Pretty good place to stay in a great central location of Dahlonega. Close to UNG, the square, and a short drive from tons of wineries. Your typical HIE stay in my opinion. There are views of the mountains and views of a gas station so if that is something important to you double check. Breakfast was decent, seating area kind of tight but people were flowing in and out fine. Didn’t explore the pool area but saw people going in and out.

The mountain side of the building was our choice. Third floor. Sunsets sat in front of the window. Memories tho take home.

The stay here was adequate. Very friendly check in with nice upgrade to a spacious two room suite and a great view. Just happened to be here same time as a wedding party which made for a noisy pool scene otherwise no issues and would stay again. Also breakfast area is smaller than average for HIE and seating was at a premium.

This place is ok, but I expected better. Me and my family stayed in a suite. But it definitely didn’t feel like no suite. The couch was not a pull out which forced me to sleep on the floor. The bath water was brown and the shower was loud. I was told that I was getting a military discount which I haven’t received and I’m still working on. It’s definitely not worth the price. But the staff was understandable and friendly.

After traveling over 700 miles to get here for a bike race, front desk attendant informed us that we cannot bring our bikes into the room. We have to leave them in a conference room. Big Bummer! No thanks.

Not too bad for the availability on Labor Day weekend. Staff was friendly on check out. Breakfast was typical for a Holiday Inn Express. Hotel had signs posted that it was undergoing improvements so we may check back to see if it’s more modern. Pool and landscaping was nice. It’s located next to a Shell gas station that had an eclectic mix of «stuff» for sale.

Stayed here a couple of nights for a wedding at nearby beautiful Wolf Mountain Vineyard. My first impression came from an older woman who seemed to practically live at the front desk and every interaction with her she came across as abrasive and distant. No customer service skills at all. No «Thank you» and no pleasantries, cold business attitude, and she seemed to talk down to me. Without a second thought she gave me a $ 200 plus room per night. The view from the room was nice. I could even see the gold roof from the Memorial building against the mountains backdrop. The room was very spacious. Overall a bit pricy though.

Uncomfortable mattress, AC so loud we couldn’t sleep with it on. We checked out literally at the crack of dawn. Would only stay there if we needed to get off the road and there were no other choices. Amazingly parking lot was packed. Front desk person was very pleasant.
