I went from a blonde to brunette with out a warning. Stylist did not listen to what I wanted she took out my pertty platinum blonde way and now i have to stick with being a burnette for a while till my hair repairs. I have to spend more money on products and wait longer for what i truely asked for.

I realized today that for some reason my rating was only 4 stars when I meant for it to be 5. My stubby fingers are probably to blame.

I’m in town for business and felt like getting my hair cut. The front desk assistant, Derek, fit me in at the end of day and matched me with a stylist (Lea) when I explained I needed someone who appreciated very long hair. Derek was so accommodating and professional. He made me tea, talked through some products and helped me sample a few. He’s not bubbly or excitable but I don’t care for that– he was super nice and attentive. Lea was great — professionally and personably. She took her time, heard my preferences, and talked through what she was doing to make sure I was comfortable. Her skill and personality were a perfect fit for me and my hair. The place looked great, smelled nice (like Aveda) and I was overall extremely happy. My only complaint is the storefront was a little hard to find. The best part is that both Derek and Lea knew I was only in town for business and would likely not return but they still treated me wonderfully.

Artistic Salon Spa is a great place to trust your hair to. There is always someone there to greet you and offer you a beverage. My appointment always starts on time and I’m always satisfied with the results. Also, the products used on your hair are Aveda, so it’s great quality. I have referred several friends here guys and girls all with different hair needs and everyone has been satisfied!

Staff is very welcoming, owner, Dan, is super sweet and Lauren is above the rest when it comes to highlights! Must go!!!

I’ve been going to Noël Cline for haircuts and high-​maintenance color for 20 years. He is amazing. Over the years I’ve sent friends and family to him– all have become loyal clients. Noël is a genius with color and has helped me keep my VERY light blonde shade without damage despite my naturally dark brown hair color.
I highly recommend him!

Lettie was awesome. I book an appt the mornin of a wedding and got nails, eyebrows, hair, and makeup done at a reduced cost when everyone else was booked up. They made it work for my friend and I and were so accommodating. I liked that they’re an Aveda salon & wish I had remembered to check in for my free Aveda gift!

I have long hair that takes forever to grow, so I dread getting haircuts. Colby gave me a haircut and I loved it! My layers were neater and my hair looked much healthier, but what really impressed me was how he did this without cutting off too much length. He was polite but not overly chatty, which the introvert in me greatly appreciated.

I just had the best massage experience at this spa! It is a bit difficult to find (park by Sports Authority-​Park entrance, then follow signs on wall). When you walk in it looks like a hair salon rather than a spa… but when you go in the back it is wonderful… calming music, wonderful spa scents. The locker/​restroom area is small, but has everything you need… soft plush robes, slippers, separate lockers. Jill was professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and a terrific masseuse I had a deep tissue massage and it was one of the best… if not the best deep tissue massage I have ever had! There were also nice extras… you first select a scent to enhance the massage, my feet were creamed and wrapped in a hot towel, it ended with my neck being wrapped in a hot towel. Making the appointment was easy (maybe I was just lucky here because Jill only works Friday and Saturday and had an opening when I called.) and checkout was a breeze. Everyone was polite… the place was very clean… highly recommend!

I’ve gone here a few times after an attempt to find a great Aveda salon. While it’s difficult to find in the shopping center (I get lost every time), I still manage to feel totally stress-​free when I leave. I visit Jill for a 90-​minute deep tissue. The treatment starts out with a comfy robe, a foot scrub (free), then you’re guided to the dimmed treatment room after choosing the aromatherapy scent of your choice. Definitely a diamond in the rough and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great massage with some extra complimentary features.

I used to come here to see Lisa, who has since moved on to another place. I followed her there but I also got massages from some of their massage therapists there and found their facility to be clean, relaxing and of high quality. I never had any problems with cancellations or quality as some other reviews mention.

I first used this place with a Groupon two years ago and I’ve been a very satisfied customer of the owner, Dan. He stays on schedule which is very important to me and he does a good job cutting my hair.

I love this place! The girl I use, Lauren, is wonderful! She is always professional and always makes my hair look and feel great! I’ve been pleased and highly recommend it!

CRAPPY Place!!! I got a a 55 $ worth groupon for a special day at work.
They call me the previous day saying that my appointment is cancelled coz their stylist has jury duty (seriously!!!)…they have a policy to cancel the appointment 48 hrs before scheduled time and I was not given even 24hrs notice.
Their manager Derick is useless… he hung up on me.
I see other customers have given poor rating aswell. So please, if you need pampering, this is not the place for you. You will be treated as if you are getting your treatment done for free…

Beware of going to this specific Aveda salon. The manager does not ensure the stylists keep their licenses and it shows!
The first time I went here, she made me look like I was a 5 year old with new bangs! The second time I tried this place, they left a HUGE lock of hair that never got cut!!! I couldn’t believe he just totally missed that much hair!!! I cut it off myself and decided never to go back again.
NOT WORTH IT! EVEN WITH A GROUPON!!! WHY DO YOU THINK THEY NEED A GROUPON WHEN THE OTHER AVEDA SALONS DON’T!!!

