City Trattoria

First visit to this place. Really wanted it to be good, sadly though we (party of 4) found little to cheer about. The place is centrally located though I suspect at times parking could be a problem. Cozy dining room with large windows give the place a bright look with kind of rustic décor but any restaurant is only as good as the food it serves and City Trattoria didn’t quit make it with us. Don’t get me wrong the portions are generous and the presentation is good and prices are modest but there was an inconsistencie in taste that was troublesome. I found the red sauce bland and it wasn’t served piping hot. The chicken parmigiano was generous and tender but again lacking «Italian flavor. The rest of my party had similar complaints. Too bad. Maybe I’ll give it another try in a few weeks.

Wonderful meal, wanderful people. This is what Dade City needed, good people creating great Italian food.

We just finished a Taste of Italy here — it was fabulous! I highly recommend it. What a great date night option. The homemade sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Ask for Anthony, he’ll take good care of you.
