I paid $ 30 for the application. Once I received the acceptance letter they forced me to pay a $ 200 deposit fee in order to proceed and register for classes. The $ 200 is refundable only after attending classes for 10 days. I was hesitant about paying it because first, I’ve never heard of any college charging such a fee but also because my financial aid and request for in-state tuition was not granted yet but it was the only way that I was able to register for fall classes early. I then had to pay another $ 50 for registration which I thought was ridiculous. The $ 50 dollars included early registration, a nylon bag, pen, t-shirt, and lunch voucher. My first red flag was when I went to lunch prior to registration and the 2 employees in the cafeteria were talking about me in front of my face. I complained about them and they offered me a free lunch voucher to use at another time. After registering for classes and getting my schedule done, I had to wait for my invoice 2 weeks which showed I had a balance of over $ 10,000 for one semester… red flag number 2. A month and half later, after I replied to several emails, went in person, and called, I finally got a response that my in-state tuition was denied because my car was registered in PA yet I have been living in GA for 5 yrs. I submitted my taxes, deed to my home, and my business license which shows I have been in business for the last 3 yrs but was still denied because I refused to register my car in GA. I was told it was a school policy. Basically, the school is interested more about collecting money than their reputation and students. So now I lost my money and can’t go to school because of where I choose to register my car. But I’m a Georgia resident and got accepted for financial aid. Wow! Never experienced anything like that in NY. Welcome to Hotlanta!

I graduated from North Georgia wih my bachelor and master degrees in the field of education. I loved attending this college, had super teachers that have become life long friends, and earned a quality education at an affordable price. I highly recommend this college to future students.
