It was alright. They call themselves a «Mexican restaurant». The found is not authentic and it’s way over price for what the serve. The servers took forever to get to my table. Over not impress, I felt like I was at a Taco Bell.

It’s good. Nothing to really set themselves apart from other Mexican restaurants. Good homemade sakes but the chips should be served warm., always. Mine were not even room temperature. They were cold. Beef taco was a little greasy but decent flavor. Chile relleno was also oily but okay flavor. I ordered chicken burrito but got chicken enchilada… Only okay. I also ordered one chile toreado but the server said they only came in an order of six. Bummer! However, he saved the day a snagged me one. A+ for that effort. It blazed too. I’d come back but no raves.

We loved the food but BEAWARE of waiter who charges 18% gratuity for party of 2 didn’t realize until we got home and we also gave him a tip, so this waiter got a $ 15.00 tip on $ 36.00 bill. What a scam this waiter has going! My fault for not checking bill before paying! We will go there again but I won’t accept this waiter and I will double check my bill.

They would have got five stars, but when we got the bill, I noticed that some of the items were more expensive than they were listed as on the menu. I didn’t say anything but they need to update the menu if it doesn’t show the current prices. Excellent salsa and plenty of it brought to our table. Very good chips. My wife got the vegetable enchiladas which was one bean, one cheese and one spinach. She said they were very good but they looked pretty skinny to me and didn’t come with beans or rice. I had the sandwich which was basically a Cuban that isn’t pressed. It too was very good but if it was pressed I think it would be awesome. All four of us were very happy with the experience. Great service.

Staff is very good– food is also very good. Close 2nd to my my first pick of local restaurants. Very good salsa and chips — a little on spicy side but that’s what my wife and I both like .both ouur entrees were very good– as reported in another ost about them adding on 20% gratuity –not true

Warning… the add an 18% tip on the bill without telling you. If you donr looj closely you may double tip like we did. The waiter got a $ 12.00 tip for a $ 2.00 service. Been going here with my family since 2008. Service nice and frienfly. Place is clean. Food is excellent except… the portions have decreased drastically yet the prices went up. No longer a great value but we still go just not as often.

My wife and I are on a mini vacation for some wine tours and we stopped here for lunch today. We are usually skeptical of Mexican restaurants because they aren’t always that great. We were pleasantly surprised! The food here was excellent. Homemade salsa was delicious with a hint of spice. I ordered the speedy Gonzales lunch dish and while it is really simple, the flavor was great. Taco, enchilada, rice and beans. My wife ordered a salad dish that was fantastic. It came with a side of fried plantains that were wonderful. Like candy! The service was quick and polite. I would highly recommend this place over most in the downtown Dahlonega area. Don’t let the same star level of other places fool you!

Very good service. But… the chips were stale and the food was just okay. Of course, I’ve yet to find truly GREAT Mexican food in N. GA.

Great Mexican food and service! Amazing guacamole as well as seasoned chicken in soft taco. My husband ordered the Super Burrito and enjoyed it too. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Stopped by for lunch last week. What a great spot! Our server was fantastic! So friendly and sweet. We were given chips and salsa to munch on. Both were delicious. We ordered house margaritas on the rocks and were not disappointed. We chose from lunch menu. Both ordered burrito dish. I ordered chicken and my husband got beef. Both came with rice. We were blown away with how good they were. We came out with our bellies full and we will definitely return in the future if in the area.

Fantastic! Friendly and fast service, good prices, and delicious food. They make a wonderful salsa and they recently added even more options to their already large menu. Check out the new taco dinners! I had the fish tacos and they were wonderful!

UPDATE — After having had the paella at two locations and experiencing Italian sausage in the dish at both locations, I placed a call to the corporate office. I spoke to Laura who was more than gracious and accommodating with my complaint and thanked me for bringing this discrepancy to her attention. I got the impression from her that they would fix the problem and add chorizo to the paella(as is stated on the menu) instead of Italian sausage. FAIL. We dined there a few nights ago and while we got great service from our favorite server(Austen), we were once again served Italian sausage in the paella. Here’s the thing… the menu states that it comes with chorizo AND they have chorizo in the restaurant, so why don’t they serve it as it should authentically be served? Nothing like noshing on some great Mexican flavor profiles and then biting into sage and fennel. It just doesn’t work with that dish. C’mon Pueblos, either change the menu to reflect Italian sausage or put chorizo in the paella already!

The food was really good and so were the drinks. That should be about enough but I will give more details. I had the combination number 7 that came with two burritos and a tamale. I opted for the shredded chicken. The food, though not mind-blowing delicious was pretty good, and as far as Mexican food goes this was pretty tasty. It was not drenched in sauce and cheese which is a plus and the meat was flavored nicely. Let’s go back to the Mexican food being drenched in sauce and cheese for a second. Why do so many Mexican restaurants feel like it is OK to slather cheese and sauce over everything on your plate? It’s so gross and who wants to bound up all day after having a meal. OK focus. Pueblos was really nice, I definitely enjoyed my frozen margarita. It was delicious. I also tried the Mole enchilada which was pretty nice on the taste buds. My sister did not like the flour tortilla that came with the fajita at all. She said it was gross and decided not to eat it in order to save her the extra calories on food that did not give her any enjoyment. It is kind of like being in a relationship that is going no where. At one point, you have to just stop and say what’s the point. The service was excellent by the way. Overall, I will return to Pueblos. It is worth the visit.

We were able to bring our dog onto the porch! Very friendly staff, and amazing food! Some authentic and different dishes along with the standard dishes. We will be back for sure and will sing the praises of Pueblos to everyone!

Good chip and salsa. Guacamole had to many onions. Had combo #3 bean and rice was fantastic. Salsa on the enchilada and the burrito was lacking.

Eric was kind to let me use the restroom and refill my water while I was on a post cycling run in Dahlonega. I assured him that I would come back to eat as a patron afterwords. I returned 30min later to eat and asked what kind of Mexican food they served and he told me «Southern Mexican». I then asked what he recommended and he said«Choripollo» a ground sausage chicken onions beens and rice dish that was spectacular. I’ve had loads of good Mexican food both in the US and in several states in Mexico and this was up there at the top. Choripollo was great and the service too was fantastic.
