This place is absolutely beautiful. We just came for facials at the Spa. Wish we were staying here. I may have to make a special trip up here from FL just to stay. The grounds are gorgeous. We arrived early and we relaxed outside. The hosts are very welcoming. The facial was very relaxing. If you are planning on a trip to Dahlonega do yourself a favor and stay here.

My wife Laura and I have stayed here several times and we plan to keep coming back. This is a wonderful Inn for any travelers, but for those who live near Atlanta it is perfect. Just over an hour’s drive and you are in the mountains, so this is THE place we go when we can only take off a few days and need some R&R. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate. The grounds are spectacular and I defy you to not have a drop in blood pressure during your stay. The breakfasts are amazing, and we often can get by without a lunch. The owners, David and Dennis know the area well and can provide any information you need during your visit, such as great restaurants in Dahlonega. They are also great people to just chat with. Not sure what else you would want… this is all we need. Love the place!

Love this place! Great inn and awesome friends! This is the one of the best places James and I have ever stayed! The owners, Dennis and David, are the kindest guys in the business. They think of every little detail! There were three of us couples, and we all had a great visit! Actually, I have already made our reservations for next year!

We spent a weekend here at the Mountain Laurel Creek Inn and Spa and can’t say enough good things about it. The bed and breakfast itself is so quaint and charming. The Parlor Room was immaculately clean as well and warm and welcoming. I’d read so much about how wonderful the bedsheets were, and I was not disappointed!(It may have been one of the first things I checked out as soon as I got into the room.) The view from the Parlor Room was beautiful — you overlook the B&B’s yard and can see the mountains outside your porch and window. David and Dennis were fantastic hosts. And although it was a weekend of relaxation and rest for us(as well as a chance to see the wineries!), we woke ourselves up at 8:30AM to make sure we didn’t miss the breakfast. The early rise was well worth it. Each morning we had a gourmet breakfast that was not only healthy, but delicious. I overheard a few of the couples talk about how they’d been going to this B&B for years now, which doesn’t surprise me in the least, as I don’t think I’ve ever been to one as nice or friendly. I can’t wait to get back here, perhaps in the fall to see the changing of the leaves and stay in another room. Thanks again to Dennis and David for making our romantic weekend a wonderful experience.

I went with my wife for an excellent Friday night. The food, the room, the bed and the service were all just as excellent as everyone is saying here, so I’ll list a few of the other things we really liked: — Their bar, the«Copper Penny Pub» was tiny and just the perfect kind of hotel bar. We played darts and listened to Pandora on our phone using the free wifi(but I don’t think they had wifi in our room — it’s for the best). — Friday afternoon, we bought a couple of splits of champagne and Dennis gave us some orange juice so we could have mimosas in one of their outdoor hangout spots. They have enough of them to allow guests to either be social or be secluded. — Their website really is helpful, especially the«things to do» section. We had dinner at the Crimson Moon at the town square, after walking around and looking at the other restaurants’ menus. Many good choices. — I left my phone charger in the room and by the time I got around to emailing to ask for it, it was already in the mail. It seems this is typical of just how things are done there. A couple of things they could work on: — It would be nice if they could maintain their long gravel driveway better. — The wifi was pretty spotty, and in 2012 I think it would have been nice in the rooms.

The Mountain Laurel Inn & Spa is truly one of the Appalachian’s gems. We have traveled from Minnesota twice now to experience refreshing stays at this inn and to enjoy the beauty of the Appalachians in the Fall. No matter what time of day or night you arrive at the inn, you will be greated with a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. Visually, the property’s charm and décor invite you to ‘come and stay a while’. We have visited twice in the fall and arrived once during the day and once at night. During the day, we were greeted by a gentle landscape, well-kept, but not overly landscaped. The flora and fauna of the mountain are a feast for the eyes as well as a calming influence for the soul. When we arrived at night, we were greeted by a gently lit deck and outside seating area that invited us to relax and enjoy the outside water-feature or come inside and open our door to the outside and listen to the still night sounds of the mountain outside. In the morning, we were welcomed to breakfast by David, who cooked up a feast that carried us well through lunch time, but also gave us the urge to hike as we anticipated more yummy breakfasts. Returning to the inn after dinner, we learned quickly not to order desert while we were out because there was always some yummy confection waiting for us when we arrived in the afternoon/evening hours. David and Dennis, our gracious and unpretentious hosts, made our stay at the inn enjoyable and provided us with the information we needed to enjoy the activities of our choice in the area. While there, my husband and I also enjoyed a very relaxing couples massage at the spa and definitely recommend taking advantage the opportunity to get a massage and then go up to the room for a ‘nap’ after being so relaxed. Room Tip: David personally decorated all the rooms very ecclecticly in a style that reflects his personal sense of style and taste. You will not get a bad room here. We tried to select a different room this time when we visited but all other rooms were booked so we ended up staying in the same room we had previously stayed in. Then we realized that it wasn’t the rooms themselves we loved so much but the overall feel of the inn and the ambiance that David and Dennis have so lovingly created. If you need a firm mattress, ask for it when you register. Our matress was a little soft, but still very comfortable. Some people, however, have a need for a firmer matress because of back issues.

We have stayed in several B&B over the years and this place is at the top of our list. Very peaceful and relaxing if you are looking to get away from it all. I was really impressed with the food and the service that was provided without the feel of being imposed upon. From the private rooms to the common areas they were all uniquely decorated but most of all comfortable.

Beautiful location. Rooms are large and well decorated. Bed was perfect for me, but a bit soft for my partner. Breakfasts were not only tasty but beautifully presented. Owners were very friendly and helpful
