Been going here since my daughter was born. Fast service, never to busy except on holidays. Employees are always friendly and very attentive. Now eating healthier than ever. Will continue to come till I’m old. Gave 4 stars because service is slow on festive days.

The wait from the hostess to our booth was good but we sat there over 10 minutes and were never greeted by our server. There were 4 tables around us open that got seated way after us and were greeted and orders were placed. Sorry but if the servers are overwhelmed even informing the guest they will be with them as soon as they can will help customer service maybe even having bussers get drinks started could help if there are no tables to clean. Needless to say we walked out, too bad because I really wanted to try those commercialized pancakes and I tip pretty good too!

We went at a good time. Seated right away. The coffee was not very hot. For $ 2.99 a person, you can get the whole pot of coffee at your table. I guess that will minimize the service for them to refill your coffee. The pancake was good and there are different flavored syrups. The place inside is very clean.

Im only giving one star because it doesnt allow me to have no stars. The crepes and pancakes are horrible and soggy, the muffins came out burnt and the waitress didnt know what egg substitute is(even though it clearly is written on the menu) on top of that the fruit was horrible and old and it was just a nasty exp. The host Alex was horrible too. He gave a bad vibe from the attitude he had. If he didnt want a job he should give it to someone who wants it. The only person who was performing was the manager. She was on top of it and took care of the bill. Other than that we are going to go to pollys because theres better food and better service.

We came to this IHOP at 4991 Lincoln Ave., Cypress, CA at 12 noon on Sunday, March 7, 2016 because our friends from out of state wanted to go to a pancake restaurant. The place was packed but we only had to wait about 15 minutes to get a booth by the window in front. MIGUEL G. Was our waiter and he was pretty busy running around the place. We ordered three coffees at $ 2.99 each and one ice tea at $ 3.09. Two men both ordered the senior rise and shine two eggs hashbrowns and sausage $ 7.99 each. Our friends wife ordered the French toast Brioche $ 10.29. The wife ordered the Philadelphia cheesesteak $ 10.29 which turned out to be lousy. The bun and the meat tasted old. Instead of steak it was strips of some kind of old roast beef. This is not good. The other orders turned out to be OK but not real great. If you just want a breakfast meal and only order the senior specials this place will be just fine. But if you order something off the menu that’s not a special you’re going to be overpaying for ordinary food that’s overpriced. The total bill for the four of us came to $ 53.26. A little overpriced. This three-star rating is strictly for our waiter MIGUEL E. Who was a little overworked with the crowd on a busy Sunday, but still did a pretty good job. John M.

Visiting from Colorado, we joined our fellow Unilocalers for a late breakfast. Busy place, all tables full. Plenty of free parking, always a plus. Our waitress Lily was very nice and our order was correct, a couple of 55+ specials. A little perturbed at the $ 1.99 up-charge for 2 pumpkin pancakes(for mom), but all in all, a great meal. We’ll return a few more times to this location before heading back home in 2016. The shop at Beach/LaPalma(walking distance from Knott’s) is way too busy/too small to be enjoyable.

Okay, so you either like IHOP or ya don’t. For us that do and have been eating at ihops since we were kids, this location is one of the good ones. Is it busy? Usually. Is the service good? It’s usually very good to excellent. Is the serving time good? It varies depending on how crowded it is. Is it quiet? No, it’s ihop! Duh, families come here. Coffee? Decent(not for snobs) and endless with French vanilla creamer. Are the portions good? They are average. If you tell the server you are sharing they will split the plate in the kitchen. Nice touch along with Cholula hot sauce, salsa and to go cups for coffee upon request. Are most of the patrons happy here? I saw a lot of smiles this Sunday morning so something is good here. If you want a hipster breakfast, use Unilocal and go somewhere else and don’t complain. It’s an IHOP but one of the best ones around.

I’ve been to this IHOP twice now and both times the service was terrible. Our waitress was very nice but it took 35 minutes just to get our food, we had to ask for refills on our drinks more than two times and had to ask for our check. The food was good but I probably won’t be coming back to this location.

