I have several mixed feelings, a love/hate relationship with this school. My daughter went here for 1 year(ages 2 — 3) while she did develop a great relationship with Ms. Margie, and ADORED her… Ms. Margie is very loving, affectionate and caring. A wonderful person all around. We will miss her dearly. Everything else. I don’t have too much to brag about. A reason why I went somewhere else, was because one of the teachers. I took time to talk to the teacher personally. I noticed my daughter wasn’t receptive to her and was actually a little scared in the morning at drop off. My daughter was supposed to be moving to her class for the next year, and I wanted to clear up any problems there might be, PLUS I know my daughter can get a little timid with anyone«new.» However, in reality, that teacher wasn’t new. My daughter had been getting dropped off to her for the whole year. I wanted to give the teacher a chance, benefit of the doubt and so forth, but nothing really changed. After our talk, she still continued to focus on morning procedures; like taking chairs down, preparing snacks and cups, moving things around instead of focusing on the children. She just wasn’t personable and inviting enough for our child. It was a good start for my daughter, they had lots of arts and crafts, lots of fun school events, and she was loved and showed affection by most employees… but the school was just missing what I needed for my child to advance. They are too relaxed with rules, for instance they allow any food to be brought and given to your child by anyone(with no regulations). Not the cleanest preschool out there. No security, anyone can walk in at any time. I wanted to get my daughter ready for TK or Kindergarten and ABC Development just seems to be more of a babysitter than of having a curriculum, especially since it more so catered to before and after school daycare for the elementary next door. ABC Development was one of the cheapest daycares that I found at the time… and it was the nicest of that bunch. I am paying a little more now and I get a lot more, so I guess you get what you pay for. ALSO, the director, Cindy, could also afford to be more friendlier and welcoming as well. Yes, I am over protective, so maybe that’s where her and I didn’t get along too well.
