Gambino’s Pizza

Good pizza and a good owner who supports the community. Definitely better than the chain pizza places.

Outside of our Polynesian being a bit slimmer in profile than a Dominos pizza, the Gambino’s pizza arrived to our house in Cypress Park 45 minutes after order ICE COLD, including a chilly 6-​piece (soft fat with a good amount of bbq sauce, not crispy in the least) wing order we immediately microwaved. Sorry, pizza toppings are tasty but have an unseasoned chewy, bland crust, which, since it wasn’t mildly hot upon arrival on Saturday night, we won’t reorder. A $ 30 order arrived unhappily and entirely cold. We still tipped more than 15% to our driver.

In my opinion, THE BEST pizza in Texas! My family and I recently moved to Cypress and were referred to Gambino’s by an employee of the moving company that moved our furniture. What a fantastic suggestion!
I’ve never been disappointed with the food or delivery service (have only ordered for delivery, have not been to the restaurant). They’ve always gotten our large delivery orders correct. They offer a variety of pizzas on their menu too. The pizza is fresh, loaded with toppings, with a flavorful crust, and always delivered hot. Their calzones are delicious and served with 2 sauces. (Ask for double marinara and skip the white sauce, which tastes like a thin, not-​so-​good caesar dressing!)
They’re a little bit more expensive than the chain pizza restaurants, but the food is so much better. I don’t mind paying a little more for that.

The pizza is great… way better than the major chains in the area… until you walk into the place. It’s completely disgustingly filthy inside. Makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen :(if not for that, I would have given 5 stars.

I took my son here for a mommy/​son night. The food was amazing! I had a calzone and he had a personal size pizza. We both had drinks, our bill was only $ 14. Great price. Girl working there was friendly and helpful. Bad part… the interior of this place is a little lacking! Very dirty looking, busted up tables, ripped seats, and little nats flying all around! Yuck! I should have just gotten the food to go.

This pizza was so good. The toppings are huge, they put a lot of cheese as is and the crust is super soft. Best pizza we have had in a long time.

Not to quote The Goonies, but this isn’t the sort of place you go to the bathroom!!! You come for the PIZZA ROLLS and homemade marinara. And then leave. Seriously. The place is clean but TINY with miscellaneous décor. It’s more of a drive thru/​pick up kind of place to the Fairfield people. The pizza is good/​okay/​fair. They will load you up on toppings. I will say that much, but it’s nothing to go out of the way for. I come for the pepperoni pizza rolls. Yummy! Skip the white sauce that tastes like a bad Caesar dressing and get extra marinara. Watch out! They DO run out. I mentioned this place was mom & pop’s kind of small right? But who picks up pizza for the décor anyway? If you’re craving something non-​chain, give it a try! Might surprise you with a nice 3 – 4 star experience.

So I gave this place 2 chances after reading some of the reviews on facebook/​yelp and I was disappointed both times. The people there are really nice but the pizza just hasn’t been any good. I may try again one day but for now I’ll stick to one of the chain places.

This was our first time to try Gambinos! I loved it! The Bacon pizza was AMAZING! The staff was friendly and so nice beats any other delivery and pizza!!!

Well, we’re from out of town and used Unilocal!reviews to pick this place out and I really was expecting AMAZING from the reviews. Sadly, it was anything BUT amazing.
The food was okay (something you might be able to make yourself). My mom liked her Hawaiian pizza but I had a «calzone.» I use that term lightly because it was really glorified breadsticks – the tomato sauce comes on the side?! But really the biggest downers was the interior, cleanliness, and customer service.
From the outside it looks like a quaint little spot but it is seriously lacking inside. Dirty, busted booth chairs, and a really outdated look… But wait, there’s more! When we sat down our eyes began to water… And they did, throughout the whole visit. We thought it might have been a chemical they used… But must not have used on the seating areas because they were pretty «yuck.»
As far as customer service, we went around 4 o’ clock on a weekday and the only people working were some teen boys. And the one taking our order was less than knowledge about their menu. We asked him to suggest ingredients to put in our calzone and he responded dully, «I don’t know I’ve never had one before.» No sales pitch, no attempt to try and help. But I do think it could have been his lack of experience and youthful age. And lastly, as we left not a single employee acknowledged or thanked us or said «goodbye.» Coming from a group of Texans (we’re supposedly some of the nicest people around?) that is pretty shocking.
In summary: pretty good/​okay pizza for a slightly expensive price, needs updating of broken and unclean décor, and needs better training of employees in the area of customer service/​cleanliness.
Extra: I have read from other reviewers that this place has paid for the meals of those in the military. And that’s pretty awesome – so they do get points for that.

Very good pizza and polite employees, highly recommend that you try it and they have a lot of choices not just in toppings but from pasta and more.

This place has a friendly atmosphere with the best pizza! My 4 year old doesn’t eat that much, but every time we come here he eats the entire mini pizza by himself! Love the sauce, the bread and the Dutch Apple dessert pizza.

We just opened a new buisness not far from them and find it impossible to leave most days. If it were not for Gambinos delivery… we would be lost! Love, Love, Love their Tortileni alfredo! Their Speghetti runs a clse second!

Tasty pizza with a good amount of cheese and sauce. Loved the Dutch apple dessert pizza, and the garlic sticks weren’t bad but they forgot our marinara sauce and I would have liked them with a lil more garlic. Also wanted to note that while I was on the phone ordering, the owner (maybe?) Was quite excited that two military men walked in and I overhead him telling another employee that he was going to cover their meal. That alone greatly impressed me, and I will continue to give them my business.

This is the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had! You have to try! It’s a Fairfield must!

Excellent pizza, Meat Cravers and Cheese Stick Pizza are the best! Friendly staff and cheerful. First time I had pizza delivered, driver couldn’t find my office and he was so patient and nice about me not knowing how to guide him… But he found it, and complaints! Totally recommend it.

Is this the best pizza I have ever had? Nope. This is Fairfield… in Texas… get real. Is it damn fine pizza for Cypress Texas? Why yes, it is! We have been ordering from Gambino’s for over a decade and it’s be best around.
A piece of advice regarding some complaints I see here. Order what the place is for. If you want wings, go to a chicken shack. If you want a sandwich, go to a sandwich shop. If you want pizza, Gambino’s is a solid pizza choice.
So, if you have been punishing yourself with Pizza Hut or torturing yourself with domino’s, try Gambino’s next time. I think you will be glad you did!

Slightly above average pizza for slightly above average prices.
This used to be the only pizza place around when we first moved to Fairfield so this is what we always ordered. Now we usually get Dominos because it is a better deal.

Yummy! Gambino’s was a happy surprise for my hubby and I, just weeks after we moved to the area. Driving home one evenign we saw the delivery truck witht he Gambinos Pizza sign, and decided hmmmm… let’s give it a try. So glad that we did.
The pizza is MILES apart from any other in the area, especially the chain pizza places. Bonus, they have «Mini-Pizza’s» which are small, affordable single portion sized pies. Get any of their regular sized pizza’s in a mini-​size to give it a try. And they are cheap. The dont deliver these mini’s however, but they are good enough that we dont mind picking them up.
If you live in this area of town, definitely give Gambinos a try.

I’ve been eating Gambino’s Pizza since I was 10 years old. My dad helped build the place actually. Let’s just say Gambino’s is a significant part of my childhood.
What I love most from Gambino’s is their cheese stick pizza. I’ve been ordering that and only that since I was a kid. I haven’t had Gambino’s in years… I should go back sometime soon.
