I absolutely love love their blackberry cobbler. It’s amazing. My favorite thing on the menu. They could definitely use a better seating system and more waitresses. The food is pretty good. I usually get the grilled chicken breast, salad and broccoli. My family and I go often. I have three stars due to them being under staffed and the horrible seating system. The price isn’t that bad either. Kids meals very reasonable

Biancke’s has amazing pie. I’ll start with that. This is where I’ll order homemade pies in town. Also, when my husband and I came here earlier in the spring for a nice dinner together, we were impressed with Biancke’s: delicious food(amazing fried pickles!) at reasonable prices within a quaint, historical restaurant. Come as you are or dress up a bit. Fast forward to December, our next visit: We wanted to eat quickly in town before Cynthiana’s tree lighting ceremony and this was the only place open. Well, because of that, it was packed. When we walked in, there was one large table in front available. My husband and I tentatively sat at the table. Five minutes later someone came by to take our drink orders and inform us she was looking for menus. Our drinks came but no menus. After another five minutes, more people trickled into the restaurant. My husband and I took survey of our lack of time left before the lighting, the yet-to-come menus and spacious table… decided to leave, and gave our table to a large group that came in. We went to pay for our drinks and they told us not to worry about it. I felt so bad leaving but we were short on time and they were clearly understaffed for the night.(We got food from the BBQ food truck down the street.) We returned an hour and a half later with some friends who had yet to eat, thinking it would be better now that the crowd dissipated. There were a few more empty tables, but we were brought to one in the back room. And then… We were forgotten. Ok, not really, but it sure felt like it. We waited awhile for menus and drinks; other tables in the same area waited a long time too. The lone waitress didn’t ever come by. By the time we all got our meals, we were so tired of waiting that we were ready to go. We are fast. The fried pickles were tasteless. I couldn’t bear to eat them. Soooo disappointed. Everyone else enjoyed their food but was eager to leave. We gobbled it up, and hastily paid before dashing out the door. I don’t know… We must’ve been there on a bad, busy night. But I don’t want to go back quite yet.

Great food, great atmosphere, excellent prices! I had the big Green burger. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had. The homemade chips are awesome!

Great family-run place with tons of homestyle dishes! Great pie with a hometown atmosphere. If you want more than a slice(which you will), ordering a day ahead I believe is customary. The framed pictures of a variety of things including high school classes are awesome to see. They serve Ale-8 which isn’t true for every restaurant in town. They also have a few TVs to catch sports and so on. Breakfast, lunch, dinner one-stop place.

I visited here because of the reviews I saw on Unilocal. If you are looking for a quaint little café then this definitely fits the bill. I had the Blt that had fried green tomatoes on it. I dipped my Saratoga style chips in homemade ranch which was awesome. I tried the corn pudding which I really didn’t care for. I stead of slightly sweet like I am used to it has more of an egg custard type taste. My server was very friendly and country-ish which definitely fits the image of the restaurant. If I lived closer I would come often.

With help from Unilocal reviews and a recommendation from the Cynthiana Chamber of Commerce, I stopped at this local place after completing the Cynthiana Civil War Driving Tour. I definitely stepped back in time with the linoleum tiled floors, table coverings, and wood tables and chairs. The register area, where they display their pies, might have been an old soda counter in bygone years. A unique place to have a meal. I went simple, just the club and a side of corn pudding. They were both very tasty and the club was stacked high with meat. For dessert, because their pies are evidently THE thing(I saw several pieces being cut and sold while I was sitting at my table), I went for the peanut butter option, and wow, what a sweet and tasty treat. My server was timely, friendly, and helpful when I had some questions about bringing a group in. Oh, and they even have a half dozen beers on draught. I will be back!

Bianki’s is a cynthiana institution, founded in 1894. They serve up made to order quality food at unbelievably low prices. The staff are always very friendly, and you always feel welcome. You can choose from the breakfast or lunch /dinner menu at all times.

Great place! Family wanted to meet halfway before they leave tomorrow and we found this local place. Small town, family style atmosphere. If there’s a middle, this is it. Not the Ritz and not a greasy spoon. I’d say perfect. Sirloin was cooked perfectly, portions/prices were great. Very attentive server! Would definitely stop back in. Awaiting desserts now, too soon to report, will update later :)

I had a perfectly good lunch at Biancke’s today. They have an adorable little downtown store front and a dizzyingly long list of daily specials. The baked apples that were one of the special sides were amazing. The green beans off the menu were, well, green beans from a big can. I ordered the grilled chicken breast — the half order was a nice size for lunch and came with 2 sides and a roll. It was tasty but nothing memorable about it. It is distinctly possible that this is a 3 star instead of a 4 star review only due to my faulty ordering. The fried pork chop sounded good and the entire dessert case looked delicious. Health food and home cooking are rarely a good combo, but they did okay with it.

If you are looking for the«out of the way», «mom and pop», «country cooking», «the local place to eat», YOUHAVEGOTTOSTOPHERE. Daily specials, daily vegetables, GREATSERVICE, GREATFOOD, GREATPRICES. This restaurant is an institution in Cynthiana. Right on the main drag(SR27) in downtown, this restaurant is the place to go. Make it a special trip from wherever you are. Daily specials include Pan Fried Chicken, Oven Baked Steak, Meatloaf, etc. Their CORNPUDDING is addictive. Believe it or not, when you order a tossed salad– the entire salad is FRESH. No BROWN on anything! I really like their Bleu Cheese Dressing… it’s a little different but so good! YOUHAVETOGO! And for you other city dwellers… you won’t believe this one… THESERVICEIS(shh!) … N I C E ! And they(shh!) S M I L E. I LOVETHISPLACE!
