Fishkiller’s Lobster Shack

Yum! Come for the lobster roll! Delish every time! Fish tacos are just as excellent! Wish they had a inside seating area because the food is excellent but if the weather is right, not a big deal.

Amazing fish tacos and lobster rolls. Plus an added bonus, the best hand cut fries around. Simply an amazing little fish shack with a great stress less atmosphere. A must stop is you are passing by and we’ll worth the drive if not

Passed this shack on our way into Bethany Beach from the inland route. Knew I had to go back and try it, especially after I read the reviews. I was not disappointed. I ordered the lobster roll (on a hamburger roll, not the croissant, next time I will try the croissant). It was full of lobster, fresh and delicious! I could do without the potato chips. A little pricey (though not as pricey as the Bethany Beach boardwalk), but a unique offering and worth trying!

Great idea. Put a trailer on a busy road heading to the beach. Sell fresh lobsters, lobster related goodies, great fish tacos and coconut shrimp. Provide good service and prices. Who could resist? Way to go Fishkillers!

This was a good experience. The lobster salad is excellent. Although, I wasn’t a fan of the croissant, so I got a hamburger bun, my other family member got it in a wrap. It would have been much better if it was on a brioche bun or even a kaiser roll. The seafood combo was great too. We will be back!

Delicious Lobster Rolls, Friendly Service, and an efficient staff– what more could you ask for?
The lobster is super fresh and the croissants they serve the lobster roll on is delicious. A little pricey but it’s worth it.
I would like this place to stay a secret but I will be a good little Unilocal Elite and share this awesome spot with all of you!

Went there for lunch today. My wife got the fish tacos. Made from fresh sea bass that they caught. I got the lobster roll which was fabulous. We shared the fritters. They left a little to be desired. Both entrees with fritters and 2 sodas was $ 35.00. We’ll worth the money. Short hours. 11 – 8 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday only.

This place has A LOT of potential… but has some quirks to work out first.

Pros:
1. Price point ($ 14). Win.
2. Lobster tastes fantastic.
Cons:
1. Organization: I arrived and a lot of folks were waiting around for their orders. The bros in the truck were trying to quickly get orders together but it looked like a mess. I patiently waited behind one person ordering. Five minutes to swipe a credit card. Lady swiping credit card leaves and I wait longer. Thought about throwing in the towel. She came back a few minutes later and asks if I’m waiting to order… facepalm.
2. Pre-​made: I waited for 10 minutes to order however my lobster roll was handed over to me in 30 seconds. Wait, what?
3. Bread: My lobster roll arrived on a somewhat soggy croissant. Not sure why it’s called a lobster roll if it ain’t even on a roll. Stick to the basics, toasted brioche roll. Rookie mistake.
4. Celery: Missing in action. Oh no you di’int.
I’d like to try more on the menu, and I think I will give it another shot. Maybe I was just there on an off day.
I’ll update this once I have the chance to return.

In all fairness, I’m a DC food truck snob. That being said, this place was good but not great…
The people were super nice but the food took a longer time than any food truck should at 20 – 25 minutes.
The burger was seasoned well but I THINK they used a frozen patty.
The fried shrimp was absolutely delicious. Perfectly crispy breading, great juicy shrimp inside.
Boardwalk fries were fries, neither crispy nor soft, just kind of in between and dry.
Finally, the soft crab sandwich was edible but a little more tough than I expected. I’m not familiar with crab, however, so that may be standard.
All in all I’d stop by on my way back to the beach and recommend trying the shrimp or the lobster roll.

If you are seeking great seafood north of O C, this is terrific. Interesting décor, great service and food. The view is of N Assawoman. The hostess seemed a bit cranky or stressed at lunch. We had a party of six and everyone enjoyed their meal. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of desserts. Great hit with the family and we will return.

Phenomenal lobster roll and great fish tacos. Farther east on 26 than the GPS/​map indicated.
