I have visited Foundations Academy multiple times since my 2-year-old granddaughter is there. I never cease to be impressed with Foundations and the attention they provide the children who are entrusted to their care. The pictures my daughter-in-law forwards to me of the fun activities in the classroom are bright spots in my days. The director is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched her relate to others and am constantly impressed at her professional, yet gracious demeanor. The teachers work hard at the school. I think it would be impossible to find a better school/day care for my granddaughter to attend. Some of my favorite things about Foundations:(1) My son and daughter-in-law feel safer by being able to view what is going in the classroom through the school’s live camera feed for parents.(2) Parents have codes to use to access the building since the doors are locked for safety(3) The facility is modern, beautiful and well-kept.(4) The children learn instead of being entertained. Our granddaughter learned baby-sign-language signs to communicate before she could speak. Books and music are a part of every day at Foundation’s.(5) The playground and equipment are well designed and enjoyed by the students.

As a mom searching for possible childcare options, I thought an honest review might be helpful to others. When I read on their website that Foundations Academy was Aggie-owned, I was excited with great expectations. On the outside everything looked new and nice, but immediately upon walking in I was disappointed(as well as my mother-in-law). The entrance was dark, cluttered, chaotic, and uninviting. The front staff was friendly which raised my hopes a little, yet as the tour progressed I was not impressed. Although in adherence with the required ratios, I felt that there were a lot of babies/students with teachers who were simply there to do a job. Everything appeared«good enough» but there lacked an overall sense of passion or professionalism. Infants were changed on the countertop without any type of changing pad. To top it off, the director seemed overwhelmed and a bit clueless. She didn’t even introduce herself! The front staff was also really trying to advocate to determine if there would be an availability at the time I was needing and if it could be secured by a deposit. The director’s response was that she didn’t know and could offer no guarantees. I further clarified that if I left a deposit, and no spot was available if it was refundable. I was told it would not be then advised that a weekly phone check in might be the best option! Unfortunately based on my impression, I don’t think I would entrust my infant’s care here. I know that no place is perfect, but this center really fell short!
