Tri County Barns & Trailer Sales

Tri County Barns is an authorized dealer of MD Barnmaster buildings, which are constructed of excellent quality materials; however, they are at the high end of the price range. I had Tri County construct a separate barn/​garage for me when I built my house, and was satisfied with the building and the work done by the construction crew.
Recently, I wanted to purchase the materials for a pasture shelter and construct the building myself, and contacted Tri County again. This was not a satisfying experience for a few reasons:
— they were difficult to reach by phone and didn’t respond for days to emails,
— the price was the most expensive of all options I was considering,
— after paying for the building, they tried to charge me an additional $ 1000 for an error in their shipping estimate,
— the building they sent did not match the building I requested, even though the building I requested is featured on their website and I sent them the photo of it in my request,
— they provided no schematics or instructions on how to construct the building,
— after multiple requests, they supplied a parts list and a sketch showing the overall size of the building (not helpful), then stopped responding altogether to further questions about how to construct the building.
Bottom line: After some internet research, we did get the building up and I am satisfied with the materials quality. However, if you are a DIY’er, I do not recommend Tri County/​MD Barnmaster. Find a supplier who provides support for you and has good customer service.
