Toto, We’re Not in Napa Anymore. Bro. I was actually tempted to give this place 5 stars because I had such a fascinating experience. It would be great to shoot a reality show at Vineyard 48. I’d call it «the Jersey Shore.» I’m quite certain that most of the people there started out the day saying«bro, let’s go to a #$@!ing wine place, bro.» I sheet you not, there were 5 fights while we were there. Two of the fights were between women. One fight was right next to us and caused me to spill half of my plastic cup of the worst wine I’ve ever had. We asked a security guard if this was a regular thing. He said not at all, but the fact that there were 15+ guards at a vineyard makes me suspect that this is just the party line. This fairgound full of Trump voters was the last stop on our wine tasting trip. Let’s make no mistake… this is no wine tasting. It’s a club situated on a vineyard that happens to be serving wine and beer because it lost it’s liquor license. Vineyard 48 is about as much of a vineyard as Tunnel was a tunnel, or Limelight was a Church. Over the years I’ve done my fair share of drinking in dodgy low class joints, but this was the first time I’ve ever seen a bartender serving drinks with a cigarette dangling from his mouth. Vineyard 48 truly puts the ass in class.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon. Setting is beautiful there’s picnic tables tents an indoor dance floor with a DJ, a few bathrooms and port a potties an indoor bar and out door bar and a cigar shop. You pay $ 10 as a cover and with that you get to sample 4wines(fair) they have a red and white menu all their wines are a little sour tasting. The best thing on the menu was the white sangria. Attire was sun dresses for girls and polos /button downs for guys. Its deff a different atmosphere for a vineyard — very much a party style, like collegeish and can get a little messy. It was fun! I’d go again … All cigars were Dominican and fresh. I suggest getting a short spiced rum cigar! It was good!

Went here today with my husband for a quick wine tasting and to purchase some Cabernet Sav. A friend had given me a few bottles of Cabernet from there so I figured since we were near there already why not stop in. Not impressed at all. Although I do like the Cabernet, the place is not impressive. It is cheap for a tasting and«free bbq» but the clientele leave much to be desired. Also, the people who work there, especially the girl inside, didn’t seem to have any patience to wait on us. I was asking about the Cabernet to another pourer(asking about the reserve bottle) and she was so snotty that we walked out of the place without making any purchase. Go somewhere else if you want people to be nice to you when you are spending money.

This was the most party scene of all the vineyards. Plenty of singles as well as bachelorette groups. So the music is loud and the people very inebriated. So not sure if the pretty rows of growing grapes were appreciated. They offered a food truck that served seafood but they were a bit slow and with a few hundred hungry people another food truck would have been appropriate. Only place that also ID’d and stamped one’s hand. Wait staff also wasn’t knowledgeable about the wine. Just served what was on the list. Fun if one is young and looking to party.

Not sure why they call themselves a Vineyard? They aren’t serving wine. The drinks are dreadful… sickeningly sweet and there’s a cheesy dj inside playing NJ club music. This place is so gross and tacky. Would NEVER go here again.

The setting here was very pretty, it had a nice garden and the wine slushies were yum! The other wine selections were only so-so.

Didn’t like this winery at all. I mean if you’re trashed and ready to feel like you’re at a bar then make this your last stop. The tables were really tacky and smushed together. I felt like I was at a bad Bingo night. We did come here in the winter so I ought to give this place another try during the warmer months, but I love other wineries in the winter. It’s not your typical winery where you can peacefully hang out at the bar and try different wines. It’s more of a… try to get the bartenders attention and flag down a drink while you hand over your card to open a bar tab situation. Definitely not opposed to that kinda night, but for wine touring? Yeah, not so much.

On our vineyard stops this was our final stop. After visiting a vineyard where we learned all about the wines, was taken on a tour this vineyard is not that at all. Someone else i read their reviews that this is the grad school of the boardy barn. Having not been there but have heard many stories. I already had an idea about this place. When you arrive they stamp you, you pay $ 10 for 4 tastings. You are given 4 gold coins. They use plastic cups. And as young and cute as the young server outside was he really had no knowledge to make recommendations. His name was Rob. They have the wines listed on some laminated papers categorized. But i guess your getting old when you want to hear about the wines whether or noy you know what they are talking about! Some pros they have outdoor serving bar area. Under a tent They do offer hot dogs and hamburgers for free. No gold coins required for that. They do have a bar in the inside and a live dj. Some negatives Completely party scene if your into that You cant walk onto the vineyard vine I doubt id return here. The wine was okay Rob our outdoor server

Promotes large crowds that are younger and not for the conservative wine connoisseur. This is a tourist spot and good for a visitor of Long Island. Flavors are prevalent. Tours are promoted and I suggest you bring 1: A DRIVER for SAFETY, 2: Food items; grapes, crackers, snacks while here at Vineyard 48. Again, PLEASE be careful and practice safe consumption.

