My parents were involved in a bad car accident in Dalhart recently. They, thankfully, are fine. Their car – not so much. Totaled. The nearest airport and car rental place is 88 miles away in Amarillo.
No problem for Dalhart. I called the Chamber to see if there were regional transit options and the woman answering the phone offered to take them that afternoon. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this town.