Waitress was very pleasant. Food service extremely slow. Took 20 mins for plain stack of pancakes to be served. The coffee was terrible. It was like drinking brown water with no taste.

Good food but no more cash register at the door you have to wait for the waitress to pay and was very slow to get change back next time I will make sure I have exact amount for the bill so I don’t have to wait a long time for my change

Typical ihop. Expensive, portions adequate. Family oriented. Mostly breakfast. Other meals not very good. Usually very crowded on weekends in am

This place is alway busy, but it’s a predictable place to go to. You know what to expect and what you like to orde. My husband and I come here when we can’t think of any place to go to for breakfast. Service has always been on point and food is good. The wait isn’t that bad when it gets crowded. Maybe 15 minutes of wait time.

Food was fine, I’m assuming because it was Christmas Eve the employees were a bit anxious to leave or what not. I don’t think I can ask for unreasonable enthusiasm, but at least provide some service and not neglect the customers. Merry Christmas

My dad came to town to visit me for Father’s day, and this IHOP was the closest location to where he was staying. As it was a holiday, we knew that it would obviously be super busy, so I can’t complain about the wait. It was nice that the guy that seated us was really personable. There was also a young woman that was very attentive to us, even though she wasn’t our waitress, and brought over flavored coffee creamer when she overheard that I liked them. The only negative: we expected to wait for a table, as it was Father’s day, but once we were seated it took an additional 15 minutes before anyone came over to ask for our drink order. But the rest of the experience was pleasant.

IHOP is pretty busy on Easter, but we got a table quickly. Nobody came to get our drink order for about 5 minutes, but that was sort of understandable based on the fact that the restaurant was packed. There was a clown circulating making balloon characters at a price. He was good, better, relatively, than the food, We split an order of Grain ‘n’ Nut pancakes with a side of cinnamon apple compote. The compote is an extra 2 smackers. My wife wanted an OJ. It was 3 clams. That’s Vitamin C extortion. The pancakes were good, not great. Overall, I think it’s a satisfactory breakfast/brunch joint, but I would never recommend IHOP as a gustatorial destination.

I should have known better. It was a Saturday night, and the place was dead. Only people at four tables. Should have walked, but sat and had decent service, even there we saw only a few servers, with kitchen looking empty. Food wasn’t anything special. To this point it was just a bland meal. The bad marks come for the eventual food poisoning we both felt. She woke up at 3am with major stomach cramps, and I had them a few hours later. Neither of us had anything else to eat. I can only guess it was the eggs. Next time I see such a dead location, I’ll move on… unless it’s a road side stop at 3am.

Screeching halt. Hold the phone. Back it up. Re-write time. For the last week we had to eat breakfast away from home. Three outta’ 5 days we chose IHOP because of their tasty $ 5.99 breakfast. Something good happened since our last visit in August. This time… Scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. Easy over eggs, perfectly browned, with yolk delectably runny. YUM. Bacon crisp and sausage juicy. Pancakes. Ate them without syrup. Melted in my mouth. Toast. Buttered. For real. Overall, great improvement since our visit in August. Shout out to Ana, who made sure our OJ and coffee came before the meal, and checked on us periodically for additional needs. Way to go, IHOP!

Best iHop I’ve been to so far! It’s so, so clean here. and this location seems to be quite bigger than what I’m used to seeing of iHop, like the one on Orangethorpe in Fullerton. The service was great as well; the employees were very sweet and friendly. I ordered their cinnamon apple pancakes which came with hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, and 2 sausage links. The cinnamon apple pancakes were quite decent. I should probably just stick to the classic buttermilk pancakes from now on though. This isn’t any fault on the restaurant or anything, it’s just a personal preference of mine when it comes to pancake flavors. I just simply wanted to try something new so I went for the cinnamon apple ones. I also got the caramel hot chocolate which was made just right. My friend was a bit worried that it’d be too caramel-y but it sure wasn’t! It was perfect and very delicious! I think this will be the iHop I’ll be going to from now on when the semester isn’t in session.