Winery? Not! If you don’t know the difference between Cabernet and Merlot and only drink to get drunk, then you may appreciate this place. If, however, you are looking to explore the variety and complexity of Long Island’s exceptional wines, you will want to avoid wasting your time here. Catering exclusively to a party crowd, they bring large crowds in by the busload, the wines they produce here are more like alcohol-fortified soft drinks.

This place is NOT a winery so don’t get your hopes up… and basically it’s a party joint that has a few wine branches around it and have horrible«wine» that is basically juice… it’s a fine time and an ok place but it totally would run there for a day of fun.

If you are looking for good wine and relaxing vineyard environment this is not your spot!!! Save your money and buy a box of wine(yes I said box because that is how awful the wine was).If you are looking for a place to hang with friends, pack you own coolers of food, inhale cigar smoke and people watch then go! There were plenty of picnic tables for friends to gather. The inside bar had a DJ that was pretty good. The bathrooms were disgusting but that is what you would expect from the crowd that was there when I went. The staff was very friendly. The bucket of sangeria was $ 50…it was decent and served in a bright beach bucket. Ladies do not wear crazy heels. I watched 4 ladies fall flat on their faces walking on the pebbles & grass. Enjoy the people you are with that is what really matters.

You definitely won’t find any of the wines in Wine Spectator. They all smell like cotton candy. Not really a serious winery. not sure what the goal is here because they claim that everything is estate grown and bottled. To be able to use that prestigious of a lable goes pretty much by the wayside when you supplement the flavours with strawberry

In terms of wine… stick to the sangria. It seems there wine is soooo juicy and sweet that its perfect for sangria. That is it though. Its not something you would have on its own. When we came here, we ended up switching to the beer because the wine was gross. This is more of a party place than a calm chill winery. So if you come here, be ready to party. End of story.

Warning, my Long Island is about to come out:. I think some of the negative reviews here, are from people who accidentally sat on a stick, and now it is lodged in a place that is uncomfortable. This place is phenomenal! Came here on a tour with a group of 25ish friends(both single and not) and we all had a great time! If you are doing a tour, I do recommend that you come here last. We were getting very tired of the stuffy, quiet atmosphere at other wineries and were looking to have a good time, we found it here! This vineyard is beautiful, but the same can be said about every vineyard on Long Island. We all received tokens which you exchange for tastings, each wine was pretty delicious. The free BBQ was a nice touch, and we were able to sit together and enjoy the food and wine on cute little picnic tables. Also… BUCKETSOFSANGRIA?! How aboutttt yes. After the BBQ, we walked it inside to dance to the DJ which was an awesome touch and definitely something different than the usual stuffiness that many wineries offer. If you’re looking to party and get wine-drunk with your friends, come here! I’m beyond happy that we came here. My friends and I have so many memories from this day at Vineyard 48, can’t wait to be back again.

I wouldn’t call this a winery. It’s something that belongs on the Jersey Shore. Nothing but drunk young people stumbling over each other. Cheap wine and loud music. Skip this winery at all costs.

Party/club atmosphere. Lots of bachelorette parties right now. As for the wine… Yuck!!! Stick to the beer or overpriced bucket of sangria.

This shouldn’t be called a winery. A group of 10 of us came here and left within 15 minutes. The wine sucks and plastic cups. REALLY… for a place that wants trashy you need more bathrooms.

This place really is the wine version of the Boardy Barn. It is anti-vineyard and anti– high class. The wines are standard to poor quality but that’s not why people come here. They come here to get trashed, listen to loud dance music and act like teenagers. Some people are close to that age others are over the hill but trying to have a good time. I am personally not a fan of this place, but if this sounds like your thing — go for it.

If you are young and single and want to party, this is the place for you. Loud music, party atmosphere, very good wines, BUCKET O’ SANGRIA, crazy party people and barbeque is your menu at Vineyard 48. I have had their wines before on separate occasions and loved them all, but this was my first experience at the actual vineyard and I LOVED it!!! If you are looking for quiet, muzak and zen, then go somewhere else. If you wanna PAR-TAY, this is your place.
