp, wings and cheese board. Best of the three would be the cheese board with pâté. Would have liked the pâté to be more grainy. Ran out of bread before the cheese and pâté. NEEDMOREBREAD. The shrimp was OK, nothing special. The wings tasted, ehhh. Where was the flavor? For the entrée I had the Kansas steak medium rare. The steak was cooked correctly, but the flavor was missing. Had to get me some Tabasco to top it off. I liked the potato squares that came with the steak, they were delicious. Had a side of Mac and cheese and it was good. I liked that they threw in some mini ham squares. As for drinks, I had a glass of wine and a shot of tequila. As some have stated, to get your shot dressed, it will cost you and extra $ 2 for salt and a dried up lime. WTF ! What establishment does this? Asador, that’s who! And as the service goes, good luck getting what you order in a timely manner. You would have to ask more than once and you will be lucky if you don’t get questioned, because the server is always right! Guest: excuse me, we are missing our brussel sprouts Server: I brought one out. Guest: they ordered one and we ordered one Server: ohh Guest: you charged us for 14 shots, we only had 13 Server: no, I remember the tray lined with a row of 6 and 6 and 1 Guest: we only counted 12 and you had to bring out 1 more Server: no I remember 13 and brought out 1 Guest: I don’t want to argue, just forget it Server: do you want me to bring 1 out to you? Guest: just forget it. What should have happened… Guest: excuse me, we are missing our brussel sprouts Server: Sorry, I’ll have one out for you or have it removed from your bill Guest: you charged us for 14 shots, we only had 13 Server: Sorry, I’ll have one out for you

We came here for Thanksgiving dinner a little while back and enjoyed our trip here. The hotel was great, decent service, and the food was amazing. The only two things I didn’t like were the lack of vegetarian options(don’t worry, they did customize a menu for us, but having soup and salad as your entrees doesn’t seem like it should count does it?) and that our server seemed a little frazzled. Poor girl, she probably was working so many shifts with tons of other customers on her mind. The restaurant did seem a little understaffed. The food was phenomenal. They did a tasting menu — an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert for $ 50. I had a panzanella salad for my starter — squash, figs, watermelon radish, on a bed of greens. Absolutely delicious. I really haven’t had as complex of a salad before and I would love to have this again soon. I had seared scallops on a bed of carrot purée for the entrée. Amazing — I really loved the addition of pomegranate seeds to the scallops. Interesting addition of texture and citrus. The dessert had something lacking — a pecan tart was a little overly sweet. Great spot and definitely enjoyed the evening.

I’ve had a lot of steak in my lifetime and I’ve traveled the world since I am a pilot! When I go to a restaurant to try their steak I am a connoisseur of sorts and know good steak from bad. THISWASBYFARTHEEEBESTSTEAK I’VEEVERHADINMYENTIRELIFE! Order the beef tenderloin and you will certainly not be disappointed I ordered my steak cooked medium and it was absolutely perfect in tenderness flavor looks style appearance and size! Service was absolutely spectacular and they paid attention to every detail For dessert the banana Brulé was simply amazing and it was a nice complement to an after dinner dessert! After a bottle of Duckhorn Merlot we found this to be one of the best experiences at a restaurant we have ever had! Thank you ass Asador!