Haven’t had treatment yet will review later but young girls at check in ruin spa vibe with their abysmal presentation an caddy non-​stop chatter as they live out a facebook culture behind the counter.
After sitting down, everyone else arriving is asked if they want something to drink, I wonder why that question was skipped for me and imagine it is likely because I was a new customer because the next two people seemed to recognize the short haired girl behind the counter. Strike two.
Waited 20 minutes to be seen. Strike three.
Here’s what I’d teach them if I ran the place: Sometimes people come into spas to repair, and or heal. If they (young girls behind the counter) maintained the baseline level of reverence– the check-​in would not have been so abrupt.
THEN I have the best massage– which will change my star ratings by one and redeem the salon some– but entire presentation is a big deal and the welcoming team are the face to the salon/​spa which I imagine thinks of itself more of a salon.
I’ve been to spas all over the map and the spa experience is different vibe than this place.
Don’t think I’ll go back — but I will follow massage therapist –Deanna-​to see if she switches locations.

I’m a personal assistant to a young man who needed his hair relaxed and bleached. After calling many salons and speaking with many stylists I came across Artistic. I called and asked about the relaxer service and was passed along to speak with marquita who seemed very confident and got right on the phone and said she could do the job and a relaxer is not a difficult service.(Which is funny because it is the MOST difficult) I also asked if she could do the Bleach with the relaxer and she said yes. I made an appointment to see her in person and discuss his hair and how he likes it and pricing. After we sat down she assured me that she could do the job and booked the appointments. The salon is in a older building and looks like it has been remodeled and his tucked away in the back. It looks much like an outdated version of other Aveda style salons. In spite of the décor, I felt the girl could do the job. When arriving at the salon, Marquita greeted my boss and had him put a smock on (which were in the restrooms and not a designated changing area which most high end salons have) She went and got the relaxer ready and started the service.
The problems were 3 one she did not put a damage remedy to help the hair. two she put the setter on the roots and not on the full hair and didn’t set it and three… There was a roach in the area where the sinks are. Marquita admitted to the old style chairs (cheep) and her sally beauty supply (cheep) flat irons. On a service this extreme and investing as a stylist it’s so important to have the best tools. she half way gave him a style out and charged him. The next week he noticed the curls were still in places in his hair and that he was having some Major damage and breakage. I called to speak with Marquita and ask what went wrong, She left a message and said the relaxers must of interacted and next time she was just have to adjust it, not taking any ownership for her poor job. She never got back with me after that and still assumed My boss (who she referred to as my boyfriend on many occasions) would come in for highlights after her mishap. The job cannot be reversed… it has to grow out. I did however call and speak with a manger that refunded My bosses card, he however couldn’t refund a healthy status of hair. Staff is friendly, but they over charge and under deliver. The prices didn’t match the salon. She was charging as if it were a high end salon in uptown that delivered the best results. By the way Marquita mean «dedicated to mars» which seems in line with the service she preformed. As a result, my job was put in jeopardy… and that’s not cool!

Being a massage therapist, I have very high standard when it comes to choosing my therapist. I have been seeing Kumi Clampitt at Artistic Spa for a while now and she does amazing work and it gets better with every visit. Her knowledge is impeccable and her pressure is just what i want/​need.
Go and ask for Kumi, you won’t be sorry.

I’ve been going to Artistic Salon Spa since I was a little girl and I’ve never had a bad experience. Dan, the owner, has been cutting my hair since i was six years old and he always works with you and listens to what you want to do with your hair. Sometimes I let him do whatever he wants! Lisa is great with waxing and facials, I always feel so relaxed after! She’s also great to talk to and makes you feel comfortable. Everyone is always really talkative. I’ve gotten probably every service they offer, from massages, haircuts, mani-​pedis to waxing and facials, and have always left above and beyond satisfied. And since the makeover, I think the salon looks great!

I’m an Aveda user. Love their skin care products and getting into the make up line has been pretty great too. So I was excited to find an Aveda salon where I could stock up on products and indulge in their services as well without having to deal with the parking hassles of the mall or the muss and fuss of the high end «Spas» in town.
My experience from booking online, to follow up after my appointment was spot on first rate. Lisa’s facial was fantastic. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the product line, and left me feeling like she cared about my experience and follow up unlike some «destination spas» I’ve experienced in the past.
The atmosphere is that of a salon and while they do their best to create a spa environment; for those in for more than just a hair cut, this location isn’t going to make you forget you are in Dallas in a Salon. But you will get your money’s worth, receive a top notch service and walk out gleaming and feeling refreshed.
I’m looking forward to going back in January for another facial.
