Just left the front office, and although the owner was kind, and professional, she offered no reason as to why their pricing was such a significantly higher price than all surrounding competitors.
No price break offered from a 5 year old to an adult, both are charged $ 150 per month for unlimited sessions if you do not sign a contract. If you do sign a contract there is a price break, but a $ 200 charge for breaking the contract under any circumstances.
Pity, I live a stones throw away from the place so the location is ideal, but when I asked if there was any room for negotiations it was a flat out no. When I asked how they justify their pricing compared to others, her only response was that this is our pricing and has been for 30 years. She did mention that they were a family ran business, and thats why other places were less expensive. I replied, doesn’t that allow you to have more opportunity for negotiations? I was left with a poker faced stare.
Had she given me a reason for no price difference between a 5 year old attending, and a 35 year old attending, and or been willing to negotiate, I would have happily signed up.
Missed opportunity Ferrer Academy, and although I respect your right to charge what you will, I’m not willing to invest with a studio that seems more concerned with profit than gaining a student for life.

By far the best Martial Arts training out there. Both my nephew and his 8yr old daughter are both taking the Muay Thai boxing training with Ferrer Academy of Martial Arts and they both love it!
Personal training is provided by Master Ferrer on a regular basis and he has a great sense of humor.
If you are looking for a place for your children to learn martial arts and at the same time give them discipline, focus, and strength you can’t find a better place as all the instructors are just terrific with kids.

Ferrer Academy had now added Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to it’s curriculum. Sensei Gerry Noche is a professional MMA fighter and a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He teaches Gi and No Gi as well as MMA seminars. As his student, I find that he is an excellent instructor for both adults and children and a masterful technician in BJJ. If you want to learn this martial art in an respectful and safe environment come to the Ferrer Academy and study under Sensei Noche.

Ferrer’s Academy offers Taekwondo, Thai Boxing and Kali /​Eskrima. All traditional art. The best part about starting Martial Arts at this Academy is social experience. Master Ferrer provides a safe, fun and positive atmosphere for everyone. You can call it family atmosphere. Kids learn basic fundamentals and a strong foundation in Martial Arts.
This is a family place and you’ll learn that very quickly when Master Ferrer gives you push ups! I remember doing so many. If you think 100 is a lot, try a 1000.

The Silent Warrior!

World Class Tae Kwon Do Training here. He has trained olympic hopefuls and sent several people to nationals and the olympic training center. One of his students Dana Martin would have represented the US in the olympics had it not been for Kay Poe!!! Many of his students have opened up gyms in the so cali area.
Excellent Muay Thai Program. He has sent many fighters to Vegas and inside the gym you will many belts from past champions hanging on the wall. Between Armen (Silent Warrior) and Aaron (The animal) they at one time held six belts.
As for the Kali class, I havent been trained in it, but im sure it is just as good.
Good sparring and good times! Got my black belt from him. Trained there for 6 six years/.Mr. Pely will push you an push you hard./ There will be times where you will be able to ring the sweat out of your shirt!
Only problem is he’ll hold you back on the sparring once you catch your rhythm and won’t let you go the full round sometimes. Otherwise excellent place! There has been times when I wish he would not stop the sparring. Would prefer if he left it for the full three minute or at least something consistent so at least you have a 30 sec bell so you can gun it the last 30 seconds.
Great gym for the family and casual fans of martial arts. All styles has a mix of adults and kids who spar with each other.
